With deliciously detailed accounts of love and pure evil in the storyline. Deena has certainly given us an exhilarating world full of possibility and intrigue, evil ,love and a hum dinger of a cliff hanger.

Devil Du Jour - will have you cringing as you read, goosebumps along your arms, and wandering in which direction the story will take you.

I personally - get the heeby geebies when I read evil, and Deena certainly depicks the evil as sinister, scary and certainly powerful.

I enjoyed the character building in this story, we see a strong side of Camille - and I really enjoy the romance in this instalment !! Deliscious and sweet.

'The storyline was really interesting and fast paced. Unique and certainly one of a kind. Once I had a chance to sit down, I had the book finished in just a few hours time. The story kept me hooked and kept me guessing, and was unpredictable at every page turn !

I look forward to the next instalment , as Deena left me high and dry - a cliffhanger that certainly had me gasping and frantically flipping that reader to find out .... I had to wait till the next book ! (( gasps))

Intense, scary, Intriguing -

'The story moves along swiftly and there's never a dull moment. You're constantly in the centre of a raging storm - emotionally and phyiscally, building to the brim yet = filled with danger and uncertainty abound till that last page !

This second book in the Book Waitress series begins exactly where book one left off and you will probably be a bit, well a lot, confused if you have not read book one. I thought I was completely in love with book one, but this one was even better. From the first page you are on this amazing and mysterious paranormal adventure. Camille and Derek really play off of each other well and the relationship seems natural and not forced. I especially like this because they both have a bit of social awkwardness to them and I can totally relate to that aspect of their characters. They are also both bright and educated which adds a depth to them I also related to.
I probably should not have read this so close to bed time because it does have some elements in it that are quite scary. I get especially spooked when people, as opposed to paras, do really bad things. Without giving away too much, there are some bad things that happen in this book that make it such an amazing book. Oh and the ending........ AMAZING! I so can not wait for the next book to be released! This series is quickly becoming one of my faves.

this one gets a bit muddier for me.

Camille - has been rescued from Satan & the "Mission's" evil plan...for now. this picks up right where the last left off. The symbols cut into her skin seem to be acting as a signal as to when a demon passes through the Gate to Hell that was opened. The symbols begin burning when a demon passed through. And of course ... Satan is not finish with Camille yet....

Derek - steadfast and determined to help Camille, helps her come up with a way to survive the burning episodes all the while dealing with his feelings and attraction to her.

Derek also enlists a couple of friends that have helped him in other "unusual" cases previously. The scouring of books continues to find all the knowledge they can about sending the demons that have crossed through back and closing the Gate.

you'll just have to read to find out the rest...

This one was a bit less awkward - but I felt like not much really happened except research and planning...

Yay, as I fly into Devil Du Jour with it’s continuing story and events from The Book Waitress!

I must tell you right now that I am a HUGE fan of author Deena Remiel!! I fell in love with the mighty “Brethren” books, and have been hooked ever since. *swoon* I always wait eagerly for the next book to come out. Man, oh man you gotta love my boys!!

Now Deena Remiel has done it again, I am now truly captivated on this new series The Book Waitress. Weaving all the characters together, making a spellbinding story for us all as avid Deena readers to enjoy.

Now lets see, in book two Devil Du Jour Camille and Derek’s relationship is ramping up as the events of the ugly evil rears it ugly head *shivers*, to try and grip a tighter hold on the town that they live in. Will evil succeed ? I don’t think so not with Camille and Derek around!!! The mighty duo of strength.

Camille will be taking a big step as she moves forward in major way, that only she can do to try and unravel the mysteries of the evil. What is it that she can do? Do you know what it is? I do…
Hoping to get answers to what’s going on.

There is so much that is happening in this story that to go any further will be giving to much away, and thus giving spoilers. So at this point I must say that if you haven’t got your hands on this series, you are truly missing out on a spectacular book and phenomenal read!!!.

So start with “The Book Waitress”, read it real fast to get caught you on the storyline, then fly your happy excited self straight into “Devil Du Jour!!! Poof, you will be exactly where I am now, waiting for “Demon A La Mode “ with it’s follow-up to this series.

I can seem to say enough about this amazing series, but believe me when I say that it is PHENOMENAL. Thank author Deena Remiel yet again for another terrific book. Now hurry up please and release the next one!!!

So on I go in my waiting mode once mode *sigh* patiently waiting for “Demon A La Mode.

This is the second installment in The Book Waitress series and though I enjoyed the first one, I loved the second one! Deena kicked it up a notch in this one. The steamy stuff is hotter and the scary stuff is even more terrifying! It makes for one hell of a read! ;) The combination of romance and horror is perfect and is the whole basis of the story. Good versus evil. Which side will win? Deena is a pro at this writing style and it's why I adore everything she writes! You'll go from cringing to smiling from one page to the next!

As expected, DDJ picked up where TBW ended and was definitely a page turner! I was always anxious to discover what was happening. It's a quick read, but is filled with so much that it leaves the reader feeling satisfied and ready for the next part of the story!

One thing's for sure, that ending is pure evil! Can I have the next one now, pretty please?

OMG! Deena Remiel has done it again. This is the second installment of The Book Waitress Series.. A solid Good -vs- Evil story line filled willed with many DIABOLICAL twisted turns. Love it. It picks right where Book 1 left off.

Camille and Derek find themselves up against a remarkably sinister Evil without many places to turn until they come across an item that helps spell things out for them. Coupled with a few friends they embark on a journey that blew my mind.

I cannot wait for installment 3.. Bring it On!!

If you like a little steam and enjoyable banter between characters with a twisted hellacious plot this would be it. I recommend it for the 18+ Reader due to the nature of the plot.

For this second book in the Book Waitress series Ms. Remiel continues the story from the first and it is awesome! The relationship heats up between Camille and Derek just as much as Evil takes a bigger hold on the town. Can't wait for the next installment in this series to see what happens next!

In this 2nd of the series, Camille and Derek are searching for a way to close the portal between our world and hell. Camille is still recovering from all the carving done on her as she was supposed to be part of a satanic sacrifice. Derek managed to save her. The many marks burn up to 13 times a day. She modifies a scuba like suit to hold ice packs. They give her some relief from the burning pain. She thinks maybe a demon is crossing over every time she fires up in pain. Shelter Island where she is living is having violent outbreaks, she knows there is a connection. She can hear Satan in her dreams trying to seduce her into completing the sacrifice, joining with him. Derek calls on several friends to come and help them. They find a journal that lists 13 items needed and a spell to say to close the portal. The well Satan wants Camille to drown in is on the library's property and the library is for sale. Camille buys it and moves in. There are more satanic cult books to read in the library.
Camille is so tired from the pain, lack of sleep, Satan's bothering her, the move, buying furniture and outfitting the library for living in. Derek's friends went home to pack, get passports, so they can travel around the world in search of the 13 articles they need. Derek goes into the basement to do some research in the books they found while Camille takes a nap. When he comes back upstairs he finds her "suit" but no Camille. He is going crazy trying to find her, he loves her. He races out back to the well and sees Camille walking naked around the top of the well.
I'm guessing the next book will answer a lot of the questions. Will Camille be a victim, or is she the key to closing the portal? Can Derek and his friends save Shelter Island and the world from this latest satanic influx? If Camille is lost to Satan will Derek be able to go on?
