The book portrays a fun conversation between Sabhya, Saachi and her dad. However, it follows with Sabhya singing and brushing his teeth. But Saachi who is the elder sister is reluctant when it comes to brushing teeth daily. Her father tries to make it a fun activity by engaging her with the way Sabhya is enjoying the whole process of brushing teeth.
Moving forward, they visit the dentist who emphasises on brushing teeth twice daily for two minutes once after waking up and before going to bed. The book ends with a moral of the story relating to oral hygiene. It also includes a seven step routine on brushing teeth.
The book starts with a note to the parents which is quite informative. Moreover, I loved the illustrations, and the conversation between the children and their father. This is a good book for newbie parents for keeping at their bedside table which can help them in encouraging their children towards monotonous activities like brushing teeth with the help of songs and stories rather than scolding or beating children. The most informative part for me was how animals maintain their oral hygiene which was very new and refreshing for me to read.
I will rate this book ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 for illustrations, songs while brushing teeth making it quite fun, a seven step routine on brushing teeth, fresh perspective with a children’s book on a monotonous activity like brushing teeth and for including a part on how animals maintain their oral hygiene.

Parenting these days involves making kids interested in day to day chores in such a way that they not only shy away from them but rather look forward to them.
While our elder one was a toddler, just to make her motivated to brush her teeth at night my husband had come up with this fun calender where she would get stars on brushing twice and a particular stars at the end of the month would materialise into a present of her choice. But honestly with the second one we run out of ideas and patience too.
Hence when I came across this cute kids book " brush to the beat" I was elated. It seemed age appropriate to be read to my younger one. The illustrations are captivating enough for a child to be enthused about reading the book and brushing too. It's about two siblings Sabhya and Saachi. While sabya loves brushing , Saachi doesn't enjoy it much. ( Funny how all siblings are so different from each other ) Their mom dimple dang has written this book. The book is a must read if you want to introduce brushing to your kids.

I was not into Childern book's reading but as my kids started going to school they insisted to read me books, and yes I came across this book, which is highly recommend to all the mother's.
