Don't judge a book by its cover. Where is my T-Rex, my Ankylosaurs or my Triceratops?
We have some travellers that jump through a wormhole into another planet full of ... well ... what ever the author felt like putting in there. Unfortunately, the plot became very difficult to uncover. Maybe there wasn't one. Our travellers seemed to be constantly making little side journeys that made no sense. Like Ishi, a native from an island across the sea, who took a few the travellers back to his tropical home. Weird!
I expected lots of dinosaurs duking it out with us puny humans in Book 1, but got none of that. Same for this book; no dinosaurs I recognised from the cover. Ripped off! The writing style is a bit lumpy, but there's plenty of action, so maybe that's what a lot of folks want. Not me. I want T-Rex's chasing hapless maidens through the jungle.
This guy has become my favorite author. Book 2 of the Lost Eden series picks up where Book 1 left off. Now a new team has arrived, facing new dangers including one from within. Who will survive the 2nd 17 days in this dangerous place? Well written like all of Mr. Inmon's books, this won't disappoint!
I read book 1 and liked it. Now finished book 2 and love it. Will continue until done with series because it pulled me in and I bonded with the characters. You will too.
This was an exciting second book in the lost Eden series. I enjoyed the story, there was action adventure in the story moved quickly. An ensemble cast, but happily there were characters. There were good and easy to root for. Was sorry that almost all of the characters die in the story, but I really like Spade , Ben and Gord. Ben’s little monkey friend Hunnan is fun. Not sure where the story will go from here now that certain events happened in the last couple of paragraphs. But I will definitely be picking up the next one .
I was hit by a barrage of emotions! Fear, terror, horror and yes, even laughter. But I can tell you in all honesty that I AM SO GALD THAT I WILL NEVER HAVE TO GO TO THAT PLACE!!! But I can't wait to read the next book in this trilogy. What a brain you have Shawn Inmon!
Both of the lost Eden books were exciting and I yearned for them to be longer, just so I wouldn't finish them. The teams struggles to survive were wonderfully written causing me to cheer them on, except for the jerks and sad when someone didn't. Can't wait for book 3! & a special unexpected character.
This is really an exciting series! Ben,Spade, Gordon, and that monkey are all well written characters. It's going to make me crazy waiting until next year for the 3rd book to come out.
A world of unbelievable horror awaits anyone crossing a portal to a world with real dinosaurs. Backstabbing bad guys and good guys you can root for. I'd love to see the movie.
Just when what's left of the first team is ready to go through the portal. Animus Corporation sends through a new team blocking Menendez from going through. The new teams ready to conquer Lost Eden, doesn't take them long to change their minds.
I’m not great at writing reviews, but I leave them as a testament to the excellent writing, drama and suspense that the authors themselves have created. Each moment is fraught with peril, action, and vivid imagery in the world of Lost Eden.
Characters do not seem real Physical laws, like light speed, are ignored without any explanation. I cannot imagine wanting to read another in this series
