Gemini: Other Nature Book 2

Rate this book
A new city.

A long way from home.

The sizzling second instalment of Other Nature continues…

The truth is out. Peter knows who he is and is coming to terms with all that it means.

Far from home, the friends find themselves in the holy city of Varanasi, searching for answers to impossible questions and seeking a coven of witches to help in their quest. However, the knowledge the coven brings proves more informative than Peter bargains for, and once more, he’s left reeling at his true nature.

Peter’s desire to protect those he loves threatens to suffocate. But when a new goddess is thrust into their path, he can’t tell if he wants her or wants to destroy her, which tests his relationship with Connie more than ever.

Meanwhile, his twin, Anna, comes into her own. Feeling less in his shadow, she strengthens and learns their relationship may not be all it once seemed. As Peter becomes increasingly unstable, can he be set on a path of destruction from which he can’t return?

The Other Nature adventure continues in Gemini. They’re older, but perhaps not wiser. Prepare for betrayal and more mature themes.

Omg, I LOVED this book SO much! I physically couldn’t stop myself from turning over page after page. What a masterpiece! I cannot stress enough how GOOD ‘Gemini’ was. The characters were written so beautifully. I felt every emotion and lived in every scene. That’s what a good author brings to their readers- real feelings and sensations. Kerry Williams definetily succeeded. This is real top quality writing. I’m 100% sure Williams is going to make it big and enchant us with more amazing novels in the future. ‘Gemini’ is for sure, my fave read for 2023! Perfect for fans of Jennifer L. Armentrout, Holly Black and Stephanie Garber ;) So excited for the third installment! ♡︎

Proceed With Caution and Expect “Oh $h!t” Moments.

Quotes:📖
“Why not? Why not believe in the fantastic if you have the chance?”

If what Rue said is true and he is not the sun in the sky but the black hole at the center of everything, if he is destruction, then I will stand at his side and revel in his devastation. Forever.

Thoughts: 💡
Wow. Just wow. I did not see this book going in the direction that it did. But it was incredible. The drama and destruction, all the chaos and how the author found new ways to break the characters. This is an incredible story, and while it does have romance in it, I feel like it’s so much more than a romance.
I was personally blindsided by some of the events and the way the plot progressed. I thought I knew where the story was going especially after reading book 1, but then chapter 8 rolled around and my brain exploded. The ride did not stop from there, it continued to progress in unexpected ways, because this was not the type of trope I usually read. Yet, I am so glad that I read it.
The character development was on point for me. I just didn’t like the way the characters spiraled because I wanted better for them. As much as I loved it, I didn’t cry when certain events happened. I was just shocked and stunned.
Looking back on the plot, I see how the author set things up; but it was subtle enough that I didn’t see it coming. Which meant I got to have all the shocking moments, but it didn’t break my focus from the story.
I think the writing style was much easier to read in this one. It is Kerry William’s second book, and I honestly felt like she took the criticisms she received from her first book and fine tuned her skills. The more I read her books, the more I want to read them. I think Ms. Williams is talented and demented and that makes for incredible stories.

After reading the first book in the series I knew I would be finishing all three of Kerrys books in the series. "Gemini" continued beautifully from "Other Nature" and once again made you feel like you were accompanying these characters on their journey. The way these books described the story from the different perspectives in each chapter is such a fun way to tell the story and helps us grow even closer to all the characters instead of focusing on one individual character. The words Kerry uses to describe the scene, characters, feelings during the course of the books are perfect as they really give you the sense of picturing the scene in your mind. I am a big movie fan and the way Kerry told this story, as she did with "Other Nature", allowed me to picture ever scene in my head as if I was watching it on screen. Kerry Williams wrote an amazing story with "Other Nature" and continues to provide great storytelling and fun lovable characters in "Gemini". I have been recommending these books to all my friends and family as these books are very entertaining. Definitely a series I will return to over and over again. Kerry is an immensely talented author and I cannot wait to read "Setting Sun" and everything else she writes.

I absolutely loved the second installment to the Other Nature trilogy! Thank you so much to Kerry Williams for reaching out and sending it to me. In my opinion, Gemini was more magical than Other Nature. I enjoyed seeing the previous characters grow and learn. I enjoyed all the new characters also. Even though Sorcha and I have problems. I do not like her. I enjoyed how everyone was finding out who they truly were fresh out of high school. I enjoyed all the magical elements. The witches and elemental magic were amazing! I feel bad for Peter because there is so much drama wherever he goes. Before you read this book, be warned of the triggers. There are references to suicide and cheating. There are also violent scenes. This book is definitely a page turner and had me in all my feels. You can not help but be pulled in.

I could not wait to be able to purchase and read Gemini after enjoying reading book one, Other Nature. This book takes some unexpected turns and kept me on my toes but I could not put it down! I devoured the first half of the book and then slowed myself down because I did not want it to be over.

I have been so drawn into the story and have enjoyed every moment, although at points I had to put the book down and take a moment to absorb what had just happened!

It amazes me that these are Kerry Williams’ debut novels because they are so expertly written.

I haven’t read this genre before so it is not just for those who love the genre, I think everyone needs to read it! I can not wait to purchase book three soon!

Well I am an emotional wreck after reading this!! I could not put it down and have read it all in one go. I have cried, i have been angry and most importantly I have been overjoyed. The characters growth is so organic and believable from the almost innocent teenagers to adults living in the real world and dealing with exceptional changes in such a raw and vulnerable way.
In the words of Kerry herself in the acknowledgements at the end of the book, this was Connie and Peter's origin story and I am beyond excited to see what the final installment of this series brings! Bring on more choas please 😈🍓

Wow! Hold onto your seats! What a ride! Witches, covens, bloodshed, magic and romance - Gemini has it all. Peter just gets better and better as he gets badder and badder. Connie really comes into her own in this book and I just can’t wait for The Setting Sun. My favourite quote has to be: “Connie,” I whispered back. “I would parade you everywhere.”

Wow another gripping exciting book by Kerry williams. I was so keen for this book to see how the cliff hanger ending of Other Nature was resolved OMG ! This book introduced more characters, as the story develops, the author has made them very interesting and a new dimension to the relationship of Peter and Connie. This book is exciting, dramatic, jaw dropping. What will happen next, looking forward to book 3.

"It's time to stop being selfish and think of Anna, to let Anna live her years as happy as they can possibly be. Years where I am not what she has to worry about all the time."

"Their souls are all right for taking, so I open my palms, calling them to me."

"If what Rue said is true and he is not the sun in the sky but the black hole at the center of everything, if he is the destruction, then I will stand at his side in revel and his devastation. Forever."

Wow. I was not expecting any of this to happen at all. I was so into this book just trying to figure out the next move for the team. I really enjoyed the growth of the characters even though some of them made me mad. 😆 I will say that sweet Anna was my favorite in this book. She was so understanding to everyone. And then we have poor Connie she was taken through the ringer. But we all know our girl is strong and can handle what's thrown at her. Now we just have to wait and see if Peter and her get what they need done. I can't wait for the final book.
