"For the Glory of Urlas, and the Brotherhood of the Blades, I fight!"
Before the fall of Urlas, the swords of Urlas sang in the choking smoke of the Orc Wars of the South. Master Rukes and his kin tasked with a special mission, invade deep into the territory of the Blood Filth Orc Legions. Their A new mysterious enemy that murdered an entire regiment of wood elves.
Ascending into a dangerous mountain region called Demonhead, Rukes discovers something that might just tip the war in the favor of elves, dwarves, and men... if he can survive the hellscape broods of one of the most powerful strongholds of the orc.
Finally having a chance to relax with friends, Rukes, Jalin and Oaur are asked to join with some dwarves to get an ancient weapon, along with the orc who wields it. Of course, they agree and off they go to an orc stronghold. In this story, we get to learn more about Rukes’ earlier battles against other foes, along with more of Jalin and the future wife and family he wants, and Oaur, our archon for the mission. While short, I am getting some background information on the characters I’ve grown to love and look forward to seeing again and again.
I received a copy from the author and am voluntarily leaving this review.
Love the battle scenes. J.T. Williams has a vivid style of writing that captures my attention and keeps me glued to the images in my head. The light-hearted banter between the Blademasters and their Archon even during battles gives me a chuckle and puts a smile upon my lips. The story lines as they set upon their mission are as interesting to read and as enjoyable as the battles. Definity a book worth the read.
Blademaster: Orc Hunt at Demonhead, my twentieth read from author J.T. Williams. An 87-page short fantasy read, well-written, entertaining & enjoyable. I'll read more from this author. I own 50 other books by this author & after reading this one they've just moved higher on my TBR list. “I received a Kindle copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
Blood Filth orcs? That denomination certainly reeks of derition even though rather accurate too. These Orcs are attacking the elves of Urlas in overwhelming numbers even though the Blades Urlas and Oaur seem to control the fighting expertly. Then the discovery that an ancient Orc with an ancient weapon holds the key to who will hold the eventual key to victory. Author JT Williams certainly created a thrill after thrill account of the endless war between elves, dwarfs and orcs. Enjoy.
We are back in this incredible world, entertained and enthralled as we follow Master Rukes and his kin on their dark and dangerous mission. It’s exciting, it’s thrilling and there is epic battles as we journey into the treacherous region of Demonhead. Action filled, adventurous, the author once again has me hooked in this world of elves, dwarves and men.
It follows Master Rukes and his kin as they venture into the dangerous mountain region of Demonhead to confront the Blood Filth Orc Legions. Their mission is to uncover a mysterious enemy responsible for the massacre of a wood elf regiment. The story is packed with intense battles and high-stakes adventure, as Rukes faces the hellscape broods of one of the orcs' most powerful strongholds.
The the plot may have been good, the grammar was not. He had typos. He need 'there' for 'their' and visa versa many fines. He had long convoluted sentences. (I read one three times and could only guess at his meaning.) I started highlighting errors and found two or more on each page .
A short but awesome and powerful story. Master Rukes and his kin have a special task, will they be able to accomplish this in time. Once you start reading, you’ll feel as if you’re a part of their adventure.
