This book pulled me in right from the beginning with its mix of romance, mystery, and holiday cheer! It’s not often you get a festive read that delivers both a cozy love story and a bit of thrilling suspense, but Melissa Dymond absolutely nailed it here!

I loved that we got to experience two love stories here. Watching Gwen and Caleb, who are already in love, face the chaos of wedding planning in a blizzard (plus a stalker!) was such a fun ride. Then there’s Jenny, Gwen’s best friend, who is reunited with her old nemesis, Dean, who also happens to be Caleb’s bodyguard. Their enemies-to-lovers chemistry was amazing, and their banter made the pages fly by.

The dual POV between Gwen and Jenny worked perfectly for this story. I loved getting both women’s perspectives as they handled love, careers, and a crazy wedding week. Jenny and Dean teaming up to track down the stalker was the cherry on top, adding a thrilling twist that kept me guessing until the end.

If you’re in the mood for a holiday romance that’s steamy, suspenseful, and tons of fun, Holiday Wedding is perfect. It’s got the right balance of heat, heart, and mystery—ideal for curling up with by the fire!

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the eARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

Loved this book so much. My first by Melissa but not the last definitely. I love rom-coms so much and this is one of my favs now too. I loved how she wrote dual POVs of FMCS and their stories are so beautiful to read. All the tropes mentioned are perfectly executed. The chemistry, banters, sweet moments and a hint of suspense in romance were fun to read. I loved all the characters, Jenny, Dean, Gwen, and Caleb all are close to my heart now! 💕
Overall a cosy and heartwarming read and I highly recommend it.

I did not read Holiday Star (book 1) and it did not impact me in being able to read/enjoy this book at all. I do, however, have a renewed sense of urgency with going back and reading book 1 to fully appreciate all the characters.

That being said, Gwen and Caleb are on the road to having the wedding of their dreams after a very rocky start in book 1. Both are dealing with their own things that they keep from the other while also navigating things together. One thing after another just pops up to derail this wedding, but in the end, not even a blizzard can stop their love. The way they learned to let the other in and ask for/accept help from not just each other, but those around them is a lesson I can probably learn a little more.

This book doesn't just give us the continuing love story of Gwen and Caleb, but we get a BONUS love story between Jenny and Dean. Gah I loved these two so much! My heart ached for them both in different ways. Jenny for never feeling good enough and feeling like she's always stepping in it. Dean for his trauma and survivor's guilt/lack of self-worth. I'm not saying someone should find their sense of self or measure their worth based on someone else, but the way these two helped teach the other that they are good enough, they are perfect, and they are just...enough was so touching. Everyone needs someone in their life (not necessarily a romantic partner) to help remind them of how amazing we really are. The grumpy/sunshine, frienemies to lovers vibes that these two have...I'm a little obsessed with them both.

We also get a mini-bonus love story with Alvina and Wayne! How adorable are the two of them? I can't wait to go back to Holiday Star to get some more background on the two of them. They seem like a fun arc.

The story ends with a wonderful set up for Teddy and Helen (hopefully there's another one with them?)

I loved the dual POV with both women and the suspense (stalker!) was perfect. Since there was no 3rd act break up (seems like the one in the first book was dramatic enough and this one didn't really need it, but it needed some kind of drama) it fit in nicely. I thought I figured out the stalked right away, but I was wrong.

Lastly, THE ILLUSTRATIONS! I'm such a sucker for illustrations and the ones in this book are sooooooooooooo perfect!

• Dual POV
• Suspenseful Romantic Comedy
• Spicy & Sweet Version
• Two Different Couples
• Forced Proximity
• Mental Health Representation
• Holiday Vibes

Sequels of books are usually NOT AS GOOD as the any previous books, BUT I LOVED“Holiday Wedding” EVEN MORE than I loved “Holiday star” which I greatly enjoyed! It was fun being able to see all the wedding plans fall in place WHILE having another couple’s romance occurring to enjoy! It felt like one of those TLC wedding planning reality shows but the spice and drama of a scripted show! Speaking of spice, this book is available in a “sweet” and a “spicy” version, but I read the “spicy” version. I read an advanced readers copy, but my review is unbiased.

This was such a cute holiday read! I love Melissa Dymond’s writing!

I was impressed with her ability to balance emotion with lightheartedness, romance with suspense, sweetness with steaminess, and she handles mental health topics so well (this is high praise coming from someone who is a therapist by profession lol). I appreciate how her characters are complex and flawed which makes them relatable. They feel like they could be real people. I find her writing style to be really enjoyable and engaging. I have a hard time putting her books down!

As much as I love Gwen and Caleb, I’m kind of obsessed with Dean and Jenny! The banter, the tension, the grumpy x sunshine vibes? Loved them! 😍 I loved the dual POV format. It was kind of an interesting twist on this format because you get Gwen and Jenny’s POVs and get to follow two love stories (as opposed to having a MMC & FMC format for dual POV). I thought it was a great storytelling choice for this book!

I think readers who are familiar with these characters from Holiday Star will be thrilled with this worthy sequel. That said, I also think new readers will also be able to enjoy this book as a standalone as the author does a fantastic job recapping events and re-introducing characters in a way that would be easy to follow for people unfamiliar with the first book. With it being a holiday book, I felt like she incorporated the holiday elements tastefully…it wasn’t super in your face or cheesy, it was just the right amount in my opinion. This would be a great holiday read to pick up!

Thank you to Dr. Melissa Dymond, Victory Editing, and Netgalley for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review! (And to Melissa for the opportunity to Beta read it before that!)

Welp, I added another book boyfriend by Melissa to my list! Thank you for bringing Dean Maddox into my life.

When I tell you this story was absolutely amazing, I mean it is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING.

It had everything you need in a suspenseful romantic comedy and both couples POVs are the perfect blend of Grumpy X Sunshine.

I was so happy to be back with my babes: Gwen & Caleb, and I was quick to jump on board with Jenny & Dean.

There is so much that happens in this book and you are in luck ... it comes it both Spicy & Sweet versions, so you get to pick! 😍

First off, thank you to The Nerd Fam and Dr. Melissa Dymond for the e-ARC! All opinions below are my own ✨

This was such a cute holiday romance! I loved the dual POV showing two adjacent relationships in very different stages. The tension felt so believable, and I appreciated that it didn’t rely on the miscommunication trope to drive the plot. While Gwen and Caleb’s upcoming wedding was the main storyline, Dean and Jenny’s romance stole the show for me. Their grumpy-sunshine dynamic, great banter, and real chemistry made them the standout couple.

There’s also a mystery/suspense element with a stalker on the loose, which added a serious undertone to balance the romance. Even though this is book 2 in the series, it works well as a standalone, though I did feel that some storylines would have resonated more if I’d read the first book, which I plan to do next! Overall, I’d definitely recommend this if you’re in the mood for a lightly spicy (or sweet, your choice!) holiday romance that avoids the typical tropes and keeps you hooked with just the right amount of tension.

✨ Grumpy-Sunshine
✨ Forced Proximity
✨ Only One Bed
✨ Snowed In

"No one's life is perfect. No one is happy all the timr. It's okay to be human."

In this sequel, the story of Gwen and Caleb continues as they prepare for their wedding scheduled during the holiday season. As the date came closer, they encountered unexpected obstacles, including the snowstorm (which resulted in Gwen's delayed flight back to New York) and Caleb's stalker. Those elements add drama and suspense to their wedding preparation. And what I liked about this book was that aside from the main character's love story, we also got to follow Jenny's and Dean's and their histories as former adversaries transform into the classic enemies to lovers romance. That also adds emotional depth and humor to the story, making it engaging because of their natural chemistry. I loved the banter and tension between them.

Dr. Melissa Dymond's writing style for the dual POVs works perfectly and commendable because readers were able to get both Jenny's and Gwen's perspective on how they handle conflicts in love, career, and life as a whole.

While this is the sequel to Holiday Star, it can be read as a standalone because Dr. Dymond did a fantastic job in reiterating events and characters, which makes the current events in this book easy to follow. With that being said, if you're into the grumpy x sunshine and enemies to lovers trope or you're looking for a perfect holiday romance read with a little bit of suspense, Holiday Wedding is perfect for you!

Congratulations and happy pub day @melissadymondauthor 🎉💖✨️ Thank you so much, @netgalley and @victoryeditingngcfor the ARC. I received an ARC of this book for free, and I'm leaving this review voluntarily.

Festive romance that follows two love stories.

📚 Dr x celebrity
📚 journalist x bodyguard
📚 forced proximity
📚 enemies to lovers
📚 suspense
📚 dual POV

“I may be a failure in my career and love life, but I won’t fail Gwen. I’ll find her stalker and save her wedding”

🌶️🌶️

|Thoughts|
This holiday romcom follows two love stories, where we get the PoV of each of the FMC, best friends Gwen and Jenny.

I hadn’t read book 1 in the Holiday Romance series, which establishes the romance between Dr Gwen & celebrity Caleb. However, I was still able to enjoy this story as a stand alone and do plan to go back and read Holiday Star.

“There’s no world where we aren’t end game”

Gwen & Caleb:
We jump straight into their romance (literally) and just really wanted these two to have a happy ending. Really felt their love even though I hadn’t read book 1. Found some of Gwen’s issues a little childish (poor you, behind upgraded to first class. Life is just so tough some times).

“I’ll be there. I’d wait for you for a million years and then a million more.”

Jenny & Dean:
Can’t go past a good bodyguard romance and this also throws in some forced proximity/ one bed trope that is just tops tier.
Found myself more interested in this storyline as it had the added benefit of some suspense.

Loved the artwork that is included throughout the story.

Overall, was a fun read and had some nice nods to Christmas.

aahhh i loved that book!!!!
this book is the perfect one for a cute holiday romance ;) i usually like to read some to make me i the christmas mood, but this one is by far my favourite so far!! the writing of this book is so good that it makes it so easy to read, the banter of the characters, but also the way they were human made me fall in love with them :)

the choice of writing of book is so different from what i'm used to read, we have 2 different pov, but not the 2 main characters, but 2 of the female characters, and so we get to discover 2 love stories at the same time. This was such a great idea, i really loved it!! it changes from the other pov we're used to read :)

as for the characters, their banter was so well represented, the pace of the book was the right one to me, and i LOVED Jenny. Her story was my favourite of the two :)

and even if i didn't read her previous book, it is fine to read it as a standalone! i didn't fell lost in the slightest!! honestly such a good read!!

thank you to the Publisher and Netgalley for providing me the arc copy of this book in exchange of an honest review.

I received an advanced reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley.

I did not like the way the book started. It even got me scared thinking "what did I get myself into?". But I have to say, my first impression was wrong.

This was such a fun read. I enjoyed reading all the characters' stories and the book is really cute! It's a great read for the holidays, full of romance as well as mystery and suspense. It's fast paced and easy to read.

There are bonus chapters which were really nice. I think they gave the book a nice touch, it kind of made it more interactive (you could request them by subscribing to the author's newsletter).

Although I read the spicy version, the author has another version which involves only kissing and such, which I think is really nice and thoughtful.

Thank you Netgalley for an ARC of this book!
I really enjoyed the love stories within this book. We continue following Gwen and Caleb as they get ready for their wedding and it seems like everything is going wrong. We also follow Dean and Jenny as Jenny comes to realize her deep feelings for Dean, feelings he’s had all along. The tropes in this book include: one bed, forced proximity, grumpy x sunshine, snowed in, he falls first and so many more! We also get a mystery aspect as they try and uncover who Caleb’s mystery stalker is! This is the perfect read with the holiday season coming up, and I highly recommend it!

Did anyone bring tissues??

"Holiday Wedding" by Dr. Melissa Dymond is a delightful blend of romance, family, and heartfelt moments, perfect for anyone looking for a heartwarming story that captures the magic of the holiday season. Dr. Dymond masterfully weaves together the themes of love and second chances, set in winter wonder NYC.

We follow Jenny and Gwen, two friends, as they learn to navigate changes in both of their lives. While this book is romance, it is also about the bonds that hold us together, the laughter that brightens even the coldest days, and the unexpected twists that lead us to where we’re meant to be. Jenny and Gwen's friendship is filled with touching moments that will make readers smile, laugh, and even tear up as they witness their shared journey.

Overall, "Holiday Wedding" is a heartwarming read that will leave you with a smile and a renewed belief in love and the magic of the holidays. It’s the perfect book to curl up with during the festive season, and it reminds us that sometimes, the greatest gifts are the ones that come from the heart.

Highly recommended for fans of contemporary romance and holiday-themed stories!

Thank you, Dr. Melissa Dymond, for allowing me the chance to read the ARC and fall in love with these characters!

I absolutely loved this book! It was so easy to follow, and I had no idea it was even part of a series until afterward—it works perfectly as a standalone! The Christmas theme added such a cozy, heartwarming touch, and I’m a sucker for holiday romances, so this was right up my alley. I also really enjoyed the dual POV. It made me feel so connected to both main characters, getting to see their thoughts and feelings as the story unfolded. If you're into festive romance stories with relatable characters, this one is a must-read!

Look no further for the perfect suspenseful holiday read fellow book babes, Melissa has done it once again! I had the pleasure of meeting Melissa when I joined her street team for Paging Dr. Hart and I'm so grateful that I stayed on for Holiday Wedding. I'm a forever member of her street teams, she can never get rid of me now 😂🤍 Not only is she an amazing person, her books are the best and always deliver on beautifully written characters, spice, humor, suspense, playful banter, and sweetness! And if spice isn't your thing? No worries, all of Melissa's books come in both sweet AND spicy versions so everyone can read and enjoy!

Caleb and Gwen were so lovable and even though I didn't read Holiday Star (the first book), I still felt so connected to them both. Caleb is a huge celebrity from New York who has thousands of adoring fans. He's a musician, actor, and model who has been in the spotlight practically his entire life, so he's no stranger to fame and everything it brings. Gwen on the other hand has not been acquainted with the celebrity life. She's a doctor from California who cares deeply about her career and helping those in need. Even though both Caleb and Gwen come from completely different lives and face immense challenges and obstacles (cue the crazy stalkers, rude "fans", crazy weather, and wedding preparations), their love for each other comes first always.

And Jenny and Dean...JENNY AND DEAN! These two had my heart. Watching the candy loving sunshine journalist that is Jenny melt the icy exterior of broody grumpy bodyguard Dean was simply ✨everything✨. Plus the tension and spice between these two?? Yes please 😍 I adored getting to know
both of them individually and eventually as a couple.

The holiday magic, suspense, sweetness, and spiciness is fully delivering here 🎄🤍

huge thank you to NetGalley for the ARC 💫

first of all, it's my first time seeing an author make two versions of a book: spicy & non‐spicy. and i absolutely love this idea, i think it's unique and amazing 👏👏👏 this just proves that the author cares about her readers and she wants them to feel comfortable while reading her book 😍

second of all, the romcom was romcoming 💘💘💘 the romance 🤌 the comedy 🤌 THE BANTER 🤌 THE CHARACTERS 🤌 god, i loved EVERY.SINGLE.ONE.OF.THEM 😍😍😍

and lastly, i absolutely adored the writing style, it kept me interested, and i couldn't put the book down. honestly, i feel like i finished reading it in two days 🙈 the author did an amazing job with this novel 🫶🫶🫶 and i'll definitely be coming back for more of her books 🥰

Melissa Dymond does it again!! Holiday Wedding was amazing! Must read for Christmas! Each one of Melissa's books are better than the last. She is an artist with her words.

I loved how Holiday Wedding is Dual POV this time with Gwen and Jenny. It's two weeks from the big day and Jenny stays in New York to finish helping with the wedding planning while Gwen goes to California for her medical conference.

Jenny and Dean end up having to work closely together. Tension between them starts building and Jenny is confused about how Dean actually feels about her. When Caleb's stalker seems to escalate, they both work together to catch the stalker in order to keep the wedding from chaos.

Gwen leaves for her conference and struggles to leave when she has her wedding to look forward to. Gwen and Caleb are learning what their life together in the spotlight will be like. When the weather gets in the way, will Gwen be able to make it to her wedding in time?

The suspense in Holiday Wedding was so good! I loved how it had me keep guessing who the stalker was and I was shocked by ending because of how this story was written. Dean's story is so sad and heartbreaking, but Jenny is so supportive when she learns about his path and she is the perfect person to help him.

This book was not for me. I found it very predictable, and the characters so unrealistic.

I guessed all the major plot points long before they actually happened.

I found the things the main character doctor didn’t know about basic biology laughable.

And the a-list celebrity, broadway actor, and restauranteur? While I like my book boyfriends to be exceptional he came off as completely unreal in not the best way.

So a few things I want to share that I didn't realize before reading this book, First this is a Book #2 in a series (it can be read as a stand-alone but I feel I would have gotten more out of it if I read Book #1 first and wish that I did) and Second there are two versions of this book a sweet one and then a spicy one. I got the spicy one and boy does it start off spicy right on page 1.
So this book is about the wedding of the main characters ( Gwen and Caleb, the couple from book 1 ) but there were a few other relationships (4, one is a mini-bonus love story with Alvina and Wayne and the other one is at the end of the book. not gonna give that one away ) involved and it felt like 2 books into 1. The 2nd main characters are Jenny and Dean. So much was happening and it was fantastic.
I like the story of Gwen and Caleb, BUT the real relationship that I loved was between Jenny and Dean.
This book is a Christmas-themed event and definitely a page-turner. There is love/romance, drama, mystery and some serious topics discussed as well.
I loved this book so much, and it was hard not to finish it all in one sitting but had to be an adult lol
There is sooo much to say about this book but cant because it will give away too much. You just have to go read it.

We do have a Grump and a Sunshine romance
Forced proximity
Holiday vibes

I can't wait to go back to read Book #1 (Holiday Star) to get some more background on the two of them and see all that I missed.
And I can't wait for the 3rd Book in this series comes out!!!!
Patiently waiting...... I have just turned into a fan of this author's work. :)

#Review: *Holiday Wedding* - Melissa Dymond - ARC [18+]
4.5/5✨
2.5/5🌶️

When I saw that an ARC for Melissa's new book is available on Netgalley, I went so fast to request it🤭. Melissa was even faster to approve me for this one and I cannot thank her enough for this opportunity🤗.

This book had a unique way in the way the chapters were divided. It was dual pov, but it was from the perspectives of the female main characters, Gwen and Jenn. This way, we could follow throughout the book their separate love stories, which I found super ingenious and different from anything I've read so far.

Gwen is a doctor and she will get married to a famous actor, Caleb, on Christmas Eve day. The story starts a couple of months before the event and follows the preparations for the wedding and some other life changing moments.

Besides Caleb stands Dean, who protects him 24/7, because there are some crazy fans stalking him. This will be a bigger problem than they've expected and it will complicate things a lot. Because Dean and Jenn keep spending time together, they form a sweet relationship, where Dean is the one with his walls raised really high. But who can resist the good vibes and the sunshine personality of Jenn? Definitely not Dean🤭.

I liked that this story touched multiple emotions, from joy, to fear, to not loving it's own personna (in Jenn's case), the uncertainty about future (because of Nate's famous status). Melissa's books are fun to read, but they always have that touch of reality check.

I got to read the spicy/open door romance as a gifted copy from Melissa and Nerdfam and I am so grateful for the opportunity!!!

This was my first holiday season romance of this year and it did not disappoint!

Hallmark-esce, mystery romance with a good dose of spice, enemies to lovers

spice: 3/5

This story follows four main characters:

Gwen - ER doctor currently engaged to Caleb (broadway/movie star) to be married on Dec 24th.

Jenny - Gwen's BFF/entertainment reporter for LA times; helping Gwen and her fam with wedding planning while Gwen attends a medical conference in LA.

The wedding is happening in New York and they are trying to keep it on the DL so all those megafans can give Gwen and Caleb a little piece.

However, Gwen is still learning to get used to life as the 'wife of a big star' and keep her own identity as a successful doctor. can she maintain her individuality and not become a 'trophy wife' to Caleb?

Dean - Caleb's bodyguard who also has tension with Jenny (Gwen'sBFF for accidentally almost ruining Caleb's and Gwen's relationship two years before

Dean and Jenny team up to figure out who is stalking Caleb before Gwen and Caleb's wedding on christmas eve.

however it seems anything and everything that can go wrong has gone wrong in the days leading up to their big day.

Loved the character development for all these main characters. the perfect book for this holiday season!

I read this immediately after finishing Holiday Star and it was a whole vibe. From start to finish I genuinely enjoyed every page of this sequel. The romance between both couples was so sweet and swoon worthy. The element of suspense had me hooked and constantly trying to figure it all out. The Caleb + Gwen moments were so special. They truly got their happily ever after and I was giddy over it. Also, that bonus epilogue?! You have my attention! 👀 Do yourself a favor and check out this cutie holiday romance!

✨ARC Review✨
✨4.5/5 ✨

This was such a cute little holiday read! This book is a dual storyline that follows The Main Character Gwen and her relationship with her fiancé Caleb! The story also follows Gwen’s best friend Jenny and her relationship that grows with Dean, Caleb’s Bodyguard! Both storylines have ups and downs that keep you entertained throughout. Personally I enjoyed Dean and Jenny's story more because they were so cute and showed great mental health representation from both characters.

This book is perfect with the holiday season coming up and I definitely recommend it! Thank you Nerd Fam and Dr Melissa Dymond for this arc opportunity!

I love Melissa books, she didn’t disappoint at all with this book. It started off with spice and ended with spice. Definitely has me wanting to know more. I was more fascinated by Jenny and Dean story more than the main character Jenny. (Sorry but not sorry).. overall it was a great holiday vibe book. Love the Christmas theme. There was a turn in the book that I didn’t see coming at all. Love the mystery and thrill from the intensity. We all want a happy ending but of course nothing is that easy.

Before you start this, you should read the 1st book of this series first. This is a standalone but reading the previous book first will make your reading experience better.

Overall this was a nice holiday read with a touch of mystery and spice. The main characters and their friends were likable. I enjoyed it and this was quite an easy read for me and I just binge-read it.

This is an ARC read which is exchanged with an honest review.

This was such a silly (in a good way) holiday rom-com. I read the spicy version and it hit just right. Good suspense albeit a bit much at times but I had fun with it. Loved the characters. I want to see more of Dean, Jenny, Helen, and Teddy! I do need to add the first book to my TBR.

I received an arc from Netgalley and the publisher.

Another spicy, but still very sweet, holiday story with a double dose of relationships. First, Gwen and Caleb are dealing with more than the wedding jitters with a potentially dangerous stalker trying to disrupt their plans. Secondly, Gwen's best friend meets her match with a cute enemies to lovers story. Perfect for reading this time of year.

Melissa Dymond knows the way to tug at my heartstrings. Having different perspectives between the characters was satisfying. I'm so happy for Jenny too; Dean is such a babe.
I'm happy I was a winner of this in a Goodreads giveaway!
