I received an ARC of this book from the author. I’m a big fan of Leslie George and have read the other books in this series; I'm looking forward to the next. But since it hasn't come out yet, I’ll rate this one.
Lev and Dom are twins, and early on, Lev describes their personalities as balancing each other out. He specifically states: “I guess that made me a bad influence on him, while he was a good influence on me. So, yeah, we balanced each other out.” In this story, Lev meets his soulmate, Siena. Unfortunately, Siena is married to his arch rival, Sal Romano, an evil, sociopathic killer who is looking for any excuse to torture him. Of course, Sal forced Siena to marry him and maimed her younger brother to force her hand. Now, she has a baby who Sal uses as a device to manipulate her to do whatever he wants. This doesn’t mean he doesn’t also beat her and use rape and humiliation as a tool of control.
And then Siena meets Lev, on one of the few occasions Sal allows her to go out with her friend (for her birthday). Because he would never let her leave unsupervised, he has a few of his goons follow her and report her whereabouts, and that’s how he finds her talking to Lev. By then, Lev and Siena have already formed a connection and when she asks him for help to escape from Sal, he cannot refuse her. This leads to major problems because Sal knows that Lev assisted Siena, and Lev is faced with an impossible choice.
There is really no other way for this book to end than with someone (or more than simply some one) dying, and the ensuing war is brutal and heartbreaking and changes things forever. The emotions expressed by each of the characters (not just Lev and Siena) are realistic and will pluck your heartstrings. It’s tough to get through this book without feeling the losses almost as keenly as anyone in the story. In fact, it’s uncertain there will even be a happy ending, but of course, eventually, there is.
Zeke and Mia and Sacha and Willow make appearances. I can’t help but wonder how many more people can leave the Popov “crime” family before they lose all of their members. Perhaps, as they transition to more lawful activities, it won’t be such an issue. “Thief” is the next book in the series and this one will feature Dom. I'll be sure to read that one also.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "THUG" This story start off with action right off the bat full of angst, suspense, intrigue, abuse, rape, emotional turmoil, deceit, secrets, lies, rivals, steam, twists that keep you glued to your seat.
Lev Popov has three rules family & Bratva always first, show no weakness, never bend he & his twin brother Dominik steal a car then get stopped by their rival Salvatore Romano demanding the car, he wanted the one they stole he was breaking the truce by being in Popov's territory didn't go over well.
Sienna is married has a son Nico by Salvatore Romano forced into marriage he held her brother Gio to make her agree she wanted to go out for her birthday with her friend Laura he raped before she left.
Lev Popov was at his Club Bliss with his brother Dominik when he meets Sienna sparks fly between these two njoting themselves when all of a sudden Salvatore burst through the door his guard informed him about Sienna & Lev being together.
Sienna decides to ask Lev for his help to escape Salvatore later he finds out about her son Nico.
This is one addicting well written story you can't out down the characters were do well developed interesting, entertaining, captivating pulling you into all the action.
Will Lev & Sienna get a HEA in the end of this story so much happens your on the edge of your seat the ending will blow you away I'm so looking forward to the next book in series "THEIF" DOM'S story. AWESOME READ!!!!

Wow! This book was action filled from the first page right up until the end. Lev and Sienna are from two very different backgrounds and are not meant to be together but when they meet there is undeniable chemistry between them. The only problem is that Lev does not know that Sienna is married to his arch enemy, Sal. Lev wants to bring Sal down and Sienna wants to save her son and escape Sal’s clutches so together they do what they can to destroy Sal and his father.
Lev is sacrificing his family’s safety but he is determined to save Sienna and be with her. Sienna is a very strong and determined woman who wants revenge on Sal and his father for putting her and her brother through hell. This book had it all. There is lots of drama and passion between Lev and Sienna but only adds to the great story. I could not put this book down. Loved every moment and I look forward to reading so much more from Ms Georgeson. A page turner from beginning to end.

There was a connection between Lev and Siena from their first meeting, and nobody was more shocked than him when he learned she was married to the man who was responsible for the death of the only woman he had ever loved. Her husband was the only vicious son of a mafia rival and untouchable as far as his family was concerned. However, it only took a secret phone call from Sienna, asking for his help to escape, for him to agree. Sienna had been blackmailed into the marriage and feared for her life and the life her son would be forced to live if she remained. Lev had vowed to protect her, never asking for anything in return. I admired Lev for his determination to save her, even if it meant causing drama within his own family. This book captured my imagination from the beginning. Siena was a woman who was determined to protect her child at all costs! She was a fighter who refused to let her abusive husband break her and I was pleased when Lev and Siena had their happy ending despite all the pain they were forced to endure during their journey!

This is a story of Lev and Sienna. They come from opposing mafia groups. She is the wife of his arch enemy, the woman that is forced into marriage, tortured and humiliated by her husband, forced to stay married to him for the safety of her son. Lev meets her one night, they have instant connection, sparks fly and he is determined to save her, vowing to protect her, never asking for anything in return. I loved Lev for his determination to save her, even if it meant causing drama within his own family, loved Sienna for her determination to protect her child at all costs. This book captures readers imagination from the beginning to the very end. It’s a great page turner!

I wish I could keep clicking and adding more stars. Five is not near enough. I started this series with book one, Freak. Blew. My. Mind. I couldn't wait to read book two, Snitch. Flipping. Amazing. Once again I was anxious to jump in to the next book, this book, Thug, and once again, low and behold another incredible, addictive and entrancing storyline. I don't think any review will do this book justice. Way to go Leslie Georgeson. Way. To. Go. This entire series, exceptional. I would love to see more books to follow. Do I recommend this book/series? Oh hell yeah and then some.

Romantic Suspense at it's finest!
The writing will draw you in after only a few pages and have you finishing the book in one sitting.
There is the perfect amount of angst and romance and grit to keep you hooked.
I loved how their relationship unfolded so we could see these amazing characters grow in ways you never expected.
I would suggest picking up a copy asap, you will not be disappointed.

What a storyline this turned out to be. Each turn of the page just grabbed me that much harder it’s full of twists and turns and chemistry between the well developed characters. Lev and Siena go through so much to be together.

This is a very suspenseful book. The characters have chemistry and are well written. Lev and Siena are star crossed lovers, if not taken caution. This storyline is great. I recommend this book.

A novel about two families of opposing mafia groups. An agreement not to impose on each other. Sal from the Romanos and Lev from the Bratva are to keep away from each other. Siena is the wife of Sal, but not by choice. Her brother is alive because she agreed to marry Sal. Sal is an evil man, just like his father. Siena meets Lev and sparks fly. Siena wants to take her son and escape the torcher from Sal. This is a great page turning storyline.

Great addition to the series. Great storyline. Wonderful characters. It was great getting to see Lev's and Siena's story unfold. So many ups and downs. It shows how strong and loyal family and loved ones can be through good times and bad. Leslie always does a great job, always interesting and just a smooth great read. I recommend it to all. I received it as a gift and this is my voluntary review.

Lev and Dom were twins, Lev has had a lot of problems with Sal from another mafia group after what Sal had done to him. Sal tortured and raped his wife repeatedly, he let her go out on her birthday with her friend Laura. She innocently met Lev there and sparks flew between them until Sal. Very action packed lost time when reading this book had to see how it ended, the Popov family went through a lot. But another great book again!

On one side - the wicked are beyond bad, and leverage and winning at any price is their game. On the other side. Family is everything, which makes them vulnerable. Good does win out, but not without casualties. Love the HEA.

They're baaaaack! I'm so glad! I love the Popov Boys! They're annoying and fun and absolutely loyal to each other, the family and their girlfriends/wives. I love reading about how they want to leave the Family Business; how a strong, assertive woman challenges each one ~ in this case, Lev and Sienna ~

This is the 5th book I've read written by Leslie Georgeson; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
This is the 3rd book in the Something Real Series; it is a stand-alone book. The story is about Siena & Lev; she the wife of the Italian Mafia and his sworn enemy but when they meet he can’t help himself; he’s going to make her his.

Unbelievable story line… a rescue that couldn’t possibly happen … made the entire story unbelievable and stupid. Unfortunately not like a fantasy but just made story read poorly…. Not worth the read I moved on to the next story at 36% finish of the book
