Mysterious twins.

Hidden secrets.

And a world of magic beneath our own.

Connie's life and relationships with her lifelong friends are thrown into turmoil with the arrival of the Burke twins in a quiet country village in the heart of England. She longs for adventure and their sudden appearance, other worldly good looks, and unwillingness to share their past captures her imagination.

While Peter Burke is reluctant to be here, longing for before, for a place to call home, he has no interest following his twin sisters lead and making friends. But the more he is drawn to Connie, the more he wants to reveal about himself and his unconventional upbringing.

Connie feels Peter's pull like gravity, but the more she learns about him the more she questions what is truly possible in this world.

I'm actually happy to see I'm in the minority because that says that maybe this just wasn't for me.
I waited the entire book to see the Peter Pan part... I'm a huge Peter Pan fan, down to the tattoos on my head. And I did not get even 1 hint of Peter Pan from this story.

However, I was ok with it until 68%. The whole group just excepted something so strange and impossible and jumped right to, let's train you in something we know nothing about and that can't even be real?! I just didn't get it, that's where Kerry lost me.

77% took it too far for me. 88% gave me the ick and I couldn't pick my jaw up. 95%.... I just don't know.

The first half seem to go slow but at a tolerable pace and the second half just went full sprint. I see the potential for TWO stories here. Two separate story lines. It isn't awful.... but only the first half of the book had my attention and none of the book said Peter Pan.

Kerry, thank you for sending this over for me to experience; I'm sorry it wasn't my cup of tea.

Other Nature is a new adult paranormal romance.

In a sleepy English town very little happens until twins arrive at the local comprehensive school.

Connie has always made new people feel welcome and she does her best to invite the twins into her group of friends.

Peter and Anna have recently been orphaned; they’ve lived a sheltered life, been home-schooled and have had no contact with the outside world for seventeen years until their mother died. Their aunt has given them a home, but they find it hard to integrate with others and into society. They also have a secret; Peter can use his energy to speed up the growing process of plants.

I liked the nature theme that this story took while the romance worked well. I found that I really enjoyed the first half of the book. The second half of the story had less romance and focused more on Peter’s power and its development—although this wasn’t bad, I didn’t enjoy it as much as the first half. There’s a cliffhanger ending with an open end which could easily lead into a second book if that is the author’s intention.

Book thoughts:

"I'm hooked he's addictive, too addictive. It's never enough and yet all too much at the same time. I always want more so much more"
This is exactly what I feel about this book I stayed up until 7 am reading without stopping, ruined my sleeping schedule, and ignored all of my responsibilities because yeah why not I couldn't put it down and I finished it in one sitting!
The book ended on a nerve-wracking
cliffhanger which left me in an utter mess
The characters are so special and now they became my absolute comfort characters
I'm beyond attached, I can't get them off my mind I'm currently obsessed:)
The plot is full of twists and it's written in such a stunning style that takes you on a ride to a magical world that needs to be unraveled.
The romance is wholesome and heartwarming☺️💗💗especially Peter's character he is vulnerable, quirky, genuine sometimes selfish crazy strong protective, and everything
Connie has such a pure heart and understanding she's so sweet. Aww the chemistry between the two😭
The profound harmony starting from the friendship that we will see growing between all of the characters
Peter and his Twin Anna's bond and connection is something distinctive and pleasant that I loved so much🤍
This book is closely related to nature and draws your attention to our mesmerizing surroundings the stars, Earth, plants rain all these incredible creations around us with vivid descriptions and a poetic writing style in some parts which I adored🥰
The POV is by the Twin and Connie it's amazing you feel it all<3
P. S Peter is on the top of my book boyfriends list🥰 I love the stars, long walks, books, coffee, and the rain which were in my favorite book✨
Read it if you like them too🫶🏻
Rating:
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 It is definitely a five-star read for me, it's so close to my heart🥺

That Epilogue

Quotes:📖
He is certainly not my boyfriend. Nor does he want to be. Thing is, he has an awesome smile, and every now and then, I find myself kissing him. It’s nice. Uncomplicated and fun.

He is not what I was expecting. Intense but gentle—a duality I am not used to.

As I go, I turn to find Peter watching me leave. D*mn. I’m in deep.

“Anna, anybody who eats all that sh*t without any thought about what is in it has to be willing to live in some kind of welcome ignorance.”

Kissing you is the most addicting thing I have ever tasted.”

“That’s the problem, Peter. I am starting to feel consumed by you.” In the darkness of my room, his eyes look black. He whispers into my ear, “Then, let me.” His breath hot, he begs, “Let me consume you.”

“I’m just saying, if I were you, I would start asking some questions. Not about your laser-beam hands, but about your dad. Who was he? Where did he come from? Did he have magical powers? That sort of stuff.”

Thoughts: 💡
This story is creative and imaginative. The plot is fun and the world building is excellent. My only complaint is how stiff and formal the writing is.
There are three different POVs. All of the characters are well rounded with their own struggles that make them easy to identify with, even when their circumstances are strange.
I really loved the relationship between the twins and the friend group. The characters all treated each other with kindness and respect.
The love scenes were all fade to black. It felt slightly awkward for me, because I read spicy books and even though the characters in this story weren’t abstinent the story would still lead right up to the action then fade to black. However, the characters are teenagers true to form so it works.

Fun Bits:
⚜️ Friendship
⚜️ Self Discovery
⚜️ Magical Realism
⚜️ Great Plot

Important Notes:✨
If you don’t like cliffhangers don’t read the epilogue. The story has a good conclusion in the final chapter but the epilogue ends in a doozy.

Nothing strange happens in this high school - until we are introduced to two very beautifully written main characters. Here is the kicker though, these main characters are twins with supernatural powers. We get the intense mix of secrets, adventure, the supernatural and nature.
I absolutely was super involved with this nature aspect. I haven’t read a romance involving the paranormal with the mix of being natured focused. It made the story interesting to read. I was invested in the main characters, their stories, their secrets and their developments. And then we are hit with that cliffhanger. But it’s worth reading the second book because of it!

What a story!!

Absolutely blown away by this story!! I don’t think I’ve ever read a story and loved every single character. Incredible plot that keeps you guessing the whole way through, I didn’t see the ending coming and genuinely let out a little scream!! Don’t miss this one, I cannot wait for the next one!!!

This book is absolutely amazing! All loveable and strong characters. The storyline and writing were fantastic. I love the elemental magic. I felt part of the book. There were so many emotions. The only part I did not like was the high school part of the story. I know without it, the story would not come together as it did. The MMC reminded me of Jack from supernatural. I felt Harry Potter and Twilight vibes. This book is an awsome start to this trilogy.

What an amazing book! I loved every character, plot twist and wholesome Connie x Peter moment! The characters were so well written and realistic (ignoring the supernatural aspect ;)) ‘Other nature’ is very similar to the ‘Origin’ series by Jennifer L. Armentrout, but just as good. It deserves the same amount of praise! Overall a very wholesome, exciting read and definetily one of my fave reads this jear! Kerry Williams is a brilliant, extremely talented author! I really think ‘Other nature’ has a lot of potential and will be loved by teens and young adults alike! ❤️🥀

Some secrets should better be hidden especially when they can turn things upside down. That's what Connie thought when Peter's secrets unravel as their connection develops, endangering not only his relationship with Connie but everything he holds dear. Things start changing when Burke twins show up in a little English village, upending her devoted friendships. Her desire for adventure is piqued by their unexpected appearance, otherworldly beauty, and reluctance to discuss their background. Initially, Peter Burke is not interested in opening up. But the more he wants to open up to Connie about himself and his unusual childhood, the more he is pulled to her. The most important part for Romantasy readers: the feelings are mutual! As there relationship brews Connie wonders at the magnificent hidden mysteries of this universe.

Other Nature is the first in the young adult romantasy trilogy written by Kerry Williams. The most important feature of this read is, it doesn't overburden itself to follow cliche tropes. Kerry Williams provides a fresh perspective here. She breaks stereotypes. The story is told from multiple points of views so we get raw sketches of the characters' minds and reason behind their actions. Thus, the characters come close and readers relate to them. The plot is wholesome. I loved how the author has used weather as a tool to set the mood. It's a slow burn read. It cooks slowly but strongly. The Cliffhanger in the end makes you restless. The language and the flow leave huge impacts in romantasies and this book succeeds in that regards with flying colours. Overall, Other Nature is a coming of age romantasy book that has enough magic to charm you to the next in the series.

Holy shit that ending🤯

I am obsessed with this book, everything about it from start to finish was just excellent.

I loved all of the characters in the story, they all brought something to it and enhanced the book. And I really enjoyed the way they all had their own POV, it really allowed us to get to know them and connect with them on a deeper level.

The writing and plot were just excellent, the author really made use of the different POVs to move the story along and show us a huge, but still interwoven storyline.

And the atmosphere?! There were points I was on the edge of my seat waiting to find out what happened next. It was just so enticing.

On the whole, I really enjoyed this book and its an easy 5 stars from me.

I did like it, but why cliffhanger tho😭 Connie is a normal teenage girl, but falling for a guy who has magic? That's crazy, and Peter, the guy who fell for Connie, didn't understand himself yet until the end. I like Anna (Peter's twin), cause for me she's the only one who can control Peter in some ways. Overall, this was a great read. Will I read the next book? Most likely, since this book was a good read, might as well see what's happens next right? I still need some answers, and this trilogy will be the death of me...I just realized that Peter sounds like Peter Pan at this point, you'll understand when you read this too;)

Other Nature is hands down one of the best books I have ever read! I love how the author writes in a way that really develops the characters and you can not help but feel infatuated with the main character, Peter, continuously feeling left like you need to know more about him. The plot is engaging and the whole narrative is written incredibly, allowing you to loose yourself in the story and the author’s love and appreciation for nature shines through.
Although the story is elaborately told, it is also an easy read and a definite page turner. Definitely one for your must read list!

I was surprised with how interesting this story ended up being. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect when walking into it. But it was unique and full of really fun magical realism. Which is one of my favs. I didn’t mind the different POVs because I feel it added to the story instead of taking away. The friendship was sweet to see between the twins and the people they had around them. The cliffhanger though destroyed me and I’m going to just pretend I didn’t read it lol. All in all you should definitely give this one a try!

Thank you to the author and Enchanted Ink Tours

I loved this book, it had me hooked right from the beginning as I liked the main characters straight away. As the story moves on you get tasters of Peter !! What is it about him ? The author keeps you guessing and you want to know more, definitely a page turner. The twins are very mysterious, and just like the characters in the book I wanted to know more. Can’t wait for the next book, as this one leaves you saying “No you can’t leave it there ,”

This was a wonderful paranormal romance that involved friendship, romance, and self discovery within the characters. I very much enjoyed the nature magic that Peter has, and the way that his character devolved throughout the story. I very much love a book that has multiple POVs, as it really helps the story evolve and helps you bond with each character more. The ending absolutely had a wild cliffhanger, and I’ll need more! I ate this book quickly!

When I found Kerry’s Instagram I knew her debut book was my cup of tea, and it did not disappoint!

It’s a YA Fantasy book set in the midlands, England which I loved!! Also major Peter Pan vibes which I found so cool, the guy literally controls the weather🌧️🧚🏻‍♂️

There is amazing character development throughout and the storyline kept me really hooked! It has a homely feel to it being set in England and is the perfect cozy, rainy day read!

I can’t wait to read the next book in the series🫶🏻

This book. This book killed me at the end T-T in a good way though.

As you read, you expect an ending where Peter and Connie have a happy ending together. But some endings aren't that perfect when it ends with death.

You're probably wondering "what?" Well, you're in a heck of a ride cause this book has twists and an adventure and questions to where this trilogy ends.

What more to expect is to see those characters grow... growing either to the good side or their other nature ;)

The New Arrivals . . .

Connie meets the Burke twins, Peter and Anna, who come to the village to live with their aunt. Home-schooled, they struggle with making friends. And Peter has a secret – he can speed up the growth of plants. Will Connie find out more about the new arrivals, especially since Peter seems very attracted to her? Are they holding other secrets as well?

The story was well-written and holds the reader’s attention. It becomes a page-turner as we wonder about their past and where this will lead. The characters are likable, so it’s easy to become invested in what happens with them. Grab your copy and follow a new and fascinating story line you will enjoy!

Wow what an original story! I loved how this book eased into the fantasy aspect, instead focusing on the characters initially and slowly introducing the magic. It had me so intrigued and I did not see where it was going!

I loved the characters and was immediately invested in them. And for a YA book there were certainly a few moments that had me blushing!

Needless to say that cliffhanger has me moving immediately onto the sequel. Can’t wait!
