This book is all Over the place and I think the author got lost at times. I hate long separation second chance books so I wasn’t counting on much. .. Add to that the beloved first love dead wife syndrome and I could hear the nails in the coffin of this book. After Kicks wife is murdered and leaves him with a baby he isn’t up for a relationship until he meets fmc and they stay together for a few months. His child becomes attached to the fmc but then she disappears. 18 years—- but she has twins that are around 19 plus 9 months gestation plus the boy has been prospecting for at least 6 months adds up To at least 20 years.. so that was confusing. Also the whole twin girl Kidnapped by her grandfather who is killed by the MCC but no he didn’t kidnap her it was the Mexican cartel… meanwhile the H’s son is prospecting in the club he is prez of and the H doesn’t recognize the resemblance??? Even though the Twin Boy recognizes the H is his dad because his 5 yo son from the club whore looks exactly like him. Oh and one other thing when Kick wakes up drunk and naked and knows he screwed the clubwhore while he’s in a relationship with the fmc and then that is dropped like a hot potato. What was the point. Anyway I just read in another review this is the authors first book… it’s definitely confusing and all over the place and consistently inconsistent. Another book that suffers from Kitchen sink syndrome.
So I thought I'd try this author again, but this was worse. Even more inconsistencies. One huge one being at 90% the H Kick sleeps with a woman named Mia. Then at 95% he says he hasn't slept with anyone. Either the author completely forgot what she wrote or Kick straight up lied to TDTL Everleigh. But I really hated this h. She was dumb. Had BBS galore. Zero personality and I wasn't convinced Kick was all in. She's basically a fill in for his true love he lost at 18 who gave birth to his golden child Ky. h of course becomes pregnant and skips town. I hate when heriones keep their pregnancies a secret. And this one was for 18 years, but it was understandable somewhat. She knew she'd always be second place, and knew her kids from him would also be second place. She was pathetic for giving into him. Her desperate horny ways were embarrassing to read about. She chased him the whole time. Seriously yuck. This H has children by three different women. True love, club whore, and delusional desperate damsel in distress from her own making. Yes, that would be the h. These heroes in this series are nothing to get excited about. The heriones even worse because of how pathetic they are. Mind you I've only read the first and last book. BUT in the latest book Angel, Kick is still not a good man. In between this book and the most recent Everleigh get's breast cancer. In Angel's book Kick misses her doctor's appointment to see if she's in remission or not. Lovely guy am I right? 🥴 He wasn't all that torn up about it either putting his club and club brothers first. Not sure why the author writes so the reader can hate her heroes. Everyone cheats on their gf or pregnant ol lady, and no one says anything. Not even the so called strong feminists in this book. 😑 Don't talk about being a strong woman while watching others get cheated on and not say a thing. I expect it from the MC men, but the women? Crickets. Also, this author loves to write on every other page how wet her FMCs panties are. This particular FMC creamed her panties so often that she should have been medically checked out. But considering this idiot was a doctor was laughable. My apologies for using the word creamed. That's just the terminology this author used. I'm close to 45 and I can promise you I've never used that word in my life, unless we are talking culinary language.🙃

Awesome read. I absolutely loved Kick and Everleigh’s story ❤️❤️❤️ so much drama and many misunderstandings keeping them apart. I was happy to read through all their exploits, all the chaos and drama. An excellent read, I’m excited for what comes next. 100% recommend this book to everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Kick was a good read for a debut novel. The characters were engaging and kept me interested in reading. I look forward to reading the author's next installment.
I found a lot of mistakes in this book, spelling and punctuation. The story was all over the place. The FMC has twins from the MMC but hides them for 18 years. But when the girl twin is kidnapped, she goes to the MMC for help. She steals on the club lies to them right to the end of the book . Then has the gull to say to them That they kept her in the dark. Not one of the best MC books I have read
I liked the multi points of view even though it was a bit confusing at times but it did have a great flow. This new author did a fantastic job with her first book and I’m looking forward to seeing her work in the future
I found out about Jewel Craven books when she posted a video about her books. Immediately downloaded Kick' s book . His story was heart breaking and his story with Everleigh was so bad. Twi people are so in love and interference causing them to be apart for 18yrs. Their journey to HEA is a rough road but the author makes the book a page turner and you are cheering for the couple. Now the next one. Lol
Could have been great but when FMC gets pregnant she states that'll be MMC 4th child when in fact it would be his fifth. And when Mallory STOOD in the doorway despite being in a wheelchair as she was now paralysed i was done!
If your going to write a book you have to be consistent and make it believable
Everleigh and Kick had terrible childhoods. They first met in high school, the both felt that they could have a great relationship. Many people interfere with this relationship. After eighteen years, they are reunited to search for their daughter that was trafficked in Mexico. Kick continued to be unfaithful with Everleigh. This is the first time that I have read this author’s novel. I enjoyed reading this author’s creative and interesting book .
This is the first in a new series and this is Kick and Evie's story.. This is a well written story which is action packed, with family, friendships, challenges, emotions, loyalty, humour, witty banter, intrigue, suspense, danger, twists, heartbreak, undeniable chemistry, revelations, and love which all leads to an entertaining, and steamy addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
If you enjoy drama between the leads this the book for you. She was young when she got involved with kick and a misunderstanding drove them apart years later there are still so much secrets to uncover. Definitely this relationship was put to the test of time with lies and secrets.
Good book but you don’t get all the answers to some of your questions in this book. But this is about Kadyn and Everleigh’s story and how they had to fight their way to get their hea from other women he had been with and her father, another MC prez.
This is all over the place. The way it’s written I feel like I missed a book somewhere, but this is labeled book one. Much of the story is just told about in passing after an 18 year time jump. Maybe the details are told later in flashbacks but I don’t care enough to see it through.
