After a college party from hell goes wrong, endangering her life, she flees town quickly with the hope that Governor Peter Hudson will not kill her for the proof she carries of his sons' depravities. Pushing through the night in agony, she makes it to the next city before succumbing to her injuries.
Prepared to die from the winter elements of Montana, she's shocked when she wakes up on Samson Ranch, surrounded by a team of Green Berets who swear to keep her safe.
As Governor Hudson's search for Delthilia ensues across the state, she finds herself falling in love with three men who will do anything to make her stay.
Including killing anyone who tries to take her from them.

Not at all the book I was expecting, but I loved it all the same! I was thinking I was going to get a romance, not one of the spiciest books I’ve read in a while. Delthilia goes through it all and has to come out the other side. Her men, yes men will help her every step of the way. I love her spirit in the face of everything she’s had to endure. This was amazing!
I’ve not come across any books previously where the FMC has albinism, so stumbling across this book was refreshing.
The horrors that Della (Delthilia) -FMC- survived broke my heart. Not only did she grow up with parents who never showed her an ounce of love or safety but she also had to endure criticism for her looks from everyone that laid eyes on her.
Once she finally has a friend -Fenna- in college, she goes to a party at the Governor’s house hosted by his two shithead sons where she ends up being brutally raped by the two sons who also use a knife to permanently etch nasty hurtful words onto her thighs all while recording the horrendous act.
Dells manages to escape and soon finds herself on a property where multiple Green Berets live and work. The men take her into their home, bandage and tend to her wounds, and care for her. For all 3 men it’s live at first sight even though two of them dont let it show right off unlike Tate who flirts with her from day one. Knox is second to finally give into wanting Della while Ranger takes a bit more coaxing.
The men help her heal and take things at her pace.
She ends up falling in love with Tate, Knox, and Ranger. The Governor does come for her and the men do everything in their power to keep her safe. Even with her losing her new found friend, Tati, due to the Governor’s cruel hand she manages to pick up the pieces once Tate explains that Tati died protecting her so Della could live and that’s how her death should be honored.
This book has one of the most beautiful HEA when Della gives birth to their daughter who’s just like her mother.
Her character was able to heal and grow while also healing the wounds still affecting her men. They were able to heal each other and look forward to what was yet to come.
I highly recommend the book. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know each character and loved reading about their growth throughout the book. ❤️

What did I just read??This was bad, not terrible or horrible but bad nonetheless. And I’m honestly questioning myself if I read the same book as the other reviewers bc what the eff? This was just not for me and I don’t know why I made myself finish it.
The plot had potential, it was a little generic and nothing new but I’m normally easily entertained, but the execution? Yeah no, this could have been loads better. The TikTok extracts were definitely misleading and scenes out of context are sometimes better than the whole thing (this was one of those times).
This gave me too much cringe and second hand embarrassment, it was just weird idk, and the dirty talk was just 🤮. The book was rushed, had a lot of plot holes, unnecessary story lines and just too much happening without us seeing any type of development, it just lacked structure and the actual ability to keep me hooked.
Delthilia character was stupid, she just didn’t had much going on up there and I honestly didn’t liked her character. The MMC’s were meh and even though they were only three I still felt the harem was unbalanced and their personalities shallow.
The side characters were unnecessary, what was their point in the story? They just added more meaningless filler to the book.
The ending was questionable and a touch incoherent, the “I’ll kill them” trope in a contemporary setting it’s just a no idk. I just didn’t liked this, maybe it was the lack of backbone and personality for the FMC, the flatness of the MMC’s or maybe the non existent structured storyline but this was not for me.
This story tells an incredible story of strength, resilience, love, and devotion. I tend to shy away from SA stories but TikTok had me intrigued so I gave it a go and boy am I glad I did. Della has such an inner warrior that shines in spite of everything that life has thrown her way she has remained this beacon of goodness and light. I really enjoyed seeing how her presence changes the men and women around her.
The writing was on point and the story was well paced. I’m not a fan of when an author throws in unnecessary pages just to make a book longer so I was thrilled that this author stayed on point and told a well thought out story that kept me engaged from start to finish. This will be a why choose that I suggest for years to come.
Delthilia's story is a raw and relatable journey of self-discovery. As a college student yearning for connection, she's thrust into a situation that forces her to confront her vulnerabilities and ultimately rebuild herself, stronger and more independent. The found family she creates becomes her anchor, while the steamy, protective presence of a group of military men adds a layer of thrilling romance. Their unwavering dedication, and willingness to die for her and her precious gift, creates a high-stakes tension that will keep you captivated. If you enjoy stories about resilience, found family, and sizzling romance, this is a must-read.
tati deserved better but her sacrifice and bravery and the love she held in her heart in her final moments for the family and found family that she loved that she would go down swinging for is what i will remember when i think about this book
don’t be like me and really pay attention to tati and her character when she does appear on page because after reading her chapter i literally cried wishing i had
side characters really do hold importance and heart in the story too. this book reminded me of that
PHENOMENAL!!! This story had me hooked. I was sad when it ended but their ending was absolute perfection. Delthilia went through so much but I love that she finally found her people. I was devastated when Tati was killed, I really liked her and was expecting more of her in the book. I like that this book didn’t take the more traditional route on how a woman should act after being SAd. There are so many different ways on how people cope with trauma and I love that this gave me something different than the usual. More people need to know about and read this book.

Let me start with the fact once I started this I couldn’t stop. The story the characters the /Feelings/ ugh just everything. This book hit home for me and i highly recommend it. Definitely can’t wait to read Fenna’s book next! ❤️🩹
I devoured this book in a day!!! Why choose? Dark men who will do anything for you? Umm yes!!!!!! This book had me squealing with joy, raging and crying all at the same time!!! 10000000000% recommend!!!
This was such a good read. It has all the feels and though it’s a standalone it didn’t feel rushed or lacking. You feel such pride reading the FMC’s growth throughout the book and the love the blossoms on the page. Absolutely fantastic!
I love this book some much, the character development and the way the story never got boring or slow was fantastic!! Read it in less than 24 hours!! I can’t wait for Fennas’ story
I’m absolutely so happy I found this book! It quickly became one of my favorites. With the strong female lead who is able to build herself back up with the encouragement of some of the sweetest men I’ve read in books so far. I absolutely loved it and can’t wait to read more of Paxtyns books!!
What a ride 😆 First off, please read the trigger warning page. If you made it pass the page, then you're in for a ride. Dethilia story is tragic but with a beautiful HEA. Why choose from 3 manly Green Beret the way they take care of her and are so careful and gentle with her is so beautiful 😍 The spice is spicy I gave it a 3/5 🌶

Check triggers before reading. This is a fast paced books that include the insta love vibe to it. Usually insta love without mates gives me this icky but this was good! I loved how each man has his own personality. I also loved the epilogue!❤️
I absolutely love this book. It speaks for itself, there is so much love and action in this book. I would definitely recommend reading this book to someone, anyone, that’s how good, how amazing this book is.
This book. What can I say. Delthilia is my spirit animals and lives a life that I wish would have happened to me after I survived what men did to me. Being a survivor has so many emotions and paths and ups and down. And this book SHOWS that. No two peoples journeys are the same and I love that this book shows her resilience and her struggle and her growth. Thank you for giving us a book that shows US.
Is this book graphic? Yes. Is it for mature audiences only? YES. Is it hard to read in some parts? YES! Is it beautiful? ABSOLUTELY! Is it encouraging? 100%
Whether you are a survivor or not, read this. It can help you, or it can show you what some survivors go through.
If you have a Medusa tattoo, I see you and I feel you 🩷
The plot had so much potential, but this definitely needed a good line and copy editor before it was published. There were several grammatical issues that threw me off and a line editor could have kept the author from making major plot mistakes.
As a horse owner, horses wear reins, not reigns. Belgian Draft Horses are NOT going to be used for ranch work and couldn't effectively carry a 300lb man and a 100ish pound female for long distances. Also, it takes a good solid year for someone to ride off at a gallop or canter bareback with consistent lessons but the FMC just galloped off like it wasn't a problem. That scene made me chuckle.
There was a time throw where they just meet her and then suddenly she's been there for 'months' so the story was hard to follow in ways because it felt like chapters were missing where the relationships were supposed to develop, even with the side characters (but even more so, romantic build up was just not there). It was odd to go from the scenario of the fmc being victimized to her allowing what she did without any character growth or development. She jumped right in... maybe onto these men. The author could have dropped one of her love interests, and the story would have moved at the same speed and consistency.
There were some instances where the first person pov was odd because the characters described their actions as if they were talking in third person. And there were far too many conveniences in the storyline. For example, when Tati comes to retrieve the sweater. The author could have fixed the major 'convenience' or 'coincidental' issue by having one of the characters spot her looking through the window and spotting Hudson with the sweater. There was no lead up to that. I know why it was needed, but it was far too coincidental and I found myself saying 'of course she/he did' several times over instances like this.
I read it all the way through, so I gave it three stars and if the author ever wanted help with line editing, I'd offer it... for free. Especially if she uses horses in her story!
There were a few chapters where I thought to myself 'this is what I was looking for' and the story was pretty good.

I really enjoyed this book. I was over here trying to play catch with Della but miss girl could not catch a break. But in all seriousness this book does touch on serious topics and how different people handle them and how it affects their mental health and I do appreciate that it is talked about. I love how all of the guys from the moment they see her are instantly taking care of her and spoiling her. My favorite part, no third act breakup.
First! THE SPICEEEEEEE 10/10 *chef's kiss* and NOT SAFE FOR WORK, LOL. Most women can resonate with Della and want to feel protected, loved, and wanted. If you want a fast-paced romance, this is for you! I listened via Audible, which helped with the structure problems mentioned in previous reviews. I truly cannot wait for book two!

Hi!!! It’s me—the author. I can’t thank you enough for giving this novel a chance! I put a piece of my soul into this book series and into each woman I write into existence. Each book is dedicated to you—my real life superheroes. To the ones who have survived unimaginable grief, abuse, terror and an unknown future. I see you. And you are so loved. I hope these stories can help you to find peace, or at least give you hope for a better life to come.
This book was absolutely beautiful and heart wrenching all at once. I couldn’t put this book down any free chance I got I was reading it’s been a few months now and I still think about this book ❤️
