Mitchell never thought love would literally save his life until he meets a magic-wielding vampire who is as enchanting as he is deadly.
Mitchell Burke has a solution for every problem. It comes with growing up on the wrong side of the tracks. But he doesn’t know how to escape an evil vampire who makes him fight for his life every night.
Seryn isn’t a normal warlock. That might have something to do with also being a vampire. Or maybe it’s his visions of the future. A vision that includes a thieving, fated mate whose next fight will be his last.
The second he lays eyes on Mitchell, the past and future collide, leaving him with a fractured mind. All Mitchell has ever known is how to fight and steal but helping Seryn means having a firm but gentle touch. Just when Mitch figures out how to take care of his fated mate, his past comes back to haunt him.
Mitchell is the second novel in the Dragon Skull MC Daddies series. This steamy MM Paranormal Romance features a Daddy in training who finds out vampires and magic exists the hard way and a magic-wielding vampire, psychopath who looks like an angel but will kill everyone who hurts his fated mate. If you love unsuspecting humans, mates with a size difference, and lots of sexy time then you’ll love this spicy romance.
Living in Southwest Michigan, April resides with her husband and two kids. She has been an avid reader for several years. Writing her first story at the age of ten, the characters in her head still won't stop telling their stories. If April isn't reading or writing she can be found outside playing with the animals or taking a long walk in the woods.

Mitchell is the second book in the Dragon Skull MC Daddies series. I feel that this series is best read in order as things from the first book Daruss are mentioned. This is Mitchell and Seryns story. Seryn is a vampire warlock who rescues Mitchell from a vampire who makes Mitchell fight or die. This book just pulled me in and I couldn't put it down until I finished it. Seryn is such a wonderful character with all his flaws and Mitchell is his perfectly imperfect match. This story had me emotional several times. I love the character and world development that has gone into this series. I would definitely recommend this book and series.
Mitchell knows he's going to die. Either in the underground fight ring. Or from a beating from his guards. His only regret is that he'd like to see his brother, Jude, one last time. Daruss, the leader of the Dragon Skulls MC sends Seryn, a psychopathic warlock/vampire hybrid to rescue Mitchell to reunite the brothers. Seryn is also a seer, his visions show him that Mitchell is his mate. And how he's going to die if Seryn doesn't get to him in time.. And that's all in the first few chapters! This book was a WOW. And a POW. Seryn is an unemotional killing machine. Except around his mate. Then he's just a boy looking for his Daddy to say 'good boy'. Mitchell is a hot, even tempered and very protective Daddy. And the killing machine just melts into a sweet cuddly puddle. Mitchell's rules are hysterical. "No, you can't kill anyone until you've had two cups of coffee. And then we'll discuss it". This is 'Daddy's always right' on steroids. Absolutely loved it. I think this is my favorite of all April Kelley's books. A fun, fast read. I received an advanced copy of this book and this is my review.
A follow-up with older brother Mitchell rescued by his vampire/mage mate from a fighting ring just before he dies. They then try to find the guns that Mitchell stole that started the whole debacle, find the bad guy, including the evil vamp who ran the illegal fightining rings. I appreciated that Seryn was an adorably protective little psycho and that Mitchell just went with the flow with that... once he got past the idea of it. Maybe a bit of torture porn here (I don't need to read about torturing someone for information) but I just skimmed. I was curious about Seryn's background and what was with dragging along the diner guy/vampire meal and his ex doctor boyfriend along with them? They were just there. I suppose there is some plan for them but I kept expecting them to be more involved somehow.
This book is part of a series and you would have more understanding of the characters if you read the first in the series, but is not necessary. I liked the duality in Seryn, fearless, a natural killer, strong as a vampire and with magic at the same time is the boy Mitchell never knew he wanted. Watching their interactions and the evolution of their matebond was a really good time for me. Having the chance to see Jude, Raylee and Daruss was a bonus. This book is well written and edited, I recommend it.
Seryn is a deadly, albeit very unstable assassin. He's been sent on a mission to eliminate someone. When he meets Mitchell, everything goes sideways. They're fated mates , and Mitchell is in a world of trouble being held by some dangerous people and forced into fighting. I really enjoyed the dynamic between these two. Seryn did physically save Mitchell, but he's perfect for Seryn because he's able to give him the love, care, and attention he deserves.
This is an outstanding series!! I love love love the Dragon Skulls! Mitchel is the second book in this series and it was great!! Seryn was such a damaged boy and Mitchel was the perfect daddy for him! Seryn needed care and understanding and Mitchel, because he was used to caring for his brother, was the absolute perfect daddy for him. I recommend reading the series in order, you won't be disappointed!!!
I really enjoyed this story. It needed to happen. I loved how the main MC’s connection grows and that they are very protective of each other. Almost a insta-love but it grows along the way.
Glad to see how things turned out for Mitchell. He deserved how things played out after everything he has been through and done. All for his brother Jude.
This book will keep you hooked until you know what happens.
Now we have Mitchell and Seryn’s story. I like Seryn, even if everyone thinks he is a bit nuts. And Mitchell is Jude’s big brother who has gotten himself into a bit of a mess. But if anybody can get him out, it is Seryn and the the rest of the Dragon Skulls. These two are quite the pair.
Mitchell and Seryn's romance was very unique to just them. Seryn may physically rescue Mitchell due to his visions of the future, but Mitchell then turns around and emotionally rescues Seryn. I enjoyed Seryn's unstableness but was quite happy that Mitchell was able to give him care and guidance to settle him. Quite sweet, steamy and magical!
Mitchell is a follow up story to book one, following Jude's missing brother. He's been trafficked into an underground fighting ring. This part is brutal. But when the vampire assassin who has been sent to find him, Seryn, has a vision of Mitchell it complicated everything further.
Mitchell and Seryn have strong hurt/comfort vibes. There is also some play with the idea of Mitchell being the Daddy who helps protect and care for the vicious, powerful vampire. That part is only lightly included as most of the story is focused on rescuing Mitchell and setting his past mistake to right.
But if you like a story with instant mates and powerful supernatural beings, despicable criminals, and rowdy motorcycle clubs, then this is a good book to get into.
I am absolutely loving this new series. Mitchell and Seryn were so fascinating and I loved their dynamic and their story. This is the second book in the series and really should be read in order since this is Jude’s brother
