Forsaken. Feared. Forgotten.

When the Grand Council Emissary officially sanctions the Montague and Strong Detective Agency, with Monty and Simon officially declared magus non grata—rogue mages, their world is shattered, figuratively and literally.

Haven, The NYTF, the Dark Council, all of the mage sects and neutral locations worldwide have been instructed to treat them as outcasts.
Anyone assisting them in any way will suffer the most extreme of consequences—erasure and death.

Now, with the help of the Ten, Monty and Simon must confront the Emissary of the Grand Council and his schemes.

They will discover that being outcasts doesn’t mean being alone.

It means that when everything is at its darkest, some will still stand by you, shining the light of defiance.

Amazing story!

Outcast by Orlando A. Sanchez is the best so far! What can Simon and Monty do now that the Grand Council has officially sanctioned them? Who can they turn to? And how can they protect their friends and family? There are some new characters and some of your favorites like TK, LD, Grey, and of course Dex.
This story has a lot of action and a great plot. I didn’t want to put it down. Definitely a must read!

Another outrageous romp with the Terrible Trio. It's funny, but every time Simon starts blathering he comes across as an idiot. (he isn't)
The Grand Council have decided something has to be done about Dex. They're not brave (crazy?) enough to take him on so they send their lackeys after M & S, Dex's weak link. Fun and destruction ensue.

Per usual there was lots of Simon being a wiseass. Shockingly Monty had some moments as well. A snarky Monty is a good thing. We got a lot of cameos. I wish we had actually gotten one character instead of just the mention of them. In the author notes Orlando said that the 10 will have their own book. That is going to be great. I want to learn more about TK, especially her time with Badb. I look forward to the next story.

Simon, Monty and our beloved Peaches were at Dex's battle school, training for God only knows what's to come. Simon got tricky, sneaky with poor Peaches and his insatiable appetite and fed him healthy meat. Oh! The Deathane that rolled out of the maze! And then here comes Dex with the bad news, more bad guys coming because of his actions. So our boys are off to home to pack and plan when all heck breaks loose! Their home is destroyed around them! Even reinforced as much as Monty was able wasn't enough against the Grand Council's emissary. What a jerk. And so the battle is on! Our boughs are labelled Outcast, wanted dead. The Ten step in as do the Midnight Echelon to protect and defend our guys. Monty assumes a mantle once more to try to even the odds, but this battle is far from over and our guys must walk a fine line, hidden, searching for a goddess who doesn't want to be found, so.done who can track the untrackable and so knows how to stay hidden. Can they do it? Who's on their side? Can they stay safe and find what's needed? And does everyone survive the Deathane? Better read and find out!

Outstanding! So many cool new types of characters get introduced in these stories, and they're not always the good guys. Here we have Alain, an Emissary of the Grand Council, and a powerful, crafty opponent sent to erase and eliminate Monty and Simon, who have been declared rogue mages. I loved the themes of loyalty and determination that were carried through this story and the appearance of some of the Ten. Monty isn't even the prime target for the Grand Council, it's his Uncle Dex. But as a direct relative, and one who is accused of supporting Dex, Monty is declared rogue and scheduled for erasure. Anyone found helping Monty or Dex is liable to be erased. Of course, Simon won't stand idly by when his found family, Peaches, and home are threatened. But it will take everything bit of power, planning, and single minded resolve they have to even hope to take on the cunning and powerful Alain and his minions and survive. If you like urban fantasy with and action packed story and tension right up until the end, dive into this story!

A Must Read

Wow. Just. Wow. This book is intense from the first page til the last page. It starts with Simon and Peaches having to run a training course at Dex's school. Soon Dex's sends them home with a dire warning that trouble is coming for him and it will come after them too. Simon and Monty are visited by a Magistrate and by the time he reads his edict they realize they are Outcasts. The ten step in to help showing that they are not bound by the edict. The conversation between Simon and Grey's about Grey's coffee made me laugh.

This book has light, laugh out loud moments, intense you need to keep reading moments, what the neck just happened moments. Orlando Sanchez is an amazing story teller. When I realized I was at the end my first thought was NO I don't want it to be the end.

I highly recommend that you read this book. I recommend you read everything written by Orlando Sanchez. I can't wait for the next S,M&P book.

For Monty and Simon, Dex's latest actions have caught them in a battle for their lives. This story will teleport you into the action as our Trio faces its strongest adversary to date. It's good that they have some powerful allies to help them along the way. Simon will be forced to come to some important realizations about his life now and in the future, along with how much they will need to grow in power to face what will be coming their way. Peaches is his lovable self, imparting wisdom and saliva along the way. I enjoyed escaping into this world and spending time with the characters in this story.
Now sit down, open this book, and prepare for the fast-paced action.

Another Great M&S Installment

This is another great M&S installment in an exceptional series. When your Uncle Dexter Montague decides to “relocate” an entire sect of mages, the Golden Circle, there is bound to be some consequences. Unfortunately, Monty is the recipient of some of that blowback. The Grand Council wants to Erase both Monty and Dex. Strong, Aspe of Monty Montague, his family, his brother, will not allow this to happen without a fight. Orlando Sanchez does it again. This is another great addition to the M&S story and I highly recommend it.

who is Simon Strong? 5+⭐️

Monty has always understood who and what he is. Simon has become a little overwhelmed by who he is and what he may or may not be but he understands family either by blood or found and no one hurts his family.

The chase has reach its next level who is still safe to call for help?

Where do things progress to when it’s the Council who want you to disappear?

Excellent instalment, can wait to read the next part.

Meat is life, or is it Deathwish coffee?

Sanchez Levels Up - again

Amazing...
Twenty-four novels in and still fresh. The author continues making the reader feel like a part of the M&S family as it evolves and expands. I recommend this series to anyone interested in experiencing the peak of quality urban fantasy. Valkyries, gods, smartasses & mages; throw in a helllhound and some sentient swords... what's not to like!?

Sorry, Simon!

Simon needs a vacation after this wild ride. Uncle Dexter kicked over a hornet's nest with the Golden Circle, and our favorite trio is in the cross hairs of the Grand Counsel. Sometimes it's good to have powerful Friends! (No Spoilers! Or no extra Meat!)

Beware of falling Preaches!
Looking forward to what comes next!

Outstanding

Less put this as short and simple as I can. This is one outstanding adventure. It has you on the edge of your seat from the first word until the end. Calling outstanding really doesn’t do it justice. The best read I have had in a long time. Long live Montague and Strong and don’t forget Peaches.

buy it -

The thing I hate about Sanchez’s novels are their brevity. I dread coming to the end. On the bright side tho, he writes as fast as humanly possible. 🫶🏼 I would love to have more depth - speaking as a long-time reader of his, the two main characters, Monty and Simon, could use downtime and there’s so much to explore in their world. Plz add more!

Another win!

Once again Orlando Sanchez delivers a winner. Monty, Simon and Peaches face an even more formidable foe thrust upon them by the powers that be. Battles cannot be averted or sidestepped thanks to Simon's mouth. He is a tad slow on the uptake but his heart is in the right place: with his family.

Simon and Monty are now 'magus non grata'. The only people they can turn to for help are other outcasts. Good thing that includes serious heavy-hitters like the Ten.
Fun read, and it sets us up for a big showdown in the future.

War?

The 24th book in the Montague and Strong Case Files. I don’t quite know how to describe this remarkable world that Orlando has created. The philosophy, the humor the insight into the human mind and condition is incredible. Go forward Simon, Monty and Peaches

Tries too hard

Good series, but needs new lines. Please stop mentioning Death Wish (extra repetitions), javambrosia, and Australian Buloke what seems like every chapter. None of these things are good or funny enough to mention several times each book.

Great entry into the series. Strong still complains too much but he is finally learning to use his powers, it only took 20 or so books. Great story with a great battle finale. Can't wait to see what is next for MS&P!
