This is book 3 in a series, and I'm finding that this series is a bit of a guilty pleasure.

Another excellent addition to not only this series but Nyraโ€™s group as well! I love that each male has their own unique personality and are easy to identify while reading and I still love Nyraโ€™s quiet strength throughout this series. Shes truly regal which is so often lost in books where the FMC is royalty but ends up acting like a complete common brat lol. Thatโ€™s not Nyra but she knows how to let loose and have fun while still taking her job seriously and I find that so admirable about her!

I love the building tension that has been growing since book 1 and honestly Iโ€™m still rooting for Axel ๐Ÿ˜‚ idc whatโ€™s happened or even what will happen because heโ€™s redeemed himself in my eyes so thatโ€™s all I need!

At this point Iโ€™m just reading to find out where the plot goes and if Axel will ever be redeemed. This book was fine, more fae politics which gets a bit boring for me, but Lyra meets her fourth mate and of course Axel is mad and then we get a cliffhanger that, in my opinion, wasnโ€™t anything too crazy? Like Iโ€™ll patiently wait for the next book so, I wonโ€™t be losing sleep waiting for it. So yeah, just waiting to see how everything plays out.

Well. This series has been a roller coaster for me. A little more happened in this one but still not enough. This book felt like s completely different one. Idk if it's just me but apparently everyone is a shifter? And she needs a nest and has a heat after she meets her mates? Axel is a wolf shifter? How are we just now learning this. I skimmed alot of this because it was just boring and irrelevant.

Everything was very rushed with absolutely no relationship building. She talked about how her mom took forever to meet her mates and took up to six months for them to actually meet, but she is doing it instantly. There was no fun plot twist and it all seemed very high school.

I think I could have lived without the mushroom headed body part but the rest was a good time. Sheโ€™s working her way through the world, finding her mates. Some cabin scenes with Khade who is insanely possessive and hot. ๐Ÿฅต I knew what was going to happen for awhile and I still am upset by the ending. Not upset with the author but upset for our characters. I hope to see redemption and groveling in the next book. Also, the newest mate was introduced in this book and heโ€™s a beast. Quick read for the shifter book lover.

Really good

I love this series and this book has not disappointed in the least with 2 more mates added loads of spice and a cliffhanger ending that I predicted but qas still a punch to the gut. I just want poor Axel to be free of whatever is holding him, I'm such a sucker for the broken ones.

Itโ€™s fitting that this is the book I meet my reading goal with. This series has me in a CHOKEHOLD.

I love the magic academy setting, the strong FMC, the unique relationships, the ongoing politics and tribulations, the banter and dialogue- I could go on. But yallllll THE ENDING HAS ME SCREAMING

This is top 5 why choose series for me (those are my fav so I read them a lot ๐Ÿ™‚โ€โ†•๏ธ๐Ÿคช)

Annnnd I finished the currently available series. So off to another book or series, I go.

POV: First person
POV Character(s): Lyra, one from Khade, and one from Rhett
Verb Tense: Past
Triggers: Some violence, fires, burns
Spice: More s*x scenes in this book, and it feels smuttier in general than the first two
Content/Trope Notes: reverse harem, fated mates, multiple pairings

I'm not honestly sure I'd buy the fourth book. I think that one is supposed to close out the series, but at this point, I don't know that I care. I mean, it took three books to get any real plot, and I'm just not invested enough in the characters to be that upset if I never get closure and resolution on this series.

Lyra comes across as fan fiction self-insert Mary Sue again with her strangely mature notions about interacting with others. Even with all the training in the world to become a queen, I feel like a 20-year-old is going to have outbursts and times she doesn't respond in a politically correct manner, but Lyra never really does that? The only time she gets whiny or looks more like a real person is with her mates, and even then, it's primarily during the s*x scenes, which is just...okay, I suppose.

As for her mates, we've met all four now, and we know the fourth book will resolve the whole issue she's had with Axel from book one to allow her to forgive him and him to join their merry band of men in this reverse harem. I'm not a fan of Khade, but I've never been a fan of the type of character who throat-grabs his woman and acts in that kind of creepily possessive way. I also don't like how he's so much older than her and shows it over and over again and she goes into the submissive role from the moment they meet. It's just grating on my nerves.

There's so much of the "oh, look at Lyra's stunningly gorgeous, overly-muscled, fiercely alpha male mates" in this. I mean, we get it. She's gonna be queen, so she must have Super Ultra Dudes as her mates. But it feels too forced.

I guess it feels too much like a fever dream of a fanfic wherein the self-insert character gets their wish fulfillment of being with every Male Lead they've ever wanted and they all get along happily ever after, the end.

I might not be the right person for the fated mates trope, either. It feels like such a whirlwind. Lyra sees a mate, the mate declares himself, Lyra immediately accepts him, and ta-da, they're immediately in lust. (Incidentally, have any of her mates actually said they love her? I didn't check, but it feels like there's so much s*xy time and so little actual emotion behind it.) Maybe other books with this trope don't feel so much like a "welp, here's my mate, I guess I'll love him forever now!" story? I have no idea. It's disconcerting and feels so weird cause I could never see that happening in any version of life, and even in fantasy, it drives me a little batty. No choice? You just immediately fall in lust? Yeah, okay.

I'm impressed we found the identity of mate 3 by 80% through the book this time instead of at the last two pages. But that aside, it's the same story again, and none of the "plot"--such as it is--has me on the edge of my seat or even that invested in this weird fae world the author's created. The politics are not fleshed out, the "bad guys" are nebulous at best (even the one who's actually named and seems to be the leader), and the reveal for where book four is heading is just lackluster at best.

Anyway, it was a decent enough ride, but it's time to get off now and move onto something else, maybe with a bit more plot.

Thank you @ari for another absolutely amazing book that has left me wrecked in the best possible way and daydreaming of what may happen next! ๐Ÿคฃ

Every time a new book comes out I have to say it but the Knights Dream series really has a little bit of everything. She packs so much into a small novel and they ALWAYS end on a cliffhanger that leaves you wanting more. (Seriously, itโ€™s a problem Iโ€™m turning into a little Knights Dream addict. ๐Ÿคฃ) The story also flows and progresses beautifully from one book to the next giving us more story, more characters, and more world building. ๐Ÿ’™

I like to consider myself a pretty good guesser when it comes to romance books so while I thought I knew who Lyraโ€™s cliffhanger mate from Winter Knights Dream was going to beโ€ฆI absolutely LOVED being right and they are WAY better than I couldโ€™ve imagined. ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ’™ Iโ€™m completely obsessed with the Winter Knight and as well as another surprise new character. ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ๐Ÿคฏ (Iโ€™m really trying to keep this spoiler free here while itching to tell you everything. ๐Ÿคฃ) Lyra continues to be the perfect FMC sheโ€™s still got her lovable kind nature but sheโ€™s also starting to grow into her powers and herself. ๐Ÿ˜ Vale is still a swoon worthy dragon and his silly commentary always hits and makes me laugh. Overall this book was even better than expected and I cannot wait to get my hands on the next one! ๐Ÿ’™

I got the first book during the one of the Stuff Your Kindle Days and the cover looked interested and I struggled with the first book as it was the first time I read a bully romance and the first book was a major information dump, the second book was better, but this one just felt like an information dump again and I hated the Autumn mate.

This book is based on Lyra and her surprising reveal to her Winter Mate leaves her feeling ambivalent. But his unwavering support and dominant reassurance bring out a new confidence within her. With the realm teetering on the brink of chaos, unexpected allies offer hope in the conflict against the rebellious New Night Coalition and its leaders. As she navigates her growing bonds, Lyraโ€™s powers increase, and she discovers her greatest strength may be in forgiveness and trusting the one who broke her heart.

Vale saved this book from being two stars. I still adore him, and he is so sweet and hot, and I still want him. I liked Lyra and I like how she is getting more confident and braver within herself. I liked the introduction of Rhett and hopefully he can control Khade, but because this was mainly about Khade being introduced to the dynamic, I wanted to smack him. I liked the training aspect, and it feels like it is building up to a big fight or war.

I missed her family and friends' dynamic within this book; I loved the protectiveness of family and friends and her brothers throughout the first two books and then someone decides to be protective and take her away from all social life. There was a lot more information dump within this book again. Everyone is now a shifter and the whole dynamic with her mates after change once she finds all of them which she has done now besides Axel who is still being a tool but now a decent tool. I was bored of the fae politics and there is no actual villain as all the mates are still arguing constantly. Then the same thing happens, a new mate gets introduced, there is a dynamic change and then they all hate Axel and want to kill him whilst Axel is trying to creep back into Lyraโ€™s life. I hated Khade, I think he was supposed to come over as like a hot uncle or hotter, older authority. But he just came across as an older, possessive dickhead who was then disregarding Lyraโ€™s mates, friends and family just because he had experience. Like dude, donโ€™t be a tool. Another issue I had personally is that I read a lot of series, so it takes me a while to get back to a series and like with this one, the fourth books got no date yet so Iโ€™m gonna have to wait. I can put money on it, I will forget what happens in this book, I forgot what happened in the last book when I started this book. I feel like there needs to be a like recap page just to refresh the storyline.

The cliffhanger wasnโ€™t too crazy, Axel deserves to be happy, and he rejected Lyla. Just leave him and move on and whoever is the big scary villain needs to make their presence known because I'm getting bored.

I binged all three of these books in a single day and I regret nothing. This series had me completely hooked from page one, and I couldnโ€™t stop reading. The magical academy setting, the shifters, the fated mates, the steamy โ€œwhy chooseโ€ romance, it checks all the best romantasy boxes.

Each book built beautifully on the last, with plot twists, danger, sizzling tension, and emotional depth that kept me turning pages nonstop. The spice? Chefโ€™s kiss. The found family vibes and powerful bonds between characters made it even better.

If youโ€™re a fan of reverse harem, fated mates, magical intrigue, and sexy supernatural men, you need this series in your life. Iโ€™m already counting down the days for Book 4, I need to know what happens next!

Iโ€™ve been eagerly waiting for this third instalment in Lyraโ€™s story for ages but it was definitely worth the wait.
This is the most action packed book and is super spicy as Lyra gets to know her mates and they solidify their group bonds. The scenes beLyra and her mates are red hot, definitely jealous of her. They all grow their gifts and gain new abilities as their bonds strengthen.
I guessed who her Winter mate was and heโ€™s a formidable addition to her harem and battle with the NNC.
Axel seems to be regretful in 5his book, we still donโ€™t gain any new information on why he rejected Lyra and what was behind this.
They are causing more unrest here and we find out whoโ€™s behind them here. This book expands the politics of the court and we learn about the growing threat to Lyra and her knights.
That ending tho, Iโ€™m desperate to find out what happens next, so excited for the final book .

Book Three of the Knights Dream series is finally here and I was swept along for the ride!

Book Two ended on a cliffhanger of massive proportions and I loved that this one picked up right where it left off. Mate Number 3 is revealed and he is โ€ฆ. Oh boy. Just read it and find out. ๐Ÿฅต๐Ÿฅต

I love that Lyra has challenges with this new mate. He pushes her boundaries and unleashes a part of her that she hasnโ€™t seen before. Her confidence with herself grows as she becomes more stable in her ever evolving relationship dynamics. It was nice having a Dom personality enter the group but I loved watching him get push back as well, having his possessive tendencies realize not everything is in his control.

The majority of this book takes place off campus due to plot circumstances and as a byproduct some of the beloved side characters take a major backseat. This book focuses on Lyra and 2 of her bonded mates, with small glimpses outside of the trio as the plot develops. I did miss seeing Lyraโ€™s friends and I hope that book four brings them back into the story as they added diversity and lightness that was somewhat missing.

I enjoyed the way that Axel got character development even though he is outside of the mate bond. I always knew something more was going on and having it be confirmed was so gratifying.

We also get a bit of a surprise in this book when it comes to the mate bond. It did result in the pacing of the story feeling a bit more fast paced than the previous books, and I hope that next books balances it more out. However, I am NOT complaining. Except that I am because the author knows that she did us dirty. There may have been a voice memo DM sent to her ranting (in a loving way) about what she did.

Overall, such a great continuation of the series and the CLIFFHANGER was jaw dropping. I canโ€™t wait for the fourth and final book of this series!!

Too Short + a cliffie

I read all three books so fast that I didnโ€™t even review the first two. I was shocked with how much I liked these. The storyline, the tension, anger and intrigue.

The spice! Maโ€™am! ๐Ÿ˜ณ
Youโ€™re just reading a regular college book then bam! People are being manhandled ๐Ÿคค and having multiple Oโ€™s. I love it, matter of fact gimmie more. Give me more of them losing control because HELLO sheโ€™s their mate and while she canโ€™t keep it together they have crazy control? No, I need them all to flippin lose it, be feral if you will ๐Ÿ˜

These books are too short- I am not a super fast reader so no I am not the problem here.
I keep getting weird vibes from one of the professors, is it just me? I guess weโ€™ll see.
I understand the pain and tortรบre but my heart seriously hurts for one of these men

Excited for book 4

Picking up right where we left off.
Lyra has found her winter mate, and now his goal to keep her safe with all the attempts on her life comes uo. He has to stay hidden, but Khade is yummy. He is a dom for sure and very protective. Loved watching him start the relationship with Lyra and with Vale. Vale has started training as well. Axel is starting to show more and more how he is still tethered to Lyra, and she sees it too. Ahw meets another one of her mates as well but can not reveal herself yet until he is deemed worried. The ending, though man, come on Ariadne, you're killing me with these cliff hangers. But once I she world builds in such a short time blows my mind. I hope we see more when Lyra is learning. I wanted more of thar.

These books always feel shorter and shorter to me but in reality, I am just so engrossed in the story that I zoom through them. Lyra and her mates will always have my heart, yes even the one that made the stupidest of all choices. Axel and I have a love hate relationship and I feel that Lyra's other mates will agree that that is a valid option. My heart swells with every book when a new mate is introduced and this book we have Khade and Rhett. We have more time to get to know Khade (boy is he amazing) but I am sure I will be just as in love with Rhett the next book. Fantasy, why-choose, and secret societies, royals, fae courts...this book has it all including a Twisty love story.

I really tried to refrain myself from reading this book in 1 day so I ended up reading it in 4. WOW was this book intense and had me giggling and fanning myself like a teenager. This series overall is just PERFECT!

I loved bringing in an older mate and exploring the insecurities one may have with being someone who is more โ€œexperienced.โ€ I also love how each mate are significantly different but have little qualities that you understand throughout the book why they are mated to Lyra. Goddess bless Khade! I fell in love with him and am excited to learn about Mr. Irondale. Each mate balances each other out which makes it a really good read so youโ€™re not overwhelmed/bored of too much of one personality type.

I am rooting for Axel! I cannot wait for the last book to see his story unfold and what transpires between him and Lyra. I am wishing that their bond doesnโ€™t sever and they end up do accepting the mating bond.

I give it a 4/5 solely for the cliffhanger. I NEED MORE!

4.5 stars for this quick paced why choose fantasy read.
I canโ€™t even tell you how much I have loved the first 2 books. This new book was just another amazing addition to this series.

Lyra was put through so much in the first book that I wanted to throw my kindle, but book 2 and 3 are healing my heart. She is finally collected 2 knights heading into his one and I am so in love with them. The spice is spicing. Secrets are revealed, BUT that ending hurt. But I cannot wait for the next installment of this series.

I'm just so in love with this series!!! I really hope more people try it out. I'm now just incredibly sad I need to wait for the next installment, especially after that ending. The humour was still ever present, the spice was great as usual not overtly done. We got more world building in this one and more information in general which was wonderful. And the subplot is really coming together to make it even more intriguing. As we get more of the men it just gets better as well. Love this series and I hope more people give it a fair shake.

Intrigued

I don't know how I feel about Rhett having read through all three books now I can give it more thought.

I enjoyed the first three books, and this one much like the other two I feel moves to fast. It doesn't give enough for the potential threats to be shocking or sink in, nor has it really give you time to really get a feel for the Knights. I want deeper relationships, right now its just bouncing around. I enjoyed this series and I'm really curious about Axel and his situation it's very unclear honestly.

Definitely a guilty pleasure series! I flew through the other books in this series and eagerly awaited this one. I love all the different relationships and the building of a forever together.

I rated this four stars because there were two instances where I was thrown from the story trying to find out what I missed when a character entered, and it wasn't clear they were in the scene.

Otherwise, this was throughly addictive and if RH is your jam, dive into this one! You're going to love it, too!

The beginning of this book didn't absolutely snatch my attention like the two before it, but by the halfway point I was absolutely obsessed and couldn't put it down. I absolutely love Khade and I'm loving that we got to know Rhett before the end of the book, unlike the other two where the book ended as soon as they were revealed. The cliffhanger at the end though?? I need to know what happens next! ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Omg.

I pre-ordered this book as soon as i could. I thought about waiting to read autumn knights dream until the series was completed. The book sat in my library and kept calling my name.A few days later and the temptation was too much...Now I anxiously wait for the next one. (That cliffhanger...Nnnnooooo....). I love this series and I can't wait until the next book comes out. I know I will do multiple re-reads just to help me survive the wait. Lol

I love this series! It has a hold on me that I can't describe. Fated mates, rejected mate, surprise reveals, alphas, reverse harem, Fae, Elemental Magic, shifters, and so much more!

I'm a plot girl. I need it, want it, crave it. This series is full of plot, and it centers around Lyra and her mates. The books just get better. The twists get twistier, the spice gets spicier, and the romance gets sweeter! Cliffhanger warning, though!

3.8. This book was a little slow especially with the first half but the second half with the introductory of *that* character was very fun. I would like to see more relationship building between the mates considering Lyra mentions a few times that she worries her mates might not get along. The ending was also very interesting and I canโ€™t wait to see what comes next. Overall, very solid read though perhaps not the best out of the three

Iโ€™m so sad and foolish for not knowing this isnโ€™t a complete book series and thatโ€™s on me. I have been in a reading slump for a few months not my longest but still sucks. This book series was a star in the darkest of nights, a watering hole in a desert. She here for a good time not a long time. She pulled back into read and entrain so such so that I read all three books in less than 48 hours. I devoured them. The story it self wasnโ€™t ground breaking, but so good! ๐Ÿ˜Š
