I enjoyed this... (hey self, don't judge me, sometimes we like trashy books... even REALLY trashy books).
I can't explain myself because there were some MAJOR red flags in this book... but I still had so much fun reading it. I'm not even sure the writing was that good.
Here's the deal.
Kennedy is a Masters student when her friend convinces her to let loose and go to a club together. She sleeps with a good-smelling alpha and, oops, ends up preggers.
Turns out the baby daddy gave her a false name AND immediately changed his phone number afterwards so she couldn't let him know that he was going to be a dad.
If it weren't for one thing, this could have been such a cute single parent romance. All of the guys are amazing dads and so caretaking. I loved all the baby cuddles and adorable caretaking.
Do NOT read if you cannot stand pregnancies and babies in a book. And do NOT read if manwhores who screw other women after they've met their perfect match would bother you.
SPOILERS AND RANTS COMING!!!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . This douche canoe alpha doesn't want to grow up and feels like he should dip his nasty 🍆 in all the women. His pack has discussed not dating omegas until they can all date one together. But... Kennedy smells good so he decides to give her a dippy-dip. They have a good time, but he immediately moves on and forgets her.
MEANWHILE... she is a struggling single mom trying to finish her degree with VERY little support. She has an AMAZING friend who helps out from time to time (the same one that dragged her out to the club in the first place) but doesn't really have much more support.
While Kennedy is studying one day, she meets a cute nerdy alpha who is also studying in the library. He asks her out and she makes sure he knows that she has a kid. It doesn't matter to him because he likes her and he is willing to love her baby, too. He gets to know her, dates her, and then, oops, gets her preggers. He's always been meaning to have her meet his pack because they had discussed they wanted to date an omega together.
On the day he brings her home for the first time, she meets his pack, along with the MANWHORE who knocked her up. He not only is Eli's packmate, he also has a woman he was sleeping with WHILE the HEROINE IS DOWNSTAIRS!!!!! Yep, on the day that his packmate brings their future partner home, the fuckboy manchild walking STI/D is sleeping with another woman who he parades past his baby mama.
Yes, he didn't know that she was his baby mama yet... but he DID know that she was important to his packmate and Eli wanted to introduce them. Until he finds out that he is a bio-dad, Storm is the GROSSEST, MOST DISGUSTING MANWHORE of all time.
I loved Eli, Micha, and Charlie... and if Kennedy could have ended up with them and NOT Storm, I would have been so much happier.
Though, there were other things that were a bit bizarre/ridiculous even outside of Storm's absolute nastiness.
1. Kennedy is a bit dumb. I didn't understand why she didn't talk about contraception or disease when she slept with Storm. She's picking up a total stranger and she immediately lets him screw and knot her without a condom!? Or even a discussion!? But then... the SAME THING HAPPENS AGAIN WITH ELI!!!! She doesn't ask about diseases and doesn't talk about contraception. HE talks about contraception with her and she's all "no biggie, I got it covered". 🙄 ALSO, she has to be told she might be pregnant BOTH TIMES! I get it with the first time. We've all had the flu. I've got a friend who didn't realize she was pregnant. I kept asking her and she was all "nah, I couldn't be" but she was. But Kennedy has been pregnant before after unprotected sex. So, when she was the EXACT SAME SYMPTOMS you'd think she would ask herself, "hm? Might I be experiencing the same outcome as last time?" But no... she doesn't even realize she might be pregnant until a friend asks her about it.
2. The over the top other woman drama. Storm is SO good in bed and SO handsome that women are stalking him left and right. This ends up causing some major issue later. Storm actually ends up being a pretty good dad. I wouldn't have wanted him as a partner... I at least would have wanted to quarantine him for some years until I had made sure he didn't bring me all the icks from the gazillion women he's been screwing without protection.
3. One of the other alphas gets upset when he thinks Kennedy might have slept with other men while she was pregnant. He learns that she was really horny and questions who she might have slept with. It's funny that he's MORE upset that she might have slept with others than he is at his packmate who slept with a metric ton of other women while NOT KNOWING HE HAD KNOCKED UP THEIR FUTURE OMEGA AND IGNORING HER!!! Turns out Kennedy didn't sleep with anyone else... cause why would she when she's a woman!? (I personally don't have a problem with people who choose not to sleep around... but I find it ridiculous that one of her alphas is more upset about having other men sleep with HER than he is about his manwhore of a packmate likely bringing in STI/Ds into their relationship AND being an all-around douchebag).
4. Let's go back to Storm. He meets his scent match (Kennedy), gets her pregnant, and forgets her. He barely even knows who she is when they meet again. The ONLY reason he stops having sex with other women is because he judges himself harshly for not being a good dad. Because HE IS A HYPOCRITE.
a. Storm judged his sister for getting pregnant young (but he does NOTHING to protect the women he's with from a similar outcome). b. Storm supposedly HATES the man that knocked his sister up because he ghosted her and didn't take care of her (oh, ya... he did that, too.) c. Storm gets upset that Eli is dating an omega without the rest of the pack because "they discussed dating an omega together and only dating betas until they were ready for their omega". Uh. HE "dated" an omega and didn't even mention it to his pack. He knocked up an omega and didn't even know. And he has the GALL to be upset!? d. We learn that Storm is "changed" and he's all in. How does the author show us? Well, she has him bash all the other women he's been with. They smell bad and how could have have lowered himself to be with those skanks and not this perfect omega. Why must we have women bashing!? He was a manwhore who felt like he would be deprived if he couldn't have all the meaningless sex he wanted and treat women like disposable fleshlights. Why did the author have to act as if him looking down on puck bunnies and other "desperate" women was a good sign!? It doesn't make me like him anymore than I did before. The ONLY thing that made Storm somewhat okay is how much he loved on his daughter and did all he could to have a loving relationship with her.
5. The over the top "mean girl". Seriously, who would drop drugs in a mom's purse and try to get her expelled, arrested, and have her child taken away!? It was so crazy. I cannot even.
6. Using betas as placeholders/sex objects before they met their future omega? Infuriates me to act like women in one designation aren't worthy of care.
Why do I want to read Sunny's book? I don't know. I do.
I was surprised by the tame amount of sex in this book, considering. The guys take their time to get to know Kennedy and she's usually the one jumping them.
I do appreciate that she was getting a masters. I have no idea why she'd plan on getting a PhD, other than the author wanted to make her look smart.

3.5 🌟 the thing about me is I ADORE a pregnancy trope! (I know!) And this was an easy reading, fluffy secret baby OV that delivered. Would’ve loved it more had the baby daddy bit and character been a bit more refined and had less OW drama. The guys kept calling the baby girl “little miss” which kept taking me out, these were college guys not like middle class British professors in sweater vests here.
-1 female omega, 4 male Alphas -No MM -preg -some silly OW drama -character sleeps w other women after FMC during separation, ONS but no cheating when they are reunited and in relationship -college age + -🌶️🌶️🌶️ DP, spicy chatting, no BDSM -distinct characters -two females character in spin offs, one to follow in same series, one just published in a firehouse going to add them to tbr
This definitely wasn't a traditional Omegaverse novel and focused more on the cozy aspects of the relationship between Omegas and Alphas. Like how Alphas like to care for their Omega and becoming a pack. Their designations weren't really in the foreground and wasn't something that was brought up as often as you would expect in this genre. This reverse harem features a MFMM relationship, so no sword crossing here, which is a real bummer. There wasn't even a decent heat scene in this story! It was more like they fast forwarded all the good chunks of the heat leaning towards a closed door romance. Only like a 1.5/5 for any spice. Which is definitely why I took a star off it's rating. This book absolutely could have used more smut. It also was only loosely related to hockey, so that part was a little misleading. You would think it would be all about and revolve around hockey given the title. At least they go to a couple hockey games to link that in. What I really loved about this book is the focus on the FMC being a bad ass single mom AND still getting her masters degree. She's fucking killing it and I love to see that. Sure, it's nice that she has support for her almost one year old and support for her second pregnancy; but she definitely could have done it on her own and she didn't NEED a man (or men) to help her. Seriously, an icon. She really deserved to be pampered and spoiled after all she's been through and it was so nice to see Kennedy get her HEA.
Obviously I liked this book and was here for it but what I really do NOT understand why Kennedy wouldn't absolutely insist on using a condom either time she sleeps with a guy from Pack Daniels. First and foremost, even if you thought it was hard to get pregnant outside of a heat, STD's are still very much a thing. She hooked up with a random stranger and didn't make him wrap it before it tapped it?! That's just ignorant and reckless. Then like 8 months later, unbeknownst to her, she hooks up with another member of Pack Daniels (though not a random hook up but someone she had gotten to know and trusted) and demands that he "fill her up with his cum" insisting that it will be fine because she's on strong birth control. Bitch! I do not care how strong that shit it, it still isn't 100% effective and with your track record you should keep that shit on lock. It kinda checks out that she got pregnant AGAIN because she isn't taking ANY kind of precautions. You can have fun AND be smart.
This book sounded so good, but I was really reluctant to read it. This author has been firmly on my "never read again" list for quite some time. However, I was desperate for an omegaverse read, so I decided to give this author another chance.
Unfortunately, this story left me feeling annoyed, anxious, and sad.
Take a moment to imagine yourself as a single mom. Your entire identity revolves around being a mother. You used to be a person with thoughts, dreams, and feelings, but now everything in your life centers around your children. Because they don’t have another parent to support them, and because you love them, your needs come second—always.
But then you meet the most sexy, alluring, kindhearted man on the planet, and he adores your children. Sounds great, right? Except… he really loves your kids. Every gift he gives you is related to or specifically for your children. Every date is planned around entertaining them. Every moment he spends with you is, at its core, about them. Yes, he treats you well and respects you—because you and your children are a package deal. But deep down, you start to wonder if he really cares about you for yourself.
You had hoped this man would see the person beyond the role of Mom. That he would help you remember that you are a woman, too. That he would love and treasure you like the beautiful female you don't feel like anymore. But no. He is mostly interested in Mom. He loves your children, and he’s nice to you. I guess that’s the best a mom can hope for.
Depressing, right? That’s exactly what this book felt like.
As a single mom myself, I did not appreciate how the pack was “courting” Kennedy. Every single gift the guys gave her was something that would benefit the baby or was specifically for the baby. Every date was planned around entertaining their daughter. Every moment spent together revolved around parenting. And then—occasionally—they had sex. The only person in the pack who seemed to truly care for Kennedy as a woman was Eli.
Also, there is no way this author is a parent. Using an “angry other woman” to create drama is one thing. But throwing in her malicious actions leading to Child Protective Services getting involved and threatening to take Kennedy’s children? Absolutely not okay. There is a very good reason other authors don't use this as a plot device!!
You know how some series start off a little shaky and then get better with each book. Yeah, this series is the opposite of that. Each book has gotten progressively blander and with less character development. I mean it's irksome that there are so many sayings and traits that are recycled in each book. The nail in the coffin was in this book, the third of the series, the omega loves and ends up playing scrabble with one of the alphas. Just like the omega in books one and two.
Also, and unfortunately, there is unequal investment given in each of the alphas (As in all the books). There will be one, maybe two alphas that will be the "main" characters driving the story and relationship, with the other alphas just in the periphery. Even worse it seems like the author has these cookie cutter roles of alphas that seem to get recycled in each book. I.e. "the all-in protector", "the jokester", "the problem/fuck up" to name the big three.
Then adding salt in the wound, one of my biggest pet peeves is not really describing or depicting the alphas well, let alone good enough to really tell them apart. I'm a visual reader and when things are written like hair color, eye color, build, facial hair etc. the characters are just blurs in my mind. Not memorable at all. I can only recall, one alpha in the last book with white-blonde hair and one with red, and one alpha in this one had glasses. Out of 11 total alphas over 3 books that's not good.
I liked the premise of the books, and how each one was different, but I feel like there really needs to be a step up in the story telling for these to be good going forward. I'm invested in the omega characters that will feature in future books in the series so I'm hoping things get much better from here.
This sucked me in almost instantly. I loved the natural progression of her relationship with each of the guys.
This is a sweet, insta-lust pregnancy and single mum romance. With a good grovel from the resident reformed man wh*re of the pack lol
If you like the above, you'll love this.
If i had to nit pick, the only question I have is, how do 4 uni students afford to not only own an apartment within walking distance from a uni but to renovate it? 😅 We only get to meet Storm's twin and hear from Michas mum, but from that, they're from comfortable wealthy families, not rich ones, so I'd like to know their secret
Thing is nothing actually happens expect for Kennedy having babies.
What does Kennedy actually look like?? For a book this slow I would have thought I'd have feels but it's all really sort of mehhhh... Will this book be memorable to me? No.
The MMCs are forgettable, they don't stand out. It's a problem if I can't even pick out a character I like.
I suppose I'm used to more thrilling reads.
3 stars because I got to the end still waiting for something, anything to happen. The blurb sold more than it delivered.
Melissa Huxley has quickly become one of my all time fave Omegaverse authors.. and I loooove the pregnancy aspect of Omegaverse so the Pucking Pregnant series is just right up my ally.
Ive really enjoyed the last two in the series, but this one just scratched an itch I didn’t realize I even needed scratched😂
Kennedy has a ONS with hockey playboy, Storm. He, being a moron, gives her the name of one of his pack mates, and then changes his number without thinking shortly after their ONS so when she finds out she’s pregnant, she has no way to reach him to tell him, and despite searching she can’t find him (….because his name wasnt Charlie.😂🤦🏻♀️)
So 18 months later, Kennedy has a sweet 8 month old daughter, is almost finished with her Masters and meets Eli one night when she’s studying at the library. Eli is *immediately* smitten with Kennedy, and sh’es shocked that an Alpha would want to date her— an omega single mother. But Eli falls for her fast, and his packmate Micah does as well when Kennedy gets sick and needs help caring for herself and her daughter, Charlotte.
But soon Kennedy finds out shes pregnant AGAIN with Eli’s baby so Eli takes her and Charlotte to meet the rest of his pack and LO AND BEHOLD.. “Charlie” (aka Storm) IS THERE. The fake name he gave her? ACTUALLY one of the names of his pack mates!
Of course Kennedy is ANGRY. And honestly so is the rest of Storm’s pack. It’s time for Storm to grow up, and watching him do so over the course of the rest of the book is absolutely wonderful. He truly loves Charlotte and Kennedy… and even though the courting is fast because of the situation it just felt right and natural. Melissa did such a great job with this entire series but this book I think the characters had even better growth and depth and I really really enjoyed the premise— its not something I’ve seen before in any RH romance book, Omegaverse or otherwise.
I loved each guy in the pack, too. Eli is a hot nerd who I LOVE.. Storm got his head out of his butt and became a great pack member and Alpha AND dad.. Micah was totally enamored with Charlotte from day one which endeared him to me like crazy, and Charlie was really the glue that held everyone together and had such a dirty mouth😂
5 stars, and I really hope Melissa writes even more books in this series!!
I'm going to soft dnf this one. I really hate leaving books unread but I'm having a big problem with one of the MMC's actions. I think it's better I take a break.
Usually the pregnancy trope is not my cup of tea, but when Melissa Huxley does it in her omegaverses I eat it up every time. Kennedy got pregnant through birth control from a one night stand with a dude who gave her a wrong name and a disconnected phone number, so our strong little omega has to juggle single parenthood and studying - and she does great - which takes away time for romance. When she meets an alpha whilst studying in the library who is immediately besotted, she’s a bit comprehensive but gives it a shot. Her stronger birth control seems to also have decided that she needs another baby, so when Eli introduces his pregnant Kennedy to the pack, everyone is hyped - until ghosting babydaddy one comes downstairs. Will he repent? Will he grovel? Will all of them have their HEA?
I genuinely loved Eli, he’s so good to her and so sweet and exactly what she needs. Micha’s baby cuddles warmed my heart, it was so endearing. I loved how Storm tried his best, got his shit together, brought Sunny into the mix for extra support for Kennedy, grew as a person. They were all so genuinely good to her and it was beautiful. All in all, this was a very fun very cosy omegaverse and i really enjoyed it.
I STARTED SKIMMING AT 53% and DNF AT 73%. This book gave absolutely nothing. It was good at first, but went downhill. After reading some of the reviews I just decided to call it on this one.
Also, I really don’t like this kind of omegaverse- where the actual “omegaverse” aspect seems to come second to the contemporary genre. I know there is so much leeway with this genre and authors can do whatever they want in their own universe but it just felt so lackluster!
Also- I feel like since this is a world with alphas, Vegas and omegas with packs revolving multiple alphas who share one omega, it seems weird that one of the characters (who was thrown in for OW drama) would refer to the fmc as Storms’s “pack mates bad choice” and call her child a bastard because she thought the baby was somebody else’s from the pack. Would it matter if it was? All of the alphas are supposed to her the baby’s father anyway. Idk. It was annoying
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
In the beginning i thought this might atleast be somewhat alright but honestly i just mustered up enough courage to finish this. It’s corny but not in a good way. Very Wattpad and made me feel dumb af. Like it’s okay if it’s on occasion but i seriously don’t need to know the day to day of characters in detail with them just hanging around the house or doing their duty, could have rather focused on creating real connections between the characters and building good chemistry (which was clearly not the case). The overall construction and plot buildup was not upto my expectations. Also tf was that villain trope? (That puck bunny) it was so unnecessary
Surprise Mother Pucker, book 3 in the Pucking Pregnant series, by Melissa Huxley @melissahuxleyauthor.
This was a great a book about Kennedy, Storm, Eli, Micha & Charlie! Tropes: Contemporary, Omegaverse, Hockey, One Night Stand, Unplanned Baby, Hockey Playboy, College Students, Surprise Pregnancy, Second Chance, Light Groveling, Found Family & HEA!
sometimes a girl needs a dramatic pregnancy plot ok
this had everything i was looking for to get out of a slump, i normally don’t read pregnancy tropes unless im absolutely craving them and this one helped 😌
the only thing is i didn’t feel a connection between the fmc and a couple of the mmcs. it definitely felt like she had a closer bond to two of the guys, so it felt like the other two weren’t as needed to the storyline 😥
i also was hoping for more groveling and talking between her & a certain alpha but it still ended okay! i’m curious about a certain omegas storyline though 👀
ARC Review! I loved this book! It was a fresh take on the pregnancy trope. You get some good spice right away but the writing and introduction of characters made it so I couldn’t put it down! Eli is the perfect book boyfriend for Kennedy with the perfect amount of confidence, humor, and light hearted banter. If you love a good redemption and a bit of groveling you’ll get that fix in this book too! Love the special connections the FMC has with each of the MMCs and the gradual build of the pack. Even the side characters in this book were fun and make me want to know their stories! HEA guaranteed! Highly recommend!
This one was twisted but made for a really fun read! I didn’t like all the time jumps (that’s somewhat of a pet peeve of mine) but I understood why they happened. I really enjoyed all of the characters & just the whole book itself was enjoyable to read!
Surprise Mother Pucker is definitely my favorite in the series so far! Eli is absolutely the best alpha — he’s got everything you could want in a hero. I loved every moment of this story! ❤️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ HEA? yes 3rd act break-up? no 🌶🌶🌶🌶/5
“Your mama is cute…Now I need to figure out how to make her like me.” Because I liked her, already. I liked her a lot.
Surprise Mother Pucker is the third instalment in the adult why choose omegaverse romance series, Pucking Pregnant. Each novel is set in the same world but follows a separate pack. It is encouraged to read in order. Written in multi first person POV the story follows Kennedy, a young and single Omega determined to pursue her education against all odds...until a one night stand leads to a baby and a baby daddy she is unable to locate. When she finally is able to get a routine balancing work, single parenting life, and her education she finds herself drawn to the dating scene thanks to a charming Alpha and one thing leads to another and SURPRISE another baby is on the way...except this alpha is determined to build a life with Kennedy and his pack seems just as interested. Yet just when all things are turning up Kennedy discovers baby daddy one is alive and well - and a member of the pack out to court her.
Okay this book is pure insanity...but that is what I wanted.
Kennedy has not necessarily had the best childhood and she wants to build a better life. She's young and she makes mistakes but she refuses to be a victim and I admired that.
The pack she finds herself entangled with consist of Storm, the original baby daddy, who is a hockey bro not fully ready initially to let go of her party days (this changes quickly). Eli is the alpha that Kennedy begins dating after having Charlotte and he is a sweetheart and a doctoral candidate - he is definitely the most mature and embraces the family he is entering. Charlie and Micha are two other alphas within the pack that are drawn to Kennedy as Eli shows how serious he is about building something with Kennedy. They are both sweethearts in wanting to take care of Kennedy while also loving baby Charlotte.
This book does have spice - I would say 5 spicy peppers out of 5 spicy peppers. There are about 6 spicy scenes with the first appearing around the 5% mark. There is instant connection and there is a one night stand that starts this story. The spice progresses in explicit and detailed descriptions as more alphas begin building something with Kennedy. This is also a traditional why choose with the men focused only on Kennedy and being with her but occasionally they do help each other out to help facilitate something to Kennedy's pleasure. I thought the spice was well written - expect fluids, knotting, heat, and more.
The story itself is kind of all other the place with a single mom in school trying to survive, accidental pregnancy TWICE, and the cutesy element of pack courtship. There is some angst brought in by Storm because of how he hurt Kennedy as well as some hockey fanatics who take extreme measures because they don't believe Kennedy is for real - they take it a bit too far. This book very much focuses on supporting Kennedy raising her baby and these men become very focused on supporting that so expect lots of baby and kids related elements. I felt the book was easy to dive into and I have a lot of fun diving in. The ending is super sweet in the end and tied everything up.
Overall, if you want an extra sweet omegaverse with a pack utterly devoted then this is a great Kindle Unlimited read!
Not sure why it has this title since hockey doesn't really have much to do with the book. One of the guys plays college hockey, but it's hardly in the book.
There is a lot of pregnancy in this one. I mean, I get that that is the point, but she starts out pregnant, has the kid, and is almost immediately pregnant again (even with BC?). And she's always miserable. She spends most of her time sick, or whining with swollen ankles. Having had two kids, I can agree that happens for a while, but there are a bunch of other cool and exciting things as well, but since this doesn't mention any of them, it feels pointless to have in here except to cause the FMC depression, which is not enjoyable. This may sound nitpicky, but there was only one mention of one of the guys rubbing her belly and making a deal out of feeling the baby move. If these guys are so enamored with her while she's pregnant, why are they never rubbing her belly? Why do they never discuss baby names? Why are there never any phone calls with their families to tell them the happy news? Why aren't they buying maternity clothes with her or baby clothes? Why does only one of them go to an OB appointment with her if it's a "pack thing" and they all consider themselves to be a daddy? It felt more like the baby was an excuse instead of a reason, does that make sense? It just wasn't warm and gooey enough for me to consider it fluff. In fact, it was so depressing that I won't read it again.
I have to agree with other reviewers who said that there are two MMCs and then 2 other pack members. While everyone had a chapter to have an opinion, it wasn't equal. Eli was definitely the MMC, and he was wonderfully written for the first almost half of the book. But then the other members were introduced, and he very quickly got pushed to the side for Storm. Storm is a manwhore in the first half of the book, and I hated him. Sure, he makes a turnaround when he finds out he's a dad, but the FMC makes a good point that he never would have cared for her or becoming a better male if he hadn't knocked her up. I mean, he comes down the stairs to meet her, holding onto a puck bunny while being hung over, knowing full well she was going to be there. That's pretty abysmal.
There are only like five sex scenes in the book, and she gets knocked up in two of them. My biggest problem with that is they don't even bond until the VERY END, 98% into the book. Part of the excitement about OV (omegaverse) books is the bonding. Nobody even mentions it until the drama goes down.
I was just super disappointed with this one. It started out strong and just went downhill fast. The OW drama was fine at first, but quickly delved into unbelievable. If there had been mention of the woman stalking Storm, talking to him, not leaving him alone, etc., then it would have been more believable.
This book has all of the things that I love to read. I am a big fan of pregnancy stories, omegaverses, and hockey romances and this is all three. I don’t know what it is about the surprise pregnancy/ strong single mom trope but I really enjoyed reading this story. This trope is even better when it involves a pack because it definitely lead to some great growth and some superb groveling from one of the pack members. This book was the perfect sweet and funny omegaverse. I loved reading about this sweet pack and this strong, driven FMC that can do just about anything. I have become a big fan of Huxley’s omegaverses and this series is a favorite. I enjoy reading the different ways that she writes the pregnancy trope. I thought that this such an entertaining read and was able to finish it fairly quickly because even though it was a decent length, it read smoothly and easy.
Kennedy was exactly what the perfect omega should be. She is the perfect example of how omegas don’t have to be weak. She is strong, intelligent, and driven despite the fact that she is also a fertile myrtle. She doesn’t let the fact that she is a single mom hold her back and still is able to pursue her dreams by getting her degrees. The pack was such a great group of guys. I actually really enjoy a character like Storm. Yeah, he makes some stupid decisions, but characters like that are perfect because we get to see their growth throughout the book. He had to grow to be worthy. He is the one bump in the pack. The rest of the alphas are perfect for Kennedy. I love seeing the development of this family and how Kennedy gets what she deserves. Eli was absolutely perfect. I just adore a wonderful cinnamon roll alpha.
Even if you aren’t a fan of the pregnancy trope, the way Huxley writes them definitely makes it worth reading. Like most omegaverses, this book is filled with plenty of spice, but I never felt that the spice was so much that it overshadowed the plot. This book was very entertaining and even though I have read my fair share of omegaverses, I never felt that I was bored with the story. Huxley does an amazing job of writing sweet, swoony alphas, alphas that need a little kick in the butt, and omegas that are strong, independent, and driven to be amazing women.
