The story lore and adventure was pretty fun I found the main villain interesting, not in the "rules a dark kingdom" but how he had come back from the overthrow of it and subsequent curse and evolution.

I am almost sure I've seen the pictures of the pre-rolled characters used somewhere else in another work.

Standard Adventure Details I enjoyed:

1. Starts at a tavern with a Kingdom Shattering Extremely Important Mission yet only a handful of people in one party sent. (the pcs)
2. List of valuables hidden in every shop to prepare for widespread burglary, murder and looting by the players when they go to town.
3. A blacksmith (sometimes it's the general store or even other craftsmen) that charges MORE than the player's handbook and has inferior quality items.

There was also the normal and well-loved, Dungeons & Dragons descriptor staples of various items in rooms and scenery such as Rusting, Rotting, Stained and/or Filthy but NOTHING mouldering. How can the writer have left out the best one? :(

It was hard for me to decide between 3 stars and 4 stars and it could be rated either to me.
