This is an excellent Visual Guide where each episode of the series gets its own chapter. It adds a bunch of new names of sentient species (too bad that some still remain unnamed), new classes of ships / vehicles and a lot of character names. It also includes a highly detailed map of the galaxy like the one from the latest edition of the Encyclopedia (its not exactly the same map, though).
I just wish all series would get a visual guide like this.

A quick but sumptuous read, as with all the guides in this series. As the one TV series that is to be our only snippet of real life action set in the High Republic for the foreseeable future, it manages to offer just enough explanations without spoiling any mysteries left by its cliffhanger ending.

Yeah I know people have mixed views of the show, but I enjoyed this...
Star Wars The Acolyte Visual Guide by Pablo Hidalgo is an encyclopedia in the long running series but the first to cover the high republic era.
Overall I got a kick out of some of the new ideas (or at least new for live action) from the show. I like pretty much anything Star Wars.
This book does a decent job hitting a lot of the notes of characters in the show but also covering a bunch of background characters, places, and items that are easily missed in any tv show.
Some characters get fun backstories or character details, while others might remain a tad mysterious.
The photos definitely give you a better look at the world than the preference for dark shadowy images..
Naturally the book even hints at some of the secrets not explicitly stated in the show...

Some interesting details and a form or recapping the entire series with some added details.
Vernestra Rwoh is starting to develop some depth of character between the series, this book, and the Acolyte Wayseeker novel.
