I loved the story that the author created she really developed the characters well. For being her first published book “congratulations on that by the way” and writing those scenes at such a young age I foresee many steamy stories in her future. I gave it only three stars because for me as a reader I had a hard time with the sentence structuring that sometimes overshadowed the scene where I was hyper fixated on reading the sentence over again rather than seamlessly going through the adventure and there were some word misusage that sometimes shattered the scene. I am glad that I read it all the way through the twisted ending I didn’t see coming! I definitely have added it to my Book Trophy List because that cover is gorgeous. I look forward to more of her stories and see how her storytelling can evolve from here!

I enjoyed the plot of this book but unfortunately, the way the sentences were laid out kind of threw me off? I know it’s this authors first book so maybe going forward, she will change the format. It made it kind of hard for me because I kept focusing on the layout instead of what was going on in the chapter itself. I also didn’t love some of the grammar and maybe that’s just me being a book snob… it made me want to eat chocolate covered strawberries though that’s for sure!! All in all, this wasn’t really my cup of tea but wishing the author all the best with her future books🥰

I’m mad that it took me so long to finally read this book. Girl you did your thing here!! For anyone that like mafia romance, enemies to lovers, touch her you and you get unalived, oh and some spice? Yeah this one hit them all! I loved the character development, and read this in one sitting. The plot was plotting and the spice was lightly sprinkled. Oh and I loved a slow burn book too!

Loved this book!
The story is so interesting, spicy and funny.
The way the relationship was progressing between Isobel and Zelner was very engrossing! Loved the way they were basically pranking each other, like how he locked her up in this closet with a serpent for ruining his suits.
The plot twist towards the end was shocking like I did not expect that at all. And the ending was so cute!
Definitely recommend if you want some mafia enemies-to-lovers!

The story follows Isabel, who finds herself entangled in a web of desire and deceit leading to intense emotional stakes. The characters are well developed and draws the reader into their journey. It’s a slow burn with moments of passion with darker undertones. If you enjoy a dark mafia romance that challenges the boundaries of love and trust in this book will keep you turning in the pages.
