Unleashed
Having a prince in your realm for a best friend as a child had its perks, and you were never in trouble for long when plans went a little sideways. Growing up and becoming the Royal Guard for that friend had fewer advantages—unless that prince was the wild, unpredictable rebel that Bastian was.

The Alterealm Series and The Solrelm Series (the spinoff) are such an underated series. All the character are great with such depth, the world building and the magic is so unique and interesting I'm just always surprised to never see the talked about. They are quick and predictable but always in a good way. It's a 16+ book series changing who the characters are about but they always bring them back in the next book and I absolutely love them. This one gets you one step closer to the big baddies!
