Really funny crime drama. MC Chi Qing suffers extreme mysophobia after awakening a mind-reading ability when he was kidnapped as a child. Through his useless therapy attempts and his childhood-friend-turned-cop he repeatedly encounters a single person he can't read: former crime consultant and confirmed-psychopath* Xie Lin. Due to Chi Qing's mindreading ability (and his desire to use Xie Lin to block out the onslaught of everyone else's thoughts), he gets caught up in solving crime, becoming Xie Lin's assistant.

(* I would like to add here that the novel/characters state Xie Lin is a psychopath - imo he doesn't fit nearly enough of the criteria. Is he weird? Sure. Is he psychologically stable? Probably not. But I have yet to read anything over the course of 2+ books to make me think he's either a clinical psychopath or sociopath.)

This can be dark in places - it doesn't shy away from describing the crimes taking place, including animal torture and cruelty, and a serial rapist-killer. However it can also be very lighthearted in the clashes between the two leads with "dangerous personalities" (the novel title translates to 'dangerous personality'), the misunderstandings that occur as a result of Chi Qing keeping his ability secret, etc.

I'm enjoying it a lot (and am quietly mad that less than half the full series has been translated into English yet). This could potentially wind up a 5 star series, it depends how it develops.

Ý là không dở nhưng cũng không quá xuất sắc, thiên về hài nhiều hơn còn vụ án thì không ấn tượng.
Cơ mà nghĩ còn tới 2 cuốn nữa mới hết thì thấy mất hứng thú quá, sẽ không mua nốt để đọc nên thôi drop từ bây giờ cho xong.
