I recently came across this amazing novel on TikTok, and I have to say, it's been a thrilling discovery. The author's writing style is incredibly gripping and introspective, drawing you in from the very first page.

The short chapters make it so easy to get lost in the story as it effortlessly shifts between different characters, keeping the reader on their toes at all times.
Throughout the story, the author engages in these mind games that add an incredible element of intrigue and suspense.
There are a few unanswered questions, but the potential for a sequel suggests that these unresolved aspects will be addressed in the future, bringing greater coherence to the overall narrative.

This book was captivating from the start! I really enjoyed A.S. Lhoyes’s writing style that instantly grips you and sucks you into Jake and Leah’s world full of dark romance and suspense. One of my favorite things about this book was the depth of the plot. Throughout the story, there were several plot twists that kept me engaged and wanting to know what happens next. If you love morally gray characters with dark themes, this is your next must read!

I absolutely loved this book!! And I absolutely adore this author 🩷
The book follows the main characters Leah and Jake, and their journey of deception, lies, mistakes, love and most importantly… revenge! There is also a couple of spicy scenes which I loved as well!
I really liked how the chapters were kept short and very easy to read.
I loved to see how all the lies unfolded and were resolved toward the end of this book. The strong bonds that these characters had formed in the end when they were free from the corrupt government was really sweet and I loved to see it!
If you want a quick and easy read with an amazing plot I would highly recommend this book 🙌🏻📚

I feel so privileged to be an arc reader for ASLHOYES so thank you for that! I really enjoyed this book, it’s fast paced so got through quickly and was hooked from the beginning. The storyline was so good and the plot twist was unexpected, defo worth 4 stars!! Would recommend to anyone.
