Kieran has stepped up to take his place as the ruler of magical San Francisco. As his girlfriend I'm in the spotlight, and the Hades Demigods have taken notice. They want me on their team, and they don’t plan on asking nicely.
Kieran and I are both under fire. They will kill him to get to me, and they'll take me by force if necessary. It is essential I learn more of my magic.
With no other options, I do what scares me the most - I summon the last Spirit Walker to help train me. Except, he's a loose cannon with looser morals, and learning spirit is treacherous. I might evade the Demigods only to be lost in spirit forever.
Adapted from the novel and produced with a full cast of actors, immersive sound effects and cinematic music!

Author: K. F. Breene Title: Sin & Spirit Series: Demigods of San Francisco, #4

I listened to the Graphicaudio Version of this book. The first three books I had on audio. But I ended up buying the first three book in the Graphicaudio Version too, because I enjoyed the production of the fourth book. I also preordered the fifth book. I love Graphicaudiobook. Sure they are always abridged Versions of the book. But I have the feeling that I didn’t miss out by only listening to this version. The only thing that’s normally difficult for me is to catch all the characters names and their descriptions. That’s why they are missing here. But I want to come back later and fill the gaps.
The Characters: Names and descriptions of the persons coming soon
I felt like a lot happened, but nothing happened in this book. It was fun seeing everyone after the big face off, but it felt like there was very little action. Some big things happened, but overall, it felt like a giant chess match. Pie es were being moved into place, with moves and counter moves. I'm looking forward to the next one.
Harding!! God, I love Harding, or rather, the person acting as him.
Reading this again and knowing who this Harding guy is just makes all his interactions with the things around him so much more hilarious. His time in the cat is the absolute best. And because of who he is, I know no one will be able to stand against Alexis when he is done with her. I notice he slips up every now and then when he talks about soul stealers, something I didn't notice my first read. But reading it again and knowing the truth behind him, I can hear the slips.
But regardless of Harding, this book hurts so much, especially knowing what comes toward the end. It was a fate I had never wanted and it tears me up. But at least he's not truly gone.
I have two more books to go and things are really getting going now. With the death of one demigod, another comes forward to be an even bigger threat than the previous one. But now he knows he isn't fooling anyone, that our little band of misfits have already clocked him and in it for the long game. Kieran is smart and he has the perfect advisor on his arm who, in turn, has the best possible mentor she could have for her situation. No one is going to be beating them.
I bought this series as the Dramatized version instead of the regular version ONLY because it was only 1 book each. Compared to their normal (cash grab scheme) splitting them into 2 or more parts, which I hate that they do that. I only want 1 book per book. And because they were on sale. Otherwise, their prices are outrageous.
Pros to this version: 1. Each character has their own narrator, which is something regular audiobooks need to be doing. 2. The rearrangement of the scenes and paragraphs seemed necessary as the original writing seemed all over the place and the author should think about editing the original to match the dramatized version.
Cons: 1. They completely rearranged the whole thing. I can't follow along in the book. 2. Their "sexual" noises (moaning, kissing etc) are sooo fucking fake and just disturbing. They did cut out most of the sex scenes which I was glad for because skimming through them, they seemed stupid.
@ THE COMPANY--- IF YOU ARE GOING TO REARRANGE THE WHOLE BOOK, U NEED TO COME OUT WITH A SCRIPT TO FOLLOW ALONG.
Okay this one dug my heart out a few times! I felt anger, fear, confusion and outrage along with anxiety for these characters! Things are picking up speed! Can’t wait to start the next one!!
I enjoyed this story, but I still don't love the actor's voice for Kieran's character. He sounds like a middle-aged man, which for me, doesn't fit well as a the soulmate for a 25 year old woman.
Basic Plot: Lexi develops her powers while her demigod father plots against her.
These books are fun, but so danged short. There's a lot of behind-the-scenes plotting and some very real stakes to the conflicts happening. The action was very solid, and listening to this one play out via Graphic Audio was well worth it. I'm really enjoying this series.
