A break sounds good after the stresses of this long mission, but trouble follows the Science Officer everywhere he goes.

When four pirate squadrons drop out of jump, Suvi has to run, leaving Javier and Djamila behind on the surface.

Suvi and Zakhar will have to go to war. With all the pirates. Everywhere.

And even if they win, they can never go home. Not to where they were born, any of them.

Book Fourteen of The Science Officer, and part of Season Two.

Can't put it down.

So many times when you read a series the last books are falling short of what captured you in the beginning. Not so with this series. This book has been exceptional from beginning to end. It reflects on AI in a very positive way, it reflects on doing the right thing in a very positive and unusual way. It keeps you enthralled because you never know what's going to come next and how they're going to get out of trouble. Every time is very different so it's not predictable. I also like the verbiage used. Every so often I need to look up a word to find out what it means. So, to this degree it's educational. But mostly it's just great fun to read this series and learn the personalities of everybody this author writes about. I would suggest this book to everybody. There are parts of it that everyone can relate to.

Good news The latest is out.

I grabbed this asap. Read it immediately. Lots of action. More than usual, which is saying something for a Blaze Ward book. A climax for this arc. Now we wait for the next (maybe final) arc. #!$$ I hate waiting, but I know it will be worth it.
