In a world where mental health conversations are becoming increasingly vital, this poetry collection emerges as a beacon of understanding and empathy. The author delves deeply into the complexities of mental health, offering readers a raw and intimate exploration of the mind’s struggles, triumphs, and everything in between.

The poetry in this book is remarkable not just for its beautiful language, but for the way it captures the intricacies of human emotion. The author uses vivid imagery and metaphor to convey feelings that are often difficult to articulate.

One of the book’s greatest strengths is its honesty. The poems do not shy away from the darkness that can accompany mental health challenges, but they also illuminate the hope and strength that can be found in facing them. The writing is both delicate and powerful, balancing vulnerability with a sense of empowerment.

What truly sets this collection apart is its ability to resonate on a personal level. The author writes with such authenticity that readers may find themselves reflected in the verses.

It offers solace and solidarity, reminding us that while the journey through mental illness can be isolating, we are never truly alone. The beauty of the writing, combined with the depth of its insight, makes this a must-read for anyone seeking to connect with the human experience in its most vulnerable form.

Each poem is so and written so well that you really feel the emotions behind each one. I related to a lot of them and that’s part of the reason why I liked it so much. I think there are reliable poems in this book for everyone. Here are my favorites:
She Tried
When You’re Sober
Longing on a Phantom
Lunar Lullaby
Status of a Once Lived

I can’t wait to get my hands on a physical copy PLEASE check the trigger warnings if you plan to read this book. While it’s so beautiful, there are definitely some poems that can be triggering.

I am beyond proud of my friend Avery Jensen for her incredible debut poetry collection, Laconic: Words that Speak Volumes. This book is a beautiful journey through the depths of human emotion, and I am so grateful to have had the chance to read it. 📖💖

Avery’s poetry is a masterclass in the art of brevity. Each poem is meticulously crafted, capturing profound sentiments with an elegance and simplicity that is truly captivating. The themes of love, loss, longing, and personal growth are explored with such raw authenticity that I found myself deeply moved by every page. 🌟✨

One of the things I love most about Laconic is how it delves into the complexities of mental health. Avery’s honest and intimate exploration of the mind’s struggles and triumphs is both powerful and relatable. The vivid imagery and metaphors she uses bring each emotion to life, making it easy to connect with her words on a personal level. 💭💫

The structure of the book, with poems progressing from the saddest to the happiest, reflects Avery’s belief in the transformative power of hope and healing. This journey from darkness to light is beautifully executed and left me feeling inspired and uplifted. 🌈💖

Just finished diving into Laconic by Avery Jensen, and I’m completely in awe. The raw emotion and the depth of each poem in this collection are truly mesmerizing. One poem that really stood out to me was my favorite, Clandestine string. It touched my heart in ways that are hard to put into words, capturing the essence of betrayal and broken trust, tinting your heart with mistrust. Never again being able to feel again, like the first kiss. ❤️‍🩹

If you’re looking for a collection that speaks to the soul and lingers long after the last page, this is the one.

I liked a lot of the poems but there were some typos. A few of the poems, I wasn’t sure if they were typos or poetic expressions but if it was supposed to be expressions, I didn’t understand it.
