Teen sisters Lola and Jules McCormick have faced many dangers on the road with their shadow warrior family. Everything from vampire cults to giant cockroaches, but nothing prepared them for their newest challenge – high school.

After their warrior mother has a midlife crisis, ditches their dad, and moves to the suburbs, the girls are forced into school for the first time. A private high school, Amber Hall is filled with the kinds of creatures the sisters normally hunt. Temperamental Lola is challenged to give up her “hit people and ask questions later” mentality as she also deals with missing her hot shadow warrior boyfriend. Painfully shy Jules just wants to disappear into the crowd, but instead gains the notice of a sexy shifter.

Even if the sisters can embrace this new life, an old enemy looks to turn their suburb into a bloodbath.

Note: I publish New Adult romance novels as Bijou Hunter and Christian romantic fantasy as Dakota Shepherd.

I've heard these profiles can be used to mock writers on certain craptactular sites. Better put my best face forward then.

I'm a saint. No really.

I read to the blind, feed the hungry, buy wigs for bald people – you know, real heartwarming shit. I never drink, drive too fast, or fart. I really am a saint.

Try not to be jealous. For some people, like me, sainthood simply comes naturally. It’s not something that can be taught either. Just be happy with yourself, even if you suffer from minor infractions.

Say you’re a public farter. Or you smoked pot that one time because your friend dared you. Or when in a hurry, you speed a little too much and occasionally run over cats. Or maybe for fun, you’ve been known to steal old ladies’ walkers then run away laughing. Embrace your flaws. After all, no one can be perfect like me.

Oh, and along with my saintly works, I write books. Urban fantasy, open roads fantasy, zombie fantasy (as compared to realistic zombie), and young adult fantasy. See the common denominator there?

Of course you do, you public farting, pot smoking, cat killing, old lady tormenting sons of bitches!

A pleasant surprise! The author created a world that has a dark undertone...but she kept humor throughout the story. She also did a great job of bringing me from chuckling thruout to reminding me of the darkness of her world.

Lola and Jules are sister "Shadow Warriors" whose duty it is to protect humans. Their mother leaves their father and for the first time the girls are thrust into the school system...but this highschool isn't normal. It's full of other paranormals.

Well edited & formatted. Great flow to the story. And once you get into the book, the title makes total sense ~ very clever!

Would I recommend? Yes. Would I read the next one? Yup! Job well done to the author.
