Can you survive the Pizzaplex? Find out in this interactive novel in which you decide what happens!
Relive the newest, biggest Five Nights at Freddy's location and setting of the smash Security Breach game in this all-new, interactive novel. You are Cassie, a young girl trapped inside Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex. Chased by terrifying animatronics as well as the nightguards, you've got to do whatever you can to make it out alive. Can you escape? Or will it be game over before dawn?
Scott Cawthon is an American independent video game developer, animator, and writer, best known for his creation of the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise.
Decent choose your own adventure story. Kind of felt repetitive? I think the branches could've been done a little better, personally. Not the worst but a far cry from the best in the series (easily The Week Before.) I also wish there was more connection to the games themselves. This felt very separate from the game and didn't really fill in many gaps that the community hadn't already puzzled out. I also kinda hoped it might hype up the upcoming game a bit given the character connections but there wasn't much to go on there.
Not a bad experience in a void, but it was weak as an entry into this franchise.
Of all the interactive novels this one feels the most linear. The branching paths all lead back to tell the same information just in different places and there aren't really any fun things to find down certain dead ends like in previous books. Where as in previous installments you could pick a path a get a completely different story, in this it all feels like the same story, our choices don't seem to matter as much. Its a very interesting story, don't get me wrong, but it just doesn't feel like it takes advantage of the formula as much as previous interactive novels. I did definitely have a good time with this one and there is some interesting bits of lore to be found and pondered over. There are sister location parallels in here with the night structure that feel important as well as some more obvious doctor rabbit things with Gregory. I'll have to think on it more. Definitely my least favorite in the series but overall still very good.
I love the FNAF series; however, in my personal opinion this story was a little boring at many points throughout the book. Also, this is my first "Interactive Novel" and I thought that many of the options you could chose were very repetitive and sometimes just pure luck based. I have "played" this book on my own once after I "played" this book with my 7 year old brother (To see how a different path looks/plays out). I haven't read all the endings nor all of the choices but during my second "play-through" I attempted to choose different options and most of the time the outcome was relatively the same. My brother loved it and loved making decisions and having to restart if the decision he made was the "wrong one". I enjoyed parts of the story and reliving/revisiting some FNAF lore, but this book seemed lesser than the other books. This book is great for young readers and die hard fans and I'll rate it a 7/10.
This book is alright, with a passable plot. The only strong dislike I have with the book is that it is very repetitive; every night has the same loop: the Pizzaplex closes, Gregory has something planned, Cassie plays along, the story gets interesting, then all interest is lost when it's one of Gregory's "pranks" and Cassie gets upset while the supposed "friend" laughs at her fear. The loop does end on Night 3, kinda, when "the Reagent" appears because instead of that loop, we get a new loop of Cassie being stuck in the Pizzaplex until the end of Night 5, adding a new threat with Gregory's torture methods, which might include Reagent based on the ending. This book has good, interesting parts; it just needed to be cleaned up or have a less repetitive plot.

I can’t decide whether it’s better or worse than the Into the Pit Interactive, so it gets the same rating.
I was excited when I saw that this one was 40 pages longer than the last, but this book is very repetitive as a consequence, with many pages being almost exact copies of other pages. This could have been fixed by just sending the reader to one “catch all” page
That said, this is the book in the series with the heaviest focus on collecting and using items, making it feel much more like a game
It’s just a shame that the positives in this book don’t outweigh the negatives
(Also the book mentions Glamrock Chica but she never appears?? Disappointing)

After enjoying the first and second interactive novels, I was excited to see the third continue the winning streak. Sadly, this book let me down. While it's not exactly badly written, the plot is overly repetitive, has some confusing implications, and is easily the least exciting/interesting of the interactive stories. The worst offense is that this book makes Cassie's character in "Ruin" DLC feel a lot weaker. The fact that I have decided not to consider this book canon at ALL (not even a little bit for lore clues) says a lot.
I like what it was trying to do. I found a total of 39 endings before I called it and called the book completed. There are 4 "good endings" that you should strive to read.
I really like the take that the friendship between Cassie and Gregory was always toxic and manipulative. Its an interesting new development, cannot wait to see the Game Theory video. :)
Started and finished it in one sitting. Still have the fnaf thriller feel, but better for people who are scared to play the games. Really felt like playing a fnaf game and lowkey imma try to find more!
I like the concept and think an interactive book is pretty cool, there are many different ways to go and options but I found it a bit repetitive when I tried to go other routes after finishing the book because very similar events happen each time.
Survive five nights at Freddie’s! Like a video game but in choose your own adventure format. Make the right choices to escape the pizzaplex or GAME Over! I’d recommend this for 7th graders and up who want a good scare challenge.
Had some decent fun with this interactive novel 7 game over and got 2 endings! Now with the new item I get to start with I’m going to see if there is any other endings.
Loved this! Me and my son have been reading these allowed and making choices together to see what happens! We enjoy them so much! This one we really want to retry as well!
This one felt pretty lackluster. The Week Before made you want to go back and find all the hidden secrets and bits of lore. We got to meaningfully know a character for the first time.
This one not so much. It feels much more repetitive and there really isn't much to learn here other than "Gregory bad".
Edit: I didn't care enough to redo the whole story to get the NG+ ending, so I just skipped to the last prompt and read it. It's practically identical to the regular ending, and what it does add isn't any new information. I docked another star for it. I checked out some of the other endings and they're literally, for all intents and purposes, identical.
Written in the second person, Escape the Pizzaplex (2025) by Scott Cawthon and Lyndsay Ely continues the series of interactive novels inspired by the popular video game franchise.
This installment follows Cassie, a young girl spending the night inside Freddy Fazbear’s Mega Pizzaplex with her friend, Gregory. As Cassie moves through the eponymous five nights in the Pizzaplex she encounters its menacing security bots, cleaners, and the “Glamrock Animatronics” including Freddy Fazbear, Montgomery Gator, and Cassie's favorite Roxanne Wolf (who plays a key role in Cassie's survival on multiple nights). Cassie’s games with Gregory take on increasingly high stakes as it becomes clear something is very wrong in the Pizzaplex.
With help from found items, readers try to get Cassie through the entire book alive. Whenever it’s “game over” readers can play the night again or start over from the beginning. With two difficulty settings and multiple endings this book offers a reading experience reminiscent of a “Choose Your Own Adventure” novel, encouraging readers to reread to unlock a different narrative.
Fans and new readers will enjoy this interactive horror novel set in the location of the game “Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach.”
