"Here Goes Nothing" is the third book in Dina Marie's delightful "Salem Spirits cozy Mysteries" But the novel can stand alone and it isn't necessary to read the previous books to enjoy this one. When Clara Kelly moved into a manor in historic Salem, she discovered that she can see ghosts. Clara lives with her found family: a rescue dog, the ghost of a gentlemanly civil war soldier and a ghost cat. She is also finding friends, frenemies and a possible new boyfriend. The main character is smart and plucky and the other recurring characters are fun and interesting. In most cozy mysteries, the protagonist is always finding a body. But in this sweet paranormal cozy series, she is also finding the ghost, who realizes that she can see them and seeks her help to determine the murderer.

This novel has a cute twist on the locked room murder plot with a clever reason for the people who find the body to search for the culprit instead of calling the police. When a famous YouTuber turns up dead after spending the night in a haunted house, those involved try to solve the murder before calling the police. The plot is fun, and the author provides a lot of twists and turns. The clues are not too obvious, and the resolution is satisfying. I read an advanced copy of this book, but the review is voluntary and the opinions are my own. I recommend this whole series to any paranormal cozy enthusiast.

Even though she's not quite ready to open her B&B, Clara Kelly is keen to join the small business community in the area and promote her new venture. Sponsoring a popular YouTuber to stay alone in a haunted house (not hers, luckily) overnight will help get her name out to the people and also do a good thing - raise money for charity. But when the star is found dead the next morning, it's only a matter of time before his spectre asks for Clara's help in solving his murder.

This series is fabulous. It has a likeable main character, an adorable supporting cast (ghost person, ghost cat, live dog), and a touch of the paranormal that doesn't demand a huge suspension of disbelief. The third book in the series, Here Ghost Nothing, builds on the strengths of the previous two stories with Clara adding new friends and a couple of frenemies. Clara's detective skills are heightened along with her abilities.

Here Ghost Nothing is wonderful for a winter read in front of a roaring fire. I highly recommend this series (and this particular book!) for cosy lovers who enjoy a smidgen of the paranormal skilfully woven into the tale.

I didn’t enjoy this story as much as the first 2. It was very predictable. And there didn’t seem like there was much of a mystery. But it was nice spending time with these characters that I’ve grown fond of. Hoping the mystery in the next book of the series is better.

This is the third book in the series. I haven’t read the other books but I didn’t feel like it mattered.
The mystery was interesting and I liked the characters. The only thing I wished was that the story would have been longer. I look forward to reading the other books in the series.

Here goes nothing

Every book in this series just keeps getting better! I love the growing that Clara has done. She is slowly coming into her own as she recovers more and more each day from her past. The bond she has with William is so special and makes these stories stand out. I love her passion and drive even when she’s completely afraid she still pushes through.
This story was something else. A very unique take on the locked door mystery. I really enjoyed the well wackiness that ensued as the parties involved tried to get the truth. Taylor is such a tool, you think you might get just a teensy bit of humanity out of him and then he sinks to new lows of tooldom. I really loved the ending so sweet! Wonderful book!

Looking Forward . . .

Clara Kelly had been waiting for the mailman, Charlie, for several days, expecting a special package. She had already been getting letters from her sister-in-law Allison’s attorney, trying to grab ownership of Clara’s historic home now that Clara’s cruel husband Joe was deceased. Focusing on Charlie, she hoped maybe today her package would arrive? He teased her a little, then said “Ta-da” as he pulled it out of his bag like magic and handed it to her. Civil War soldier William’s ghostly form appeared to see if the business cards had arrived for her new Kensington House Bed-and-Breakfast. As they chatted, she learned June 7 was William Kensington’s birthday and insisted they would celebrate it, especially because he had never had a party growing up. But tonight, she would be attending Salem’s Small Business Group meeting and would use her new cards for networking with the others.

Clara felt shy when she got there, thinking she was inappropriately dressed; but Stephanie approached with a smile to welcome her -- and she, too, was wearing jeans! Looking around, Clara did recognize a few other faces. Sebastian called out to say hi also. And Stephanie quickly let Clara know she used to date him, surprisingly making her jealous --
until Sebastian replied that after a few months, they decided it worked better to be just friends. Then the President of the group, Sissy Marshall, announced their annual trip would be to Las Vegas to attend a conference on starting a new business. She also mentioned she needed two sponsorships for influencer Kai Teller’s dramatic event coming up the next evening, his scary overnight stay locked in a haunted house with an angry ghost. His survival would mean that a million dollars would be donated to feed the hungry. Unfortunately, Kai ended up dead and Clara, with her ability to communicate with ghosts, finds herself involved in helping the deceased’s ghost get justice. Will she find out the truth? Or will all the exposed secrets cause even more trouble?

This is an awesome series, so don’t miss this one! The characters are endearing and you will find yourself cheering them on.

Here Ghost Nothing is a cute ghost murder mystery, where Clara Kelly helps Kai find who killed him.

This was my first book in the series, I have not read the others, but I agree that this can be read as a standalone. We find out in the book that Kai is not the first ghost who's murder Clara was around to solve but that information did not hurt the story, I was able to follow along even without knowing the history of the previous two books.

Overall, I enjoyed this book it was fast paced, it had funny moments and I thought Dina Marie did a great job with the characters specially illustrating a Youtuber that sole purpose, besides donating to charity, is on how to get more views.

The last two chapters were more to set up to the next book and it did make me intrigued on what the future has in store for Clara.

Loved this new book in the Salem Spirit's Cozy Mystery series. This book is very fast paced and happens within the span of one day.
Clara agrees to be one of the many sponsors for a stunt being done in the town of Salem by Kai Teller. Kai is supposed to spend the night in a haunted house for one night and when he emerges alive the next day, 1 million dollars will be donated to Feeding Salem Charity. Only problem is Kai doesn't make it out of the house alive and his whole team along with the sponsors are the ones who find him dead in the house and take it upon themselves to discover who murdered Kai. Lots of finger pointing and arguing happen in just the span of a few hours while Clara is doing her sleuthing to figure out who murdered Kai. A very quick read and I think any fans of cozy ghost mysteries will enjoy this book.

If I were to rate this book as a stand-alone, the rating would have been higher. Like the other previous books in the series it has an interesting concept. For me it touches upon relevant and thought-provoking topics while still keeping it light. In particular the role and importance social media has in today's society.

Rating this book as a part of a series (which is what I will do), and compared to the previous books...it's okay. My main issue is that I feel like this book does little to bring the series forward. The majority of the book focuses on the sleuthing and looses some of the other story lines that we have followed throughout the series so far.

My rating aside, it is a good read that I would recommend to others!.

Another murder in Salem means our girl Clara has some sleuthing to do. I enjoyed this book just as much as I did the first two. I'm glad Clara has a level head and acts like any woman in her situation would, especially with her history. One thing that I love about this series is that there isn't a strong romance subplot like other cozy mystery series. I enjoy that she's discovering who she is on her own and making friends.

I also like that she's taking her time in getting the bed and breakfast up and running and that it's not being rushed just for the story.

And now I must wait until April for book four sadly. But I would definitely like to get my little hands on it sooner than that!

A famous Youtuber is in town doing a stunt of staying in a haunted house overnight.
Where the ghost of a mother roams pining for her lost baby.
Clara is on hand as they are looking for sponsors and she wants to prompt her new bed and breakfast.
What she doesn't expect is for Kai Teller to be murdered in the night.
But as usual she is tangled up in things as only she can see Kai and she has to solve his murder.
With so many suspects who the arrogant star had seemingly offended it's hard to know what's what.
Yet outside the super fans are waiting for him to appear unscathed from his latest stunt...
Pressure is building as they decide how to break the news Kai is dead.
These stories just keep getting better and better, I constantly look forward to the next installment of the adventures of William and Clara.
Think this is one of my favourite cosy series.

I really enjoyed this book but it was a little shorter than the previous two and I felt we could have had more story outside of the murder. But the book and series is so well written that I just want a little bit more; not a bad problem to have.
Clara is working on starting her new business and starts networking and decides to sponsor a famous YouTube star. When he winds up dead, there is an entire house full of potential suspects.
Clara is such a great main character; smart, independent, competent, and bold. I appreciate that she doesn't fall into the trope of being reckless and finding herself in dangerous and avoidable situations. She's smart and safe. I love getting to know the other characters in Salem, the old houses full of history, the ghosts. It all comes together so well in this series.

The third book in this series was short and sweet! It only took me two days to complete it but like Dina Marie’s other books I didn’t want to put it down! This third book was different in the sense that a group of people were stuck in a house together to solve the murder of the famous YouTube star Kai Teller. I thought it did a good job setting up the fourth book in the series where I hope the truth about William finally prevails! Dina also has me hooked on the mysterious Alice and I hope we learn about her more in the next book. This book once again had me sleuthing right along with Clara to find the murder- not someone I would have guessed! I was fortunate enough to receive an ARC copy and this is my honest review. I would continue to recommend this series

Starting her own new business as a B&B owner, Clara attends a meeting of Salem small business group. Still new to town the few people she does know encourage her to be a business sponsor to a blogger. He is offering to stay in a supposedly haunted house in town, the Wyatt House, over night. The towns reward will be a donation to the towns homeless program. The characters in this book are great. When Kai, the blogger is locked into the Wyatt house, his fans camp outside. His staff and sponsors camp out guarding each point of entry to the house. Morning comes and the staff goes in to find Kai. To their shock, someone has murdered Kai. A secret Clara has, she can see and talk to ghosts.Will they figure out who did it? So many hurdles for Clara.

Ahhhh more Clara and William! Listen I really don't much care for Sebastian lol sue me, I'm #TeamWilliam all the way.

The story itself is fairly straightforward and easy to follow as well as to pick out clues and facts. Sad to say Clara isn't really the sharpest crayon sometimes but, I suppose she's learning with each passing murder. Er, story. I DO like how she's standing up to her ex-SIL and I hope Allison gets hers ASAP.

The Youtuber, unlike the previous author victim, is definitely less precious and adorable, but I really like the motley array of characters and the community of Salem the author's building. Will definitely be coming back for more!

Love this cozy mystery. Clara and her new found family, a dog named Boy, a ghost named William and a ghost cat, called Ghost cat. lol.

This is well written and flows nicely. I enjoy the personalities, especially how Taylor the newspaper journalist… conflict….

So fascinating that Clara can see ghosts. When another murder happens, the ghost immediately notices that Clara can see him and the adventure begins. Who done it??? Everyone accuses each other but it is Clara who figures it out, just in the nick of time. What does she do with this information? Read this entertaining tale.

Here, Ghost Nothing reads like a warm cup of tea on a chilly winter day! I thoroughly enjoyed this easy read. It was the first book in the series I picked up, and I had no trouble following the story; in fact, it motivated me to go back and read the previous book. My only concerns were purely editorial. On page 55, one of the sentences is missing the word "you." Furthermore, on page 53, there is a reference to ordering donuts, but later on page 60, it instead mentions ordering cookies. I truly enjoyed this and it's a delightful quick read however, personally I feel it lacks a bit of depth to elevate it to a 4-star rating.

After the first few pages, I decided that I should eventually go back and start at the beginning of the series because there were some excellent characters and I needed more background! I'm afraid I read this shamelessly fast.

I love a good 'human sees ghosts' story, and this was no exception. (I did get a little fed up with the group arguing amongst themselves as it felt like it went on a little too long, but then again I have a feeling that they were all fed up too.)

Overall, a very nice read, and a series that I think I need to keep up with.

This is book 3 in the series. It can be read on it's own, but there the continuing story of Kensington house and William flow over from previous books.

Clara is once again at the scene of a murder. Now she has another ghost that needs help finding out how murdered him.

I am completely captivated by this series! I love Clara and how strong she is becoming after a toxic relationship. The antics of Boy and Ghost Cat are a good comical effect, and learning about William and Kensington house's histories.

This was a sad and senseless murder with the motivation of greed and selfishness at all costs. I did enjoy following along and I especially like that Clara talks to ghosts and tries to get clues. I had no idea whodunit and found the story intriguing and captivating. I empathized with Clara because her ex SIL was like a dog with a bone and continued to threathen her and fight over the house!!! - more greed!! Great mystery. This is the third book in the Salem Spirits mysteries. It was good to see Clara moving on in her new life with her B & B and making more friends in town. This book was good with another tragedy hitting the area and a new ghost for Clara to help. I did enjoy the other 2 books a little more as I missed a lot more action with William and Clara's personal adventures. Somehow along the way, my brain had this as a three book series, so while I was reading, I kept wondering how it was going to wrap up in just 1 more chapter? Good news, there’s more coming!

This book’s ghost story was a little off for me, but that could be because Taylor isn’t my favorite. And I was disappointed Allison didn’t go away. There’s already so much angst in the world that I like to read joyful books with just one bad guy, the murderer. But it doesn’t take away from a good story, and ultimately I enjoyed the book.

I love this series! It's so different from the many out there. There are so many things going on and poor Clara is trying to fix everything from her B&B, figure out the murder, deal with all the ghosts and gets deeper and deeper into the situation. The writing is so good, brings you right into the storyline and the building of the storyline is never boring; the characters are great. I can't wait for the next book!

A definite suspenseful, murder mystery about the Kai Teller Krew enthusiasts on an overnight stay in a haunted house. Taylor from the local newspaper, our "favorite" reporter helps Clara, and help of the supporters to uncover the mystery of who killed Kai. Between exposing secrets of the Krew, placing blame on wrong people...can they find the right one? This story is fast paced and has some twists that will have you guessing along the way as your trying to help solve the murder too...

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story!

Even though I haven’t read the other Salem Spirits Cozy Mysteries before this one, I didn’t have any problems following the plot. I kept laughing when Clara tried to hide talking to Kai—a ghost at that point—because it looked like she was talking to herself, and one of the other guests at the event even called her “Freaky Friday” because of that. The plot is engaging, I thoroughly felt the appropriate emotions for all the various characters and this was a fun, quick read.

This is book 3 of Salem Spirits Cozy Mysteries Series. The story continues as drama with the family continues. The ghost of the house has a birthday coming up (which made me smile because it is my birth date). He never had a party so that may be happening soon. This book continues to show how hard it is to adulting with living and seeing the dead. I look forward to reading more on this series. Love this book.

It captured my attention from the beginning. The mystery was well written and puzzling. Clara's character is so well developed I feel like she could be a friend. Dina is such a gifted storyteller; from the first page I was engaged with the story.

As always the mystery was really good, but what I love about this series are the interactions between William and Clara. They were particularly moving in this story - I hope Clara can exonerate William, but equally I worry that he will be able to move on as a result ...

Well written suspense. I like how the author is so good at making everyone look guilty, that it's really hard for me to figure out the killer. However, I do wish there was more investigating involved. I enjoyed the story but kind of felt like it ended too soon. Guess I will have to wait for the next book to come out. Looking forward to reading what's next.

Here Ghost Nothing is the third book in the Salem Spirits mysteries by Dina Marie. I really enjoyed the previous stories a lot, but this one is not as good as the first two. I still enjoyed Clara and the plot it just seemed off to me. I look forward to the book, I'm hoping it's gives me more insight to this book.
