The Alpha’s Fated Choice

Rate this book
I was defeated.

The woman who beat me was kissing my fated mate—the same man who’d left me breathless days ago, only to pull back and say he was engaged.

Perfect. No one wants a “no-wolf” outcast cursed by her bloodline.

Then another alpha steps in, ready to claim me. But Alex? He storms back, ditches his fiancée, and growls, “You’re mine.”

For what?
Love... or the key to his revenge?

If he knew the power I’m hiding—he’d never let me go.

Meh. Long and dragged. The heroine was really stupid, the whole town was put there to keep her subdued and she didn't notice their strange behavior. Ends with a cliffhanger. I Won't read the next one in series

Annoyed by the lack of interesting readings lately, I’ve decided to throw myself into paranormal or as it’s now said, romantasy fiction.
This one has wolf shifters that I don’t know why but they’re considered the best, I mean, I’d like to have more vampires, dragon shifters or even some lion shifters but I suppose nowadays fashion dictates wolf are all the rage so wolf it is.
The heroine actually has a latent wolf so she’s considered less valuable than a normal shifter and the hero who’s an alpha looking for a very rare silver wolf, is in the beginning quite conflicted because he would like to mate with this silver wolf that would help him defeat an evil queen, but he’s very attracted to the heroine and the eventually decides that he can’t mate with anyone else than her. The heroine is quite the punching bag because she accepts that the hero has to mate another wolf for pack purposes, so she’s not that angry by his rejection, on the contrary she helps him.
Guess what.
No, I won’t tell the ending because this is a first installment that ends with them deciding to stay together and to fight together. I think I’ll read the other installment too.
There’s an evil ow, many wolves that are evil, the book is good and interesting, with actually an interesting trope and some mystery.
Totally safe.

absolute garbage

This book was a waste of time. This book felt more like a soap opera tv series… stupid dramatics, long drawn out plots with idiot characters. Awful read. One spicy scene and the rest made me wanna smash my head against the wall… and don’t get my started on that ending

DNF at 44%. This book is long. Very long. And it doesn’t seem to go anywhere. I stopped at around page 300 out of 650.

There’s been no movement… the story is in essentially the same place as Chapter 1.

The writing is also a bit choppy. This book needed a firm hand with editing.

This book had so much potential! I loved the suspense and intrigue that the author set up, I just think it was poorly executed.

Sophia is an orphan, latent wolf (meaning she can’t shift), pack outcast. She spent her formative years at an orphanage, tormented by staff, pack members, and the other children, until, one night, she is attacked. She blacks out, but when she comes to, she has slain 5 young shifter boys and is banished to an isolated pack town.

In town, she acts as a bartender, largely being snubbed and belittled by the town. A few nights a week, she moonlights as a cage fighter, attempting to save enough money to purchase her ticket out of her pack and its cruelty.

Enter Alex, her fated mate. He is in town on business, hunting for the elusive “Silver Wolf”. Sent by the tyrannical Northern Coalition pack leader, who brutally murdered the adults in his pack and has imprisoned subsequent generations of pups to use as motivation for loyalty. He believes that he needs to mate with the “Silver Wolf” in order to gain her alliance in overthrowing his Alpha.

Cue lots of “I love you, but I can’t have you”, “you don’t understand!”, “why can’t you choose me?” It is honestly well done until about 70% through the book. Then, I feel like the author gets overwhelmed with the amount of info she’s introduced, and starts killing off characters. All of the sudden, Alex realizes he can’t live without Sophia, and they decided to run away together and give mated life a shot.

I would have been OK with this ending, but, then book 2 starts with Alex pushing Sophia away again to “protect her”! So frustrating! It’s like the characters didn’t evolve or learn anything in book 1 and the whole thing starts again. So disappointing. I would have loved to see them solidify their bond and work as a team, in conjunction with Alex’s inner circle, to overcome their adversaries.

MFC Shopia is a latent shifter whose whole life has been one unfortunate circumstance after another so why should meeting her fated mate be any different? I found Shopia to be more accepting and understanding than most. I liked her protective nature, big heart, and fiery temper, which is most often directed towards Alex, the mate who rejected her.

With Alex, there is more than what's on the surface. He's complicated and while I mostly liked him, I found some of his thoughts and actions irritating. However, I understand that things aren't really what they seem.

Do I feel like the book was a little long? Yeah I do, it could have been trimmed back a little. However, I did really enjoy it. The people in this town are acting weird, as a reader I see it, and the fact that Sophia is a little dismissive of what was happening killed me. I wanted to yell at her that ot was important. A lot of the pack members are oblivious keeping secrets, things were happening and I was dying to know more because things weren't quite adding up like I thought they should.

I really enjoyed The Alpha’s Fated Choice. There was a lot of excitement at the end and some of my questions got answered but not all. I'm curious as to how the story will continue so I'll be sure to check out the next book, The Alpha’s Fated Bond.

A solid 3.5 stars

I was torn on this one for a lot of it. Not only was the writing a little weird at times, but it was SLOW. Like a solid 30% of this book could probably have been cut, or at least rewritten.
I loved Sophia for about 70% of the book. She was a strong badass fighter who took no shit from anyone. And then in the last 30% they decided to turn her character upside down and change her into nieve and stupid, with no logic to her actions. It made no sense.
And yet despite those things I really didn't like. I couldn't put it down. I was invested. It was a shifter romance different to most I'd read. I loved the rejected mate angle and it was mostly fun to read, until the very end.
I'm torn on whether to continue on with the series because while I'm intrigued, the big questions have been answered and I feel like her decisions will only get more stupid from here, and I'll probably end up not enjoying it as much as this.

Hated it. Almost DNF

I rarely write reviews, let alone give bad star ratings. Let me tell you. This is the one to skip. I understand the author was going for a mystery vibe but the entire book was *very obvious clue* every other paragraph and the fmc being like ‘I have to solve this mystery so I can go back to my life which I hate so much’ I had to push myself to finish this one because I was really hoping it would get better. This has the obvious plot of special wolf men want to breed with, which is fine, but the whole time the fmc is clueless and can’t figure out what’s going on and why everyone is interested in her despite the many many many clues being strung along. At one point the main male love interest calls her smart. Uh buddy, we have our doubts.

Searching for the truth

A great start to a new series, I loved this story and haven't been able to put it down. A well-written story full of mystery, betrayal, action, cage fighting, fated mates, love, romance and discovery, with plenty of twists.

Sophia is a latent shifter who has never met her wolf. She's lived in her small town since she was sent there as punishment for something she had no control over and though an orphan has never felt she's had the protection of her pack or the Alpha. She's wanting to get out, as she's never had anyone choosing her and has been fighting in rigged fights for a few years. But mid fight she catches sight of a male she hasn't seen before and almost becomes distracted.

Not many people come to their town as the town's security team vet everyone so she's interested to find a group of six new shifters in the bar where she works, led by the one she'd seen at the fight. And though she starts to sense he might be more to her, she's very cautious to trust and won't reveal she'd already met him.

Alex has come to the seaside town in the hope of finding the Silver Fox and that she might be willing to help with his pack. His information had indicated that the Wily Vixen, a cage fighter, might be the one they're looking for but when he senses his fated mate working in the bar he's torn between duty for his pack and his heart, finding he can't stay away from her.

But is everything what it seems in this small town; can Sophia and Alex find what they are both looking for?

Okay very conflicted but this book had me captivated!!!! I was stuck and could not look away.

Loved Sophia but also hated her for how naive she was. She said she didn’t trust those around her but she literally trusted every word. Hell the moment Noah came back and showed her a crumb of respect she forgot that he nearly killed her as a child ? And was like ya he wants me so he’s fine?

Alex was a great character but he’s the perfect reason why I’d always pick the villain. The hero always pick everyone else but you but the villain always picks you over everyone else. This is a personal opinion tho.
Loved how he was able to grow in his feelings to Sophia - it is kinda instalove but that’s kinda the way it is with fated mates.
Her being the silver wolf was so obvious? Didn’t they say her hair was a silver blonde? Or maybe I’m remembering it wrong.
It didn’t take a rocket scientist to figure it out.
The amount of people spying on Sophia on account of alpha black was kinda shocking. Esp Drew - but keep your enemies close ?

Sophia doesn’t need a mate - she needs severe therapy and to apologize to Alex. She was really really mean and rude to him and he even explained why and she still wasn’t getting it. I kinda wanted to slap her near the end of the book due to her being so naive - Elsa was right when she said she’s too trusting of people. By the end of the book I went from team Sophia to being team Alex. But like i wasn’t sure if I wanted them together.

Idk let’s see how book 2 goes

I will be continuing the series but if your someone who gets easily annoyed with naive and rude female leads - idk if you’ll like this book.
Sophia is not everyone’s cup of tea.

The start to The Alpha’s Fated Encounter Trilogy hang on get comfortable because if you start this you won’t put it down until the last page has been turned. Sophia is sweet one of the strongest we have seen in a while orphan abused, isolated her whole life because her wolf hasn’t appeared sent to a small shifter community as punishment for protecting herself where she makes friends, builds a life for herself fighting illegal fights she is good at it and one goal to buy her freedom from a cruel alpha who wants to use her to his own advantage. Alexis sexy as all get out alpha with one goal find the silver wolf who could save his pack finding his mate wasn’t on the list but when he found her his goals changed to protect her by rejecting to save her but in doing so realized something was different about his mate and he couldn’t just walk away learned she had more friends in her corner than she thought. Despite trying and believe when we say they tried to fight the magnetic pull they couldn’t but working together to find the silver wolf but only pull them closer when the alpha comes to claim her will her mate put a stop to it, will they have figured out who the silver wolf is, will she be the answer he seeks, can they see they are stronger together than alone, and where are they headed?

Unfinished trilogy

Mf, fated mates, lots of intrigue and mystery. This is a wonderful story. Unfortunately I didn't realize it was not complete. So it ends on a good but unsatisfying note. Many more good times and answers to be had. I am glad I read it despite that. It's well written and edited. The characters are well developed and the world building is limited but interesting. Spoilers follow: our orphan heroine has been isolated and abused her whole life because her wolf is latent. She's sent to a small shifter community as punishment after she defends herself and kills her attackers. With only a few friends, she builds a paltry existence including fighting in illegal fights against humans. Her goal is to buy her freedom from the cruel Alpha s pack. Her fated mate arrives in town but he is searching for a mysterious powerful wolf who can save his pack. Even rejected, she helps in her mate's search. And the story builds from there. I will definitely continue.

Downtrodden, alienated semi pack outcast, latent wolf orphan Sophia Hope’s life has been rough. Waitress by day, underground fighter by night, Sophia’s plans to buy her freedom out of the pack. Alex Stone, alpha of another black pack on a secret mission to find the legendary silver wolf; he’s helped Sophia fight thugs twice and watches the cage matches unaware it’s her. Realizing Sophia’s his mate, he rejects her, she’s a distraction to his mission. Surprisingly, alpha successor Noah Black, Sophia’s childhood tormentor, has begun to court her and offers help.

While there a few too many stupid pills, there really is a layered and fun read within this triangle backdropped by the mystery shrouding the white wolf’s power and the greediness for power. Thankfully the segregation of the wolf ‘species was explained in the beginning and wasn’t revisited. The beginning of the read is necessary but feels like filler as the various pieces are placed and to my taste affects the pacing of the outing makes the read feel plodding and boring.

Sophia and Alex are surprised

This is book one on the fated encounter series. This is an interesting story and world of humans, shifters, witches, and hybrids. The author does a great job with the plot. The main and sub characters do make this story more compelling. Alex, Alpha Stone, and his crew are secretly in the small town to help their people get free from an evil queen. They are search for evidence of a prophecy. Sophia is an orphan with a latent wolf who is snubbed by most everyone in the community. Sophia has like three friends in the entire town. She has a secret too plus works in the bar/diner where she meets Alex. I did enjoy reading this book, but as the story progressed Sophia, although intelligent, continued to put herself in harms way far too frequently and it became annoying. The big secret, by the seventy five percent mark should have been realized by both Alex and Sophia, but that last twenty five percent of characters not putting the clues together was frustrating. I still enjoyed the story overall. Read On!

This started off so strong! I loved the setup and was really rooting for Sophia. She had everything there was to love in a FL. Towards the end, the book started to drag and it felt redundant because the same events kept getting repeated with no real resolution. Honestly, I felt robbed because I had invested so much emotion into this story. The story didn't go in a direction that would have created more emotional satisfaction. Sophia was strong but she didn't follow through with her plan to actually run away which was the most disappointing part for me. It felt like she was bluffing the entire time through the story. Towards the end, it became ridiculous that she didn't know she was in danger. I really wanted to like this book because initially I couldn't even put it down but it just fell flat :(
Oh and also, the book description is not accurate at all! Super misleading. Felt like a bait and switch.

Reject mate shifter romance

I enjoyed this story. Yes, Adam rejected her. He did it for noble reasons. He couldn't stay away from her. He wanted to protect Sophia. He had an obligation to his pack and he needed to find the silver wolf in order to do that.

I knew who the silver wolf was from the beginning. It was painfully obvious. I did enjoy watching sophia and Adam run around trying to figure out who it was. At one point, I just wanted to shake Sophie. One of the worst detectives ever.

Also, how many tainted beverages will a girl consume from people before she stops! When she took that shot I wanted to shake the stupid girl.

No one is as they seem. Everyone has alterior movies. Definitely leads to an interesting story.

This book does end somewhat on a cliffhanger

Sophia has been rejected most her life so when her fated mate does it too its hurts, but she expected it to happen. Alex and his friends are there on a secret mission for the Silver Wolf that can help save his pack. Sophia is a shifter that can't shift so he knows she isn't the one he is looking for. Even though he doesn't want to he rejects her but the pull to be with her keeps him going to her. When another pack Alpha starts courting her things get very complicated. Will Alex find what he is looking for? Can they be together finally?

This is a great story that will draw you in from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

I’m 49% of the way through this book and it is just dragging on and on and on. These characters are possibly the dumbest ever. The author has made it very obvious that the FMC is the special silver wolf the MMC is looking for but she doesn’t know and he doesn’t know it. The MMC also can’t figure out that his mate is also the fighter he’s attracted to. It’s a little ridiculous.

Each character talks in circles about the same crap over and over again. I literally fell asleep multiple times trying to read this because it was so boring.

I just realized there are two more books in the series that continue with these same characters. I can’t read more of this nothingness, so I’m going to quit now before I waste any more of my time.

AMAZING!!
Really enjoyed this different take on shifters. The main character Sophia has a dormant wolfand really struggles to trust anyone due to the bullying she’s received because of this. When her fated mate Alex is revealed he also rejects her due to him trying to do right by his pack, by mating someone else he thinks it will make it all better but because she doesn't expect anything more as all she’s used to is rejection she still tries to help him.
This is a great story i really enjoy Jaymin’s character and world building and can’t wait to read more in this series.

What a wonderful story and you are glued to the journey that Sophia and Alex make from the beginning. Sophia is a beautiful young woman but a bit gullible and has been suppressed by everyone her whole life. Alex unexpectedly finds his fated mate but is not so happy about it and rejects her, not knowing that she is probably the one he is looking for. There is danger, action, violence, romance. Their story does end in a cliffhanger, if you don't like that then this is not a book for you, but is definitely recommended to read anyway.

Frustrating in the best way

I spent so much time, like when you scream at the movie, "He's behind you!" but it was a rush. Thankfully all of the loose ends were finally tied up and I'm left satisfied by all of the mysteries that kept me glued to the page. Now I can't wait to see what happens in the next part of this story, it's too good, I have to know more! The characters are so well defined it's like I know them personally, I want Drew to be okay, I want to know Elsa's secrets, I want to know what Noah will do next. Of course Sophia, Alex, and his pack mates are the priority, I want more of all of them.

I don’t know how to feel about this one… started off great then the middle part dragged on for soooooo long ( also this felt like a blatant money-grab by the author, because %70 of the descriptions didn’t contribute anything to the outcome. Just vibes….)
And I just can’t believe no one put 1+1 together??? With All the clues thrown around, did they really waited till the end to finally realize that the Silver Wolf was Sophia!?!? Seriously…
On the other hand, solely focusing on the beginning and the end parts, the story was compelling and quite different than the other shifter romance books out there.

Wow, this story draws you in and keeps you engaged until the end and it leaves you wanting more. It does leave the reader with a cliffhanger. Sophia is a naive but a strong woman and has been suppressed her entire life. Her life becomes more complicated with the arrival of Alex and his friends. This complex story has just enough heat and some violence on and off the page, I can’t wait for the next story!!!.

Fated to Fight

Sophia and Alex were destined to meet but when he rejects their bond, she is not that surprised as she is used to not being wanted. However, her willingness to help him later with his mission was a nice twist to this story. I also, liked the fact that she was a fighter. The ending felt more like a happy for now type of vibe. Some things are left to wonder if there will be another story to address this, but overall, I found this to be an entertaining read.

Not your average shifter romance!

This novel is filled with suspense, mystery, and intrigue. It is a constantly moving puzzle with random pieces being slotted into place with no clear end in sight.

The character development, from main characters to side characters, is outstanding! As the puzzle pieces start coming together, so does the different character development and relationships.

This is one book you won't want to put down as it starts to build on itself. 5/5 well deserved stars!

The plot was pretty decent. I will agree with others that Sophia does some stupid moves. She also likes to discuss things during life and death situations. The continuous lamenting of Alex not wanting her had me skipping over many paragraphs. I almost dnf'd at 88% but pushed to the end.
I think if 100 pages were cut from this book it could be really good because I did enjoy the plot (although it was glaringly obvious to everyone but the MCs)
I won't be continuing on, although I might read the end of the 3rd book for closure.
