It's easy to be adventurous when you can hide behind a mask ... And a holiday masquerade party at The Vice Club could be the answer to checking a few items off my naughty list before Christmas Eve rolls around.
One sequin-encrusted mask ... Check. A pair of killer heels ... Check. And a skimpy red satin outfit that would make Santa blush ... Check.
Now I just need to convince Tony, my friend and bar manager of the club, that turning last month’s steamy kisses into something more won’t ruin our friendship.
It’s Christmas, the season for giving. And I’m planning on gifting myself a very special present this year … A perfect night with my friend that will change everything.
Perfect Nights, a steamy Christmas novella, is book three in the Vice Club Nights series. Guaranteed HEA and no cheating.
Oh my god!!! Friends to lovers trope?! Happens over the holidays? MMC who feels like he’s too damaged to be in a relationship? Check, check, check!
This was such a quick steamy read! This time we are getting Tony and Sadie’s story and I loved it so much!
After a terrible date Sadie starts to wonder if she needs to give up on dating, add in a drunken kiss with one of her close friends, a friend who swears he’s too damaged for a relationship mind you, she can’t stop thinking about him. Tony is so hung up on his scars that he doesn’t think he can be in a relationship until the thought of Sadie with anyone else makes him mad.
It’s a steamy read and so fun! I loved it so much, and I have all the ingredients to make Sadie’s Pink Passion Explosion Cocktail so you can bet I’m definitely trying it (recipe at the end of the book!)
I was so lucky to be able to ARC read this! It’s the perfect quick steamy read if you need something this holiday season!
Baker Sadie is looking for someone who wants a true connection, but so far she is batting zero with men she meets through a dating app. She turns to her pseudo big brother Tony who is an ex Navy Seal and bar manager at The Vice (sex) Club, and vents about her situation. When as a result she gets drunk, Tony helps her to the second floor apartment of her friends Charli and puts her to bed, at which point Sadie pulls him close and lands a kiss on his lips.
Several weeks later, while at the bar with Tony, Sadie remembers the kiss and asks him why he didn’t tell her sooner. Turns out that Tony hopes she would never know because she wants more than he can give, considering his military scars, even though he is totally wrapped up in her. Then there are a few more kisses that make staying in the friend zone almost impossible.
The night of the club’s holiday masquerade party, Sadie, Charli, and Tori are (barely) clothed in’s exquisite outfits that show off their best assets, and their men are suitably grateful for their thoughtfulness in sharing.
Cate Lane has written another luscious story for the third book in the Vice Club Nights series that features two friends who morph into a whole lot more right before our eyes. The challenge is that they both have emotional baggage that could derail their fledgling romance. If you are a fan of this genre, don’t miss Perfect Nights because it is just that - perfect, And if you have not read the first two books, you will find they are just as steamy and filled with exquisite passion.
I love this series, I’m definitely going to miss it. This was a perfect addition to the series, really the perfect finally. The characters we know and love from the rest of the series pop up through out but the main focus is Sadie and Tony. Sadie and her terrible luck in dating and her friendly sex club bar manager, Tony the Ex-military hottie that doesn’t feel that his scarred past would be suitable for any type of relationship. Love how this novella moves at such a fast pace but the writing is so detailed has so much depth. The steamy scenes peered hot AF! I adore the friends to lovers aspect of this novella, add in the masquerade Christmas themed ball and we say Sparks flying. Overall this is the perfect steamy Xmas quick read. I can’t wait to see what this author’s next series will be
Perfect Nights is the perfect ending to the Vice Club Nights series. Both Sadie and Tony, supportive best friends were featured in the first two books of the series. It’s fitting that they should get there happily ever after. Tony a veteran with a lot of baggage feels like he can’t be in a relationship due to his PTSD. Sadie is the perfect person who offers unconditional support. The chemistry between them is off the charts and hot as Tony introduces her to the world of the Vice Club. Would definitely recommend the book and series for a steamy Christmas read.

Christmas couldn’t be hotter! Perfect Nights may be a novella, but it’s packed with a level of spice that is a big wow!
Tony is likeable guy. His background as a Navy SEAL and the loyalty he shows to his friends made his character stand out. His nickname for Sadie, shortcake, is adorable. I melted because I felt like giving her a nickname as a friend was a clue as to how he truly felt about her. The embers were there; they needed to fan the flames. The friends-to-lovers trope is perfect for them.
Tony and Sadie are good for each other. He brings out the adventurous side of her, but with safety and caring. She provides him with sweetness and emotional support that helps him open up about his feelings. Bring friends first developed a trust that allowed them to passionately explore their connection physically and emotionally.
Cate Lane does an exceptional job of creating a setting that adds a lot to the plot. A masquerade ball to celebrate the holidays in an elegant, over-the-top way is not a surprise for this series, but it was so good.
Absolutely beautiful cover! Covers are an attention-getter for me. A big round of applause for this stunning work.
Tony and Sadie were great friends but they didn’t know they had more feelings for each other til they shared a drunken kiss. Then that lead to more kissing to see if it was a one time deal.
I adored these two. They both had some moments where I was annoyed with them. But they each, mainly Tony, had their own reasons to try and keep it friendly between them.
But once Tony got over his fears he realized that it was Sadie that was helping him. Their story was super cute with great banter and humor. . . . 4️⃣⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️ 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻 8/10 recommendation
The Vice Club Series books are quick and very enjoyable. This one follows “Shortcake” and the sexy Bartender, friends to lovers. She tells him everything, he pines for her. They have a sexy interaction that slowly snowballs into some very sexy tension. Fun and enjoyable on all ends.
It's easy to be adventurous when you can hide behind a mask.... I have my target....now it's time to convince him it's a good idea.
This is the 3rd & finally book in the Vice Club Nights Series. A truely sweet finish to the series, not only do we get to read how Charli & Tori are getting on but you also get a look into Ryan & Tonys bond with their SEAL past.
Tony and Sadie, I loved them! This book was a lovely sprinkling of Christmas love and just yummy from start to finish!
Sadie kept going from one disastrous date to the next, but Tony was always their to talk to after, but after one boozy night Sadie sees him a little differently and then knows she wants to seduce him and make him realise he can do relationships and that they are perfect for each other.
The chemistry was hot and spicy and was a fab read . I loved the series, and this Christmas Novella was just perfect.
Loved it , Tony and Sadie we have met in the other two books in the series.
These two are friend if you’ve read the other two books there met when Sadie cousins started working at the vice club but one night at a masquerade party at the vice club Sadie decided to let loose but Tony is so protective of her her show her the playrooms🔥🔥🥵
And you can guess where the story goes hence the title of the book PERFECT NIGHT
Sadie and Tony character as so easy to fall in love with i just loved them together
It a great novella as always Cate has written a book that i didn’t put down
Sadie has a great friend in Tony. She goes on terrible dates, then pops into The Vice Club, where Tony makes her a cocktail and listens to her latest disappointment. One night, Sadie drinks a bit too much, and as Tony is putting her to bed, they kiss. Tony knows there is a spark, but he is damaged as a Navy SEAL and wouldn't want to ruin the friendship. However, with the sex clubs' Christmas party coming up and Sadie looking to experience it in all its glory, Tony is in for the best time of his life. Boundaries will be crossed, and their friendship and lives will never be the same.
It's hard to believe that the lovely Cate Lane, who hand delivered the book, wrote such a spicy novel. The story was a hot and steamy friend to lovers novella with a surprising amount of character development, and I lapped it up. I will be reading the first two books in the series very soon.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book by Cate! This is book three of a delightful series and is Sadie and Tony’s story. Sadie is a baker who is looking for love and with no luck turns to her friend who has his demons but can’t say no to her. This well written novella was a joy to read as they have a wonderful chemistry. I am so happy to have found Cate and I look forward to reading more from her.
Tony & Sadie together are steamy spicy perfection!!
This Christmas Novella is exactly the thing to start your holiday season with a Bang!!
Literally!
With the backdrop of the exclusive Vice Club and the promise of all its forbidden secrets we get a little glimpse inside this world and being adventurous in and out of the bedroom!
Sad to see this be the end of this series, but looking forward to more of Cates characters and their own love stories!
This was so good. I couldn’t put it down from the time I started reading. Sadie is on a boring date with a boring guy. She ends the evening drinking at her friend’s club and getting a bit drunk. No worries, her friend will take care of her. It doesn’t hurt that he is hot and very attractive. Who knew that a boring date could lead to the potential of something really good?
Back at the Vice Club! You managed to wrap it all up nicely in this great fast paced read! Thanks @catelanebooks for this ARC ebook to read and review.
This is such a fun, quick, spicy read perfect for the holiday season.
Sadie and Tony have such a sweet friendship, but until they share a drunken kiss, they don't realize they could be more. I adored both of them, and even though Tony tries to keep Sadie at bay, it's all to protect her from his own demons. Sadie's compassion and understanding of Tony allow him to open up more to her, and I loved how, even in the spicy scenes and as they explore the Vice Club, Tony always prioritizes Sadie.
If you want that warm, fuzzy holiday feeling but with the added spice, Perfect Nights by Cate Lane is just that...perfect.
