Law of Aurornova
Law Everstorm has reached the end of his primary studies and, like most nineteen-year-olds, should be focusing on choosing a role within his colony, Fort Kelly. Cy Harold has developed a sci-fi epic that reminds me of the likes of Mass Effect. With thrilling adventures and outstanding characters such as Law, Jamie, and Chuck, we're given a story that leaves you wanting more.
My only complaint is it started off slow but as Cy is crafting a series, that's to be expected.

Your next space adventure is here!
I want to start by saying I am a sci-fi lover at heart. This book was a joy to read and did not take long to capture my attention. It felt a bit nostalgic because it kept reminding me of the Spy Kids franchise in terms of how the children were forced into a protective position of their father - loved this so much!
The characters are solid and are the driving force of this story. It is important to mention this is a debut novel, so there are bits where more information is needed to describe characters/world building and slightly repetitive wording (however this does not take you out of the story). There is a clear set up for a series here and boy oh boy do we deserve a second book after the way this one ended.
One highlight I would love to give this book is the way women are portrayed. Each female character has unique a personality, skill set, and great moments on screen. I found them to be relatable which is something that is very important to me. Its a breath of fresh air to see male and female characters playing off one another equally instead of over one another.
In the second book and ongoing, I would like to see more of the new world, possibly more creatures/animals, and more POVs. Enjoy the Law of Aurornova!

This is Cy’s debut and a very compelling story! I enjoyed the character development you see from Law as he strives to uncover the truth behind what happened to his father and who his godfather truly is. Cy has a way with creating compelling characters, and making the reader think about who they can truly trust. I enjoyed the diverse character representation, as well as the strength in the female characters, especially Jamie. Can’t wait to see where this series goes!

The most difficult part about establishing a grounded sci-fi series is creating characters you care about while keeping intriguing technology. Cy Harold has fully captured this with the debut book. I found myself fully invested into each character's growth, woes, and skillsets. Specifically the female characters in this book were so well-established and powerful. Every character in this book played a pivotal role in the ending, which left me excited for the next book.

I thoroughly enjoy this book! The genre is sci-fi, specially space exploration/settlement, but there’s also a strong element of mystery. The writing was raw, emotional, direct, and just plain fun. I connected with the three main characters, and I hope the author continues the series because I’d love to see what happens next!

The wonder of words
The Laws of Aurornova reminded me why sci-fi touched my soul as a young reader.
The world building ignites creativity on a whole other level. Give me the gadgets, give me the wirds I have to sound out. A story like that keeps hold of you forever.

The first word that comes to mind with Law of Aurornova is "captivating." It's exactly what you want from a first book: who are these people, why should we care, and what in the world is going on. The immediate chemistry between the main characters brings you in, and the plot keeps you there.
I'm really looking forward to the next installment in this promising "Cy-fi" series!
