While listening to the wildly popular paranormal podcast Ghost After Dark, psychic Copeland Forbes hears a disembodied voice crying out for help. The episode was investigating the haunting of a clifftop mansion, where Domenica Fibonacci lived with her wealthy husband, Vic. On a stormy night in 1984, she tragically fell to her death. Forty years later, one question did Domenica jump or was she pushed?
Detective Jude Byrne isn’t convinced the cry for help was real, arguing it was a con job employed in the hopes of bringing more listeners to the podcast. When the host invites Cope onto the podcast to communicate with Domenica’s spirit, Jude is against the idea, fearing the offer is a trap meant to expose Cope as a fraud.
When there’s a major break in the Rothschild haunting, Jude and the cold case detectives are assigned to the case. Working together, Jude and Cope must piece together the clues to determine once and for all how Domenica died.
Did Domenica jump? Was she pushed? More importantly, what role did her husband play in her untimely death?
Sick of the slogging rat-race of her 9-5 job, Pandora Pine put pen to paper (literally!) to make her ambition of becoming a romance novelist a reality. She cut her teeth in the dog-eat-dog world of fanfiction, still dreaming of the day when she would be a published author. She lives in Massachusetts with her blabbermouth muse who’ s a fan of middle of the night plot twists.
In her spare time, Pandora fancies herself an amateur nature photographer. She enjoys mucking around in swamps, hiking through the woods and crawling around on her hands and knees in her backyard seeking out the perfect shot. Pandora is a fan of roadside seafood shacks and always thinks Mexican food is a good idea at the time.
Some of Pandora’s favorite things are chocolate, writing longhand with purple pens and handsome men falling in love with each other.
Don't miss Pandora’s seductive new novel coming soon to an e-reader near you.
Anything in the Salemverse is absolutely a comfort read for me at this point. It's pretty hard to find another multi series universe we'll on the way to 60 books depths still carries the wonderful found family vibe so beautifully.
In Ghost After Dark we have another of the coldest of cold cases being investigated almost alongside a more recent crime so the Cold Case Detectives with Cope playing a much more direct role really have their work cut out for them. Intrigue, brotherhood, familial love and humour...yes, the 20th Haunted Souls book still has it all!
This was a very enjoyable story. I was sure that the husband was guilty especially when he attacked Cope at the press conference at police headquarters but I loved how we learned the truth and Domenica was finally freed. Really disliked Kit Savage and hope we don't run into him again. The Webster story was not hard to figure out but didn't like either of them. The idea for the podcast for West Side Magick is a great idea so looking forward to the next story.
Back with Cope as the leading man in this book. He is asked to take part in a podcast in an attempt to solve a 40 year old death. Ronan, Jude and Fitz look into it as part of the Cold Case Squad. I like that the gang are all here and take part. Not so much of the kids this time although the watermelon eating contest was fun.
I will mention it again. No Greeley. Its the 4th July and he isn't at the party and no mention of him. Really strange!
This series remains fresh and entertaining I do miss all the kids getting involved but have hopes they e will return Cope and ten are my favorite who car resist psychics lovely read enjoyed as I do all books in this series
A wonderful story. It is always great to be able to read about Ronan and Ten and all their friends. This story was interesting with both cases, and I felt sad with each one after they were solved. I wondered if Cold Case Psychics is going to be a new series. Recommend reading.
I have been hooked on this series since book one! As far as I’m concerned, this series can continue forever! I absolutely love, love, love, all the major characters of this series!
I loved Ghost After Dark. It was brilliant and oddly fascinating. I've decided I'm moving and going to move into the same street as all the guys, I bet it'd be a blast!!😂😂😂 The only reason I've given this 4.5 stars instead of 5 is because of the typos!
Well Cope and Jude do it again. Solved two cases this time. I really enjoyed the book. I don't like to go into much detail and spoil the books for new readers, but I loved seeing Cope dip into helping with the cold cases for a change. 5 stars
Another 5 star read!! Love reading about these guys and all the cold cases!! Love reading about all the family adventures too! Can't wait for the next one!!
I am always up for a book involving all the guys. This one seemed to be rushed though. It came off like the author got bored half way and just ran with it.
Wow, Pandora has done it again. I really enjoyed this book and couldn’t put it down. After hearing a disembodied voice crying out and asking for help while listening to the popular Ghost After Dark Podcast. The episode was all about the haunting of a cliff top mansion, where Dominica Fibonacci lived with her wealthy husband Vic. In the midst of a hurricane she fell to her death. It’s been 40 years since and people still wonder whether she jumped or was she pushed? Cope wants to help Dominica but Jude is against the idea, as he’s worried that Cope will get hurt or that the host of the Ghost After Dark Podcast wants to up their ratings by showing that Cope is a fraud and psychic’s don’t exist. I can understand where Jude is coming from but I also believe that Cope has a right to decide what he wants to do.
I’m glad that with the help of Ten that Cope and Jude actually discussed things and came to an understanding. I also really liked Seeing Cope help Jude, Ronan and Cap out with the investigation. I really like what Cope, Cole, Carson and Ten have in the works and I can’t wait to see what comes of it. I’m glad that we at least some minor snippets of Carson and Cole as they and their families haven’t really been included in the family trips etc lately which makes sense as someone would have to stay and watch West Side Magick and the bakery but still. I’m looking forward to reading more books from this universe, as well as other books from Pandora. I hope that Pandora will write more books about Greeley as he deserves a lot more page time. I’d definitely recommend this book, series, universe and author to everyone.
