Brir

It's been ten years since humans destroyed our world, but things for me haven't changed. The scars decorating my body remind me daily of my failures. I'm someone who shouldn't be around people. I disgraced my family, and I pay for that with this solitude. My days are regimented now, and Dune is my only company. My scaly mount doesn't care that I couldn't save the ones I loved. This simplistic life is what I deserve and all I need.

Or so I thought before I met a human who lights up my threads and makes me want more.

Artemis

Saving my sister just got complicated. I’ve caught the plague that is ravaging our cities as well. Taken hostage by the same military that stole my sister, I became hybrid experiment 1134. Caged, I'm no closer to finding out what really happened to her now that I need to save my own skin--or is it scales?

My body is no longer human. To study what I've become the military is transferring me to another facility, but a surprise rescue carried out by a man with blue skin and red eyes is not what I thought was in the cards for me. Brir is either going to teach me how to accept my new form and gather the strength to find Apollo or leave me more lost and alone than ever before.

Brir lives on the outskirts of the world, hidden away from those who could judge or hurt him. A chance encounter gives him an opportunity to help someone in need, not knowing how much that someone would really need of Brir. Artemis became a military experiment after he joined while on a mission to rescue his sister. Weak, hurt, and afraid, he relies on Brir for everything as the two navigate Artemis's new body and its strengths. What neither of them realize is the bond forming between them could change everything. When the military recapture Artemis, Brir returns to the monster city of New Pharia to find help, and puts his own life on the line for the chance to save the one person who might just be able to put him back together.

So, I really enjoyed the first book in this series, but this one was all of that and more. Brir and Artemis are both lost souls who form a tenuous connection. Their survival depends on each other, and the universe will not let them forget it. I absolutely adored the utmost devotion each feels for the other. Artemis gave Brir back his choice and chance at happiness, while Brir restored Artemis's faith and sense of security. These two faced more than their fair share of challenges, but with the help of friends, they came out fighting. The writing was captivating, and I was utterly engrossed in every word.

So I read the first one and enjoyed it so much and the same with this one. If you like monsters taking over the world along with apocalypse but NO zombies!!!! Just a crazy army and scientists. This is the book for you. It's long but don't let it fool you. It is full of spicy, which is delicious. You have lovers coming together along with friendship being made, people returning from the first book and so much more. The way this author describes things is fantastic. You even have BIG landmarks ( Disneyland) and I love that cause I live right by it. So if something like this happens I should go there 🤣👍🏼. Thanks for the tip.

Plot: You get introduced to two different people. Artemis & Biri. This is a MM romance which I have been dipping my fingers in this year and loving. I do love how the author gives you all the background about these two different people and then adds back in some characters from the first story. I fell in love with Merrick & Soren’s and needed to see what happened in their storyline. And this author didn't disappoint at all.
The back and forth that this author does between the two people that are supposed to fall for each other is chef kiss and that goes for both stories with the couple. You really fall for them and enjoy the books so much more. Some authors give very little detail of background, and back and forth before two people in a book falling in love. I think with this one being so long she was able to put in those details.

Another great thing in this book is the way this author comes up with the monsters and creatures in this book. She has a very vivid beautiful mind. And the way she describes them is breathtaking. One of my favorites is Vampandrias’s. But she also talks about other monsters in the story and gives a very vivid description.

If you haven't heard of this author you should adopt her and read her books. And add these ones to your list. Especially if you like the Monster MM Romance. I really hope this author comes out with more to enjoy from her!!!!

If you loved the first book, you're going to love this one even more. It will make you laugh, and it will make you cry! Brir and Artemis go through hell and back in this post-apocalyptic world, all for love.

The characters are so well rounded and complete polar opposites with their grumpy and sunshine personalities. Their development throughout the story is so heartbreakingly beautiful.

The plot is intense and easy to get sucked into. I couldn't put it down! It was easy to follow, and didn't leave any loose ends. It does get dark at some points, so definitely read the trigger warnings before hand, but it was so well done it was hard not to cry.

The spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️! The tension between these two is so thick, you could cut it with a knife! The build up was nicely done, and the way Brir absolutely worships Artemis was breathtaking.

Overall, this book is 5⭐. Miranda is an amazing author, and I can't wait to read the next book in this series!

Wow! Just wow!

This book was as good as or maybe even better than Soren. Tons of action, more fantastic world building, and filled with love. Brir is a romance filled with many twists and turns, humor, and action. I absolutely adore the characters this author creates, I want to be their friends and I definitely want them on my side if there's ever an apocalypse. Artemis and Brir are so deep and three dimensional, their friendship grows into a partnership unlike any other. The beasts and villains are intense and I so want to defeat the bad guys. I'm going to be hanging on the edge of this cliff holding my breath until the next book comes out. I can't say enough about this author's ability to write a reality filled with excitement and complex interactions. Her writing is stellar and this series checks all the boxes!

A soul-gripping tale in a pos-apocalyptic earth after a rupture between worlds when the monsters came.
Brir and Artemis are so diferent, grump and light but somehow fit perfectly.
My praise to Miranda for her sensibility in the development of the characters and the intense and often complex plot, made me laugh and even shed a tear or two.
For those that have read and loved Soren,Brir doesn't disapoint a bit!
I can't wait to read more in this beautiful universe created by Miranda Page!

Adore it. Excellent reading material. Different points of view from different people. Very detailed on their future ambitions and anxieties. Encourages moving on with one's life rather than dwelling on the past, and shows how to do so while retaining an appreciation for the experiences that shaped one's identity. Please continue the excellent job; I am already looking forward to the next installment.

🌶️🌶️🌶️

This series really has my vote. I have thoroughly enjoyed every second. I fell in love with all the characters from book 1. And to see them here in book 2 makes my heart happy. Plus you get to know additional characters! They’re connected but not in a way that makes you bored. You get Happy for nows in each book only because there’s a bigger picture! They are hea but they have to all work together to defeat the common villains. Oh man. This book was long. I don’t want to sugar coat that. But in my opinion. 100% worth it. I cannot wait for book 3!

Lonely and scarred Brir was so precious to me. He does not feel he is worthy or that anyone could love and accept him now. Rescuing Artemis gives him purpose and so much hope. He adored Artemis and I was so taken in by his care and obsessive attention to him. I enjoyed that this book was a bit longer so we got a really good balance of crazy intense world building, lots of surrounding character development and wonderful opposites attract romance.

The same world as Soren, but this story has different characters. This is the second book in the series but it can be read in any order. This is a walking Dead meets Divergent type so if dystopian society or current events is your cup of tea this book is perfect for you!! 😜

Briar is just trying to make it and survive in the aftermath of the world being almost destroyed. I loved Soren but I absolutely couldn’t put this one down. I highly recommend this series!

Needs Work

This book feels overwritten, more like a rough draft than a finished novel. It needs significant editing to tighten the narrative. Merrick’s point of view felt unnecessary and added confusion rather than depth. There was simply too much going on—so much so that the story could’ve been split into two separate books. I really enjoyed the first installment and was looking forward to this one, but I found it disappointing. Hopefully, the next book is more cohesive and better written.

THIS READ IS ONE HECK OF AN EMOTIONAL ROLLERCOASTER OF A RIDE!! IT IS COMPLEX, INTRIGUING, AND THE CHARACTERS FEEL SO REAL!

This is book 2 in the Wandereres Between Worlds series. This read is about Brir and Artemis, and their story is emotional and powerful, and these two are so beautiful together. This read definitely kept me on my toes and definitely a page-turner. Such an amazing read.

I loved this book. There was so much vulnerability from Artemis, yet he was incredibly resilient. I loved how Brir was able to grow and open up. All of the supporting characters were well drawn and interesting, and it was good to see some of Merrick. I'm very interested in seeing how this story continues.

This series keeps getting better!

Brir and Artemis are a such a sweet pairing. If you love grumpy monsters with a heart of gold then this is the series you need to read. The world may be a post apocalyptic shell but the characters are beacons of loss, love and hope. The writing is poignant and will definitely hit you with all the feels.

Brit and Artemis’s story is well developed. The theme of overcoming one’s past is strong as is the character development. The book is intense and you will experience the strong emotions and that’s what makes the story great.

This story's editing is leagues better than the first book.

The pacing is absolutely not my cup of tea. There's a lot of repetitive nonsense that adds nothing substantive to the story itself that could be trimmed out, but the story itself is mostly enjoyable.

YOUR MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS!!! Please take the trigger warnings to heart; Nasty humans (they are mean), Discussions of human experimentation, Graphic violence, including gun violence, Graphic on-page torture, Body part removal (tail), Graphic sexual content, Light D/s, including spanking and throat-holding, non-human genitalia.

I found the first book to be different and very interesting as I didn't know the legend of Tam Tam when I first read Sorn's story. It was only when I did some extra research on the story because it sounded a bit familiar but not overly. But I did enjoy it. So, I was excited to read the next installment of the series. I laughed and cried through this one even more than the first one. This time, we find Brir and Artemis going to he!! and coming back. This time, we are in a post-apocalyptic world, and they do all this in the name of love. (The things we will do for love.)

Miranda Page does such a great job with her character development. She creates characters that are well rounded and completely opposite to each other with their grumpy/sunshine personalities. I love their characters arcs throughout the story, even if it is heartbreaking and yet so beautiful at the same time.

I do have to warn you that the plot to Between 2 Worlds: Brir is intense. But at the same time, it is so easy to get into. I hated putting this one down at night when it was time to call it a night. I loved how easy it is to follow, and it doesn't leave you with any loose ends. Yes, it does go dark at times, so please, for your own sake, I am begging you to pay attention to the trigger warnings at the start of this review. This story did make me cry. It's just how I am and who I am.

I loved how thick the tension is between Brir and Artemis is, I felt like I could just pull it apart with my hands. It just keeps building up more and more over the course of the book, and you can see how Brir just venerates Artemis.

Miranda is just an astounding author. I can't wait to read the next book in the series. This is a spicy book with just the right amount of heart.

Well, once again, I’ve found myself completely captivated by this world and characters! I love a book that has amazing spice, a complex and intriguing world, and characters with true depth, and this book has all of that in spades! While keeping this spoiler free, Brir and Artemis are both so broken and lost in this unforgiving world, and my heart truly broke for them both from the start.

One thing apocalyptic stories have taught me is that humans are most likely the scariest thing in the wasteland, and that’s definitely true here. There are some truly awful things that happen, so be sure to check the trigger warnings. That being said, the author does a phenomenal job of weaving plenty of heartwarming and swoon-worthy moments throughout! And when things get hot, they get 🔥🔥!! Brir and Artemis’s chemistry is amazing, and it made the spicy scenes all the better!

If you haven’t read Soren, you’ll definitely want to read that first, as there is an overarching story to the series, and several chapters are even from Merrick’s POV, which I really liked!

Overall, this book is a resounding 5 ⭐️'s and did not disappoint at all! I can't wait for whatever happens next!

Love it. Great read. Views from multiple characters. Great in depth on both of theirs fears and hopes for the future. Gives hope to looking forward and not always looking back and how to let go of the past but not totally forgetting how it made you you. Looking forward to the next one and as always keep up the great work.
