Ling Walters is the pen name of a formerly incarcerated woman. Released in 2024, she spent her time in prison writing stories about the women around her. Walters draws on her time spent in prison to create these skillfully woven, institutional narratives, and true-to-life characters. Although these stories are fictional, they are based on real situations, and real people. Ling enjoys writing, spending time with her cat, and arts and crafts. As a recovering addict, and survivor of abuse, she hopes to bring attention to the very real problems faced by incarcerated women.
