USA TODAY bestselling author Stephanie Bond was seven years deep into a systems engineering career and pursuing an MBA at night when an instructor remarked that she had a flair for writing and suggested that she submit to academic journals. But Stephanie, a voracious reader, was only interested in writing fiction–more specifically, romantic fiction.
Upon completing her master’s degree and with no formal training in writing (her undergraduate degree is in computer programming), she started writing a romance novel in her spare time. Two years later in 1995 she sold her first manuscript, a romantic comedy, to Harlequin Books.
In 1997, with ten sales under her belt to two publishers, Stephanie left her corporate job to write women’s romantic fiction full-time. In 2011,
Stephanie launched a self-publishing business. Since that time, she has sold more than 1 million copies of her own books. To-date, Stephanie has published over 70 novels and has over 6 million copies of her work in worldwide distribution in numerous languages and formats.
Graveyard Girl is a daily serial that happens July through December. This serial started out pretty good but has gotten a little strange for my preference and is a bit different from Stephanie Bond's other serials. Josephine is a writer whose ex fiance cheated on her and is trying to steal her book rights. She ends up in a small town that has a history of witches. Josephine is responsible for looking after chickens, a goat and a graveyard. She meets Simon who is a stone mason and repairs the gravestones. There is chemistry between them and their relationship really grows in.this book. There are witch activities in the graveyard and many secrets. Josephine is putting a curse on her ex which I imagine will have consequences. I don't care for Josephine's mother but that is part of the story development probably. If you like paranormal stories you will probably like this. Josephine's adjustment to small town life is entertaining and.there are parts of the story I like. We'll see where the story goes. #GraveyardGirl
I have been anxiously waiting for this book since August 1st. I read each one in one sitting instead of daily because once I start there is no putting it down.
I love everything about this serial, except waiting! The main character has so many issues going on in her personal life. When I think she is headed one direction she veers off in the opposite. The characters in the town really could have their own story, and don't even get me started about what goes on at the cemetery! Witches and a goat named Satan fit perfectly into the story.
Graveyard Girl part 3 has left me wondering what in the world is going on, and has me anxiously waiting for book 4.
Someone or some people have desecrated the graveyard which is unforgivable. Sawyer works on trying to fix headstones. The town doesn't have a police department so someone else has to be brought in to investigate.
Meanwhile it seems the librarian has Josephine but fortunately a detective shows up to find out just what has happened. Curtis causes her even more trouble and she has to decide if she will turn to the dark side to deal with him.
There's a major revelation about Sawyer. One the plus side her relationship with Sawyer gets deeper but on the negative side it seems something major has happened to Rose's casket.
FS: "My eyes opened and I immediately groaned. My entire body ached from spending most of yesterday helping Sawyer clean up the vandalized Whisper Graveyard, and we'd made scant progress.
LS: "As the sirens grew closer, we stood vigil over Rose's empty grave, the upended tree a stark reminder that in Irving, even the dead didn't rest easy."
Absolutely love this! Can’t wait for Part 4!!! Excellent writing & love the characters & the story they tell!!!! Cannot put it down & wait impatiently for the next part every time!!
Really fun, Josephine is a good character, her mother is a piece of work. What’s going to happen to the ex, with the spell, where is Rose?? Can’t wait to find out.
Stephanie does it again with an unbelievable twist of events at the end of this month! This is a very unique series of being a romantic mystery with well loved characters from other books making themselves known again
Excellent storyline throughout this serial, I can't wait until the ex gets his comeuppance. What a cliffhanger, I can't wait to start read part 4. Love Stephanie's serials.
There are no adequate words to describe how fantastic this series is. I love the daily serial, I can read a little bit each day and never get bored with the story. It’s very unique & I highly recommend it. I look forward to part 4.
It just keeps getting more and more exciting and mysterious. Naturally, Stephanie Bond ends part 3 on a cliffhanger. This has love, mystery, scary parts, humor, ex-boyfriend problems and more. Can’t wait to dig into part 4.
Where'd she go? I wonder if any of this magic is real? Then she sees Sawyer use it she believes. I wonder if the spell that Tiles placed will work or is she using Josephine?
Part 3 was very engaging. It created even more mysteries. I enjoy the short series written as journal entires. I recommend Stephanie Bond’s series books.
