The prologue of this book grabbed me by the throat. From the very first page, it was clear that Nyssa was a fighter. No matter the horrors she's faced, no matter how long she’s been held captive, Nyssa refuses to stop clawing her way toward freedom. Abducted from the streets at just seventeen, she’s sold like property to a man known only as Master. Her first escape attempt comes a year later, but the timeline after that gets a bit murky. When she breaks into Neil and Kenton’s home, it's implied this is her second attempt at freedom, though how long she's been on the run, living wild in the woods and surviving off what she can steal, remains unclear. What is clear is that this girl is pure grit wrapped in scars. Initially, it seems she’s traded one nightmare for another. Neil is furious that someone dared steal from him — especially something that holds deep personal meaning — and his first impulse is to simply bury her in the woods. But his husband Kenton sees through the rage and into the bruised, silent girl before them. Even when Nyssa fights like a feral animal and refuses to speak, not even revealing her name, Kenton senses something worth saving. The contrast between Neil and Kenton is one of the book’s strong dynamics. Neil, raised by a criminal father, has a hardened edge, a moral compass that spins wildly depending on the situation. While Kenton, more empathetic and emotionally attuned, connects with Nyssa on a deeper level — he, too, escaped a life of abuse, and sees himself in her. Their clashing instincts and deep love for each other create a fascinating push-pull around how to handle Nyssa. When the unthinkable happens and they inadvertently return Nyssa to her personal hell, Neil’s rage is finally directed at the right target. What follows is a brutal, cathartic act of violent vengeance. He unleashes the monster he’s kept caged, and though they aren’t able to save her before more damage is done, they do save her. And this time, they bring her home. From that point on, the emotional landscape shifts. For the first time, Nyssa has someone — two someones — who want to take care of her. It's a fragile, tentative bond built on promises and second chances. Yes, her decision to trust and accept them may feel a bit rushed, but in fiction, sometimes love really does heal all wounds. I especially appreciated the gentle care Neil and Kenton showed as they tried to become her safe harbor. The story walks a fine line between dark romance and healing journey, and does so with surprising tenderness. The BDSM and ménage aspects are handled with a raw, emotional edge, but what truly intrigued me was the living doll kink. It's a concept I’d never encountered before, and I only wish it had been explored a little more deeply. Overall, this is a mesmerizing, emotionally charged dark romance that doesn’t shy away from trauma but still delivers a richly deserved happy ending. A haunting, captivating read with heart — and teeth. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
He is a master of control, and his obsessions border on psychopathic. He will burn everything down for those. He cares about though. His husband was once his best friend, who he protected and eventually married. They have a steamy and devoted relationship, but have been looking for their little doll, a woman to be their third. One night, a bruised and battered woman breaks into their home. She is clearly terrified, as they try to figure out what happened to her. She trust no one she has been too badly betrayed. When they save her from her, worst nightmare, she starts to learn that while he may be a psychopath to everyone else he is ready to be her greatest protector. This is a dark story, there are definitely trigger warnings here that should be observed. This is a collection of darkly damage people who find their redemption in each other. In addition to them discovering and building their relationship, there is also some additional dark drama that they have to navigate. This is a fairly quick read, but packs a lot into those pages. The doll kink was a little weird for me, but I was unfamiliar with it going into the story. That is not the whole of their relationship though, so I think that saves it for anyone that isn’t into that. It’s dark it’s dirty and it’s a little bit dangerous.

I started chapter 1 at 11:30pm I finished the book at 2am, I could not put it down. This is a short novella but packs a punch, and I didn’t finish it feeling like story was missing like I do often with novellas. This book is fast paced and we jump right in page 1. Our FMC is strong, she has been through the worst things imaginable but still fights for herself and her freedom with all her might. Our two MMCs are opposite sides of the coin one is a Rottweiler the other a golden retriever and when our Rottweiler thinks that the FMC may be a danger to his husband he locks her up and pushes her for answers (but never does more than lock her up), but when she is put back into danger again he does not bat an eye at storming the castle to save his doll. In true Rottweiler fashion once he picks you he is protective and with destroy anyone who threatens what he loves but for his partners he is sweet and caring. The dynamic between our 3 MCs is fantastic and the author did a good job addressing that the FMC has trauma without making it her whole personality. "You can run, and run, and f*cking run. But I'll always f*cking find you."
There are 3 main characters in this novella. Kenton and Neil are married to each other. However, together they like a woman who can be their living doll in the bedroom. This woman is expected not to move, talk, or express emotion in any way during sex. That's their kink.
It just so happens a living doll is delivered literally to their doorstep. Nissan was kidnapped and abused. The abuse parts are pretty dark! Nissa chooses to be mute to protect herself. Once Nyssa escapes her captor she tried to rob Kenton and Neil to get money. When Kenton and Neil see Nyssa they know they can't let her go. The men are compelled to help Nyssa.
The rest of their relationship and connection comes later. Kenton and Neil will find out what really happened to Nyssa. It was nothing the men expected! There is a happy ending. I wanted more.

I will always enjoy a contemporary why choose and this was no exception. This was a short novella with no lack of spice or drama. It read like a full novel to me, and I was intrigued from start to finish. The drama was honestly a happy surprise to me. I'm not used to having novellas having such a punch, but it added so much depth to the overall plot, and I really enjoyed it. The characters felt one dimensional to me. Their personalities were strong right off the bat, but that was kind of it. There was not much in addition to how scary and wealthy they were. I would have loved a more intimate look into their relationship and personalities. Nyssa was the biggest disappointment to me. Her personality does a complete 180 turn without any kind of understanding. The BDSM aspect was also severely lacking. It was mentioned once or twice and of course done in the scenes, but I was left feeling confused and feeling like a missed something. Regarding the overall spice- I needed more!! I was honestly hoping for so much more.

Ash Coley is a new author for me and I want to read more of her stories! This is a tough read because of the cruelty, tragedy, and brutality that Nyssa has experienced. Neil and Kenton have scars from their own experiences, but have each other to soothe their hearts and souls. She is nearly feral when she’s caught in their home, but it’s quite a difficult journey for her due to Neil’s determination to protect Kenton.
I am intrigued by their relationship and how they add a ‘doll’ to their dynamic. The passion and steam is heady, their chemistry is very strong, and their love for each other is palpable. I love the care they show Nyssa as they work through her past and current trauma! She’s like a Phoenix under their protection and it’s sexy as she finds herself! I can’t wait to read more books from A Coley!!.

I couldn't put this down, a few hour read. For me its tame dark story but for others it might be too much but I wanted to share some of the triggers to help you know what your about to experience with this story.
Triggers warning... rape sex trafficking, abuse, torture, Nonconsensual hysterectomy and much more darkness.
Nyssa, 19, was kidnapped at the age of 17 and sold into the sex trafficking ring. Master as she is forced to call the old man who buys her, tortures her for his enjoyment among other things. She is a fighter no matter what comes her way.
Neil Falcon, Dom, billionaire, son of a criminal (his father has secrets even he doesn't know about). Married to Kenton, sub and is Neil's baby boy but he also will don't bend down to no one. Both bisexual men and are looking for their Doll, their third piece of their life.
This is a short story that delves into the world of doll kink, which is a BDSM offshoot that is still somewhat D/s-related. I hadn't heard of this kink before, so it was interesting to read, and even though I don't think it does much for me, it was still interesting and a fun read.
I enjoyed the interplay between the characters, including the MM dynamic, which I thought was very well-written. My only wish is that there was more character development - I felt like I didn't really know enough about the characters to feel connected to their motivation, and sometimes they did things I didn't quite understand.
There's a backbone to a potentially good story here. Sadly it has been lost on the rush to condense it into a novella. The writing is bland, characters unrealised, sexual chemistry non existent, situations depth less, and the doll kink totally way off mark. Which, as mentioned is such a shame. This could have been an interesting and hot story, especially with the doll kink. That said, it's easy to read, highlights an area of BDSM rarely discussed and could make a boring train journey slightly more entertaining.

I really enjoyed this story it was dark in places and what Nyssa went through was horrible. Kenton and Neil were so good together and you could just feel the love between them and when Nyssa came into their lives they didn’t treat her the best but you could tell Kenton cared and when Nyssa was taken that was when we really got a glimpse at Neil and what he would do to protect what was his, I loved the way the bond formed between the three and how Nyssa trusted them even after everything she’d been through. Great short dark read.
"Pretty Doll" is a tantalizing and intense MMF romance novella that dives deep into the thrilling realms of obsession, possession, and dark desire. The narrative pulls you into the life of a woman ensnared by the magnetic pull of two dominant men, igniting a dangerously passionate and emotionally explosive three-way relationship. Get ready for a rollercoaster of feelings, secrets, and electrifying encounters that will leave you breathless!

★”A survivor. A fighter. A broken woman desperately seeking freedom.”★
💝🫶🏼 Please mind your triggers before diving in 🫶🏼💝
What Nyssa went through to survive her ordeal was not enough to break her just yet. But the second time she manages to make a run for it, she ends up in the home of Neil and Kenton, caught redhanded with a pair of expensive cufflinks she as going to try to fund her escape with. Little did these men know that she would come to mean much more than just a thief, she would open their eyes to a whole new truth. Good ending for Nyssa, a well-deserved HEA for her.
I truly enjoyed this story. I have never read a MMF book before, so this was new for me. Definitely read the Author’s note before going in. I was not fully prepared for how dark it was. I wish the story kept going. It was brilliant. What Nyssa went through was terrible, but it gave me peace that Kenton and Neil rescued her. The bond between them was great, and I highly recommend this.

Out of the ashes true love finds them. Ash Coley does a fantastic job of writing dark and damaged characters who find the freedom and protection. Nyssa finds safety and security in the arms of Keaton and Neil. Neil being the dom of the trio he takes care of his husband Keaton and their doll. Fantastic story!.

his is a MMF dark Romance read with lots of crazy emotions such as broken, angry & hurt emotionally & physically with lots of twists and turns. Please before you read this book and see if you have triggers, this happens to be an age gap romance it includes Nyssa and her two male partners Neil & Kenton they decide to bring her into the marriage she has been traumatized and gone through so much she can't forget but can they help her though this?
This book had me falling in love with fantastic characters and an edge-of-your-seat storyline. I loved it so much and cannot express how much I truly recommend it to all who are looking for a great dark romance read.

Check the trigger/content warnings please. This book has heavy themes. A short story about a girl who escapes a tortured life only to be trapped again, until her new captors find out the truth. Kenton and Neil will do anything to protect her now, if they'll agree to be their pretty doll. Short, fast paced read.
This book was most definitely worth the wait. I really hope there’s gonna be another one cause this is going on my favorites list. Now it’s not for everybody, but I personally loved it. and she really does go through quite a bit.

This was a pretty dark story as the FMC suffered rather horrific trauma, so do check out the trigger warnings before reading. Most of it was from an external party but some of it was from the MMCs. I did like how they helped her heal though I did wish there was more grovelling.

Incredibly intense! Absolutely read the author's note before diving in! Brilliantly crafted and masterfully executed, but damn, even after reading the trigger warnings, I was not fully prepared.

This is the first story i've read from this author and it does not disappoint. Its dark, twisted, spicy. I was hooked from the beginning. I can't wait to read more from this author.
We open with Nyssa’s origin prologue and then quickly into a little spice. This is our introduction to the other two characters Kenton and Neil.
Nyssa’s quick blip of burglary puts her in a precarious situation that starts the cycle over again. Thankfully, they have a successful rescue attempt, and the three attempt to figure out their new normal.
I enjoyed this novella, but wished it were a longer book. I’d love to know the origin stories of Kenton and Neil’s families and see Nyssa’s comeback story. Overall, this was a great and quick read with a little spice and characters that I want to know more about.
