I really wanted to love the series but there is a bit to much over drama and manipulation. I liked the story but using each other is not romantic and the sadly felt not greatly developed in relationship lots of misunderstanding. the smut is good, but I am not feeling the chemistry the way i wanted, everything feels rushed and that takes away from the story. I hate the friends with benefits start and manipulation of the alpha from the omega.

HONESTLY SO CUTE AND SWEET! I like how it wasn't fast with the trauma related stuff and it was gen a healthy relationship which I love to see <3. I also love how in the end they both returned to their beloved sports. Amazing read.

If you enjoy Omegaverse stories with unique character dynamics, unexpected character growth, and an undeniably adorable baby, Surge Towards You is a solid, entertaining read!

A Unique Omegaverse Premise
Dan Yi-rim is a former Olympic-level figure skater and an Omega who considers himself defective because his body produces no pheromone scent. Yeom Cheong-ho is a professional swimmer and an Alpha suffering from an extreme aversion to typical Omega pheromones. When an accident brings them together, they discover their complementary conditions instantly boost Cheong-ho's athletic recovery—leading to a transactional bond that gradually shifts into something far deeper.

Complex Main Leads & Character Growth
Yeom Cheong-ho (The Alpha): He starts off detached, cynical, and abrasive, but his character arc is easily the highlight of the story. Driven by his own trauma, he unexpectedly becomes the one fighting hardest to make the relationship work, growing into a deeply devoted partner.

Dan Yi-rim (The Omega): Yi-rim brings great comedic relief early on with his blunt, filterless honesty that regularly stresses Cheong-ho out. While his tragic backstory adds compelling emotional depth, his choice to rely on the overused "running away" trope later in the plot temporarily slows down the momentum.

Visual Evolution & The Cutest Baby
The manhwa begins in black-and-white before making a delightful transition to full, vibrant color in Season 2. The artwork is expressive and charming, but the real star of the visuals is their baby, Yi-ho. With his chubby cheeks and sweet smiles, he easily ranks among the cutest babies in the webtoon world!

Plenty of Side Stories
With 50 main story chapters and over 30 side story chapters, the creator gives readers plenty of time to enjoy the couple's relationship progression and domestic life after their early pregnancy plotline.

Final Verdict
Despite relying on a few familiar tropes, Surge Towards You offers strong character arcs, beautiful visual growth, and endless heartwarming moments.
