5 stars, 5 STARS! ALL THE STARS!!!!

Holy heck, what was in this book? Was it literal crack? Is that something people can do now?? I’ve never had crack but call me an addict because this book was SO GOOD!!!!

I was not expecting this from a book on Galatea. Goddamn, that was some good reading.

Grayson was EVERYTHING I’ve ever wanted in a supernatural, possessive alpha-male - even things I didn’t know I wanted!! The purring?!?! I’m sorry, WHAT?!?!?! Why are more authors not doing this!!!! I don’t even know why I liked it so much but HECK it was good. I literally cannot praise the writing of Grayson’s character enough!!! Annie, I need more of this!! Exactly this!!! Everything you put into Grayson, I need you to do it again and then let me know so I can go read that book too!

This book was so freaking good that I don’t even care about the whole miscommunication for the first 1/3. And do you know how much I HATE miscommunication in a book? A LOT. But Lord save me, everything that happened when Grayson and Belle finally got back together blew all that out of the water.

I don’t have a single complaint about this book, except that is wasn’t longer!! I could read this book all damn day.

Annie, PLEASE publish this book at some point - PLEASE!!!! I wanted so bad to annotate it - SO BAD!!!!!!! If you ever publish this book for real can you please let me know because I will buy THE HECK out of it! I’ll buy every copy if I have to. Goddamn it was good.

Maybe it won't make sense but the first book was way better. The second book had promise but what killed it was the fact that after Belle and Grayson made up, the plot is rushed.

So Azazel is heard to have returned and is apparently in Maine then kills two people, one of which has two kids we never follow up on about the death of the mother. 💀 But Grayson takes Liam and Belle to Zaweth (and WE NEVER hear from Liams sister, Laila, after that unless I've forgotten or missed something.)

Also - this whole thing with Grayson not having sex with Belle bc he's worried about her shifting into a frickin fairy and proceeds to not say anything about it so there's over a dozen chapters where this is the struggle and not the fact that they were just also being chased by a psychotic vampire killing people. -.-... Like I kinda get it. The author was tryna get us to keep reading it till they actually banged but it's just horrible.

Maybe I'm taking this too seriously, I don't know what I was expecting.

I really enjoyed these so much !

The alpha is possessive and will stop at nothing to find his mate again and win her back ! but hes not the only one looking for her . Others want their revenge and will stop at nothing to hurt the alpha by getting to her.

fav quotes:

"So...okay, you're afraid that having sex with me might kill me. Is that right?"

I growled, hating that we were talking about her death so casually.
"Yes."

She nodded. "Okay, but hear me out, because I think I might have the perfect solution..." She paused. "What if we just had sex anyway?"

"Absolutely not."

"I thought I told you to stay on the bed," he said, chiding me.

"And I thought I told you I would kick you in the balls if you kept talking to me like I'm a child."

A muscle ticked in his jaw."You make me fucking crazy."

"Don't blame me for your psychosis."

"Baby, you are my psychosis."

If you’re looking for strong female leads, turn away. If you’re looking for spice and everything nice, turn away. If you’re looking for a story that makes sense, turn away.

The FMC is constantly crying. Very insecure. And always crying. Did I mention she’s always crying? It gets old real fast, and it gets way worse in book 2. She literally does not have a backbone. The author tries, but it just turns into the FMC yet again turning into a weak, crying and insecure character.

I love alpha types, but this was too much. Too controlling, too possessive. Way too controlling and possessive ugh. Over the top for an alpha trope. It got old, fast. There’s zero development there on his character. And let’s not get started on the constant use of pet names, you could make a drinking game out of that. Way too repetitive.

For the spice, it was there, but that too was repetitive and got boring quick. There’s barely anything in book 1, book 2 is when it comes around with the spice. And as you guessed it with virgin trope: no prep, just a monster c*ck with the girth of a coke can jamming itself right in in one single thrust. Lordty only knows how the FMC is actually able to enjoy the act when she’d be bleeding and torn up.

There’s way too much filler. The end is very anticlimactic. You sit through these two books and that’s it, no further exploration on characters and abilities and everything. Just bam: Epilogue.

The only reason this is getting 2 stars is because of the side characters, Liam especially.

Potential spoilers.

All right. I enjoyed quite a bit of the story, specially in the beginning. But after Grayson found Belle, things started to get somewhat annoying. It could just be me, but Belle started to annoy me and so did Grayson.

Like I get Belle, she definitely went through shit, but after hearing her not letting Grayson get a word out for the 9th time and repeating the same thing over and over again to him, it got painstakingly obvious that the author was just doing it to prolong that plot line for as long as possible.

And then the whole thing with Grayson not wanting to mate was just another unnecessary thing to prolong things.

I liked the previous book of this series duet, but for this one basically nothing happened. The beginning and ending were interesting, but all the in between was just filler. I read both this book and the previous one on Galatea. You have to wait so many hours for the next chapter to unlock or use coins to unlock it. I feel like most of this book was unnecessary and added to just make the story longer.

I’m disappointed in this book. I enjoyed the first book so much and was hoping the second book would be just ask good. Literally half the book is spent with Grayson and Belle in a emotional struggle that doesn’t add much substance to the plot. Felt it was filler that was made to be half the book. Once they finally made up the plot was sooo rushed and didn’t add up. There was so much potential with the plot but the book didn’t do it for me. Miss the mark. I did feel there was a lot of detail and well written sentence structure. Felt like I could feel the emotion of the characters. I really loved the characters and their story. Wanted more from it.

I think this is where I part ways with this series. This book just didn’t have the political intrigue that hooked me in the first one, and overall, it felt pretty flat. The whole ‘will-they-won’t-they’ dragged on way too long and went from entertaining to just plain frustrating. And as for the alpha-hole energy? Yeah, I have my limits, and this one blew right past them. So yeah, I’m tapping out—farewell!

This had me FUCKED up.

I felt like I never really knew what was about to happen, and absolutely loved it. I did want to tear Grayson apart for taking SO LONG to finally fuck Belle, but yolo I guess we got there in the end.

Speaking of end - I did nearly have to quit reading but the ending was just as perfect as it needed to be.

49/10 - not as good as the first but still absolutely perfect.

so fucking repetitive. this one is twice as long as the first book and for what. wasting my fucking time for absolutely no reason. it's 3am and i'm pissed that i spent the last 4 hours of my life on this bullshit

it is genuinely evil how much the miscommunication trope is abused in this book. jesus fucking christ i cannot emphasize how infuriating it was to read the same exact argument literally every single paragraph. and it NEVER resolves. these people seriously cannot learn their goddamn lesson can we just have ONE productive conversation please i am begging?? i have never felt pure seething rage at anything this badly before. i hate belle. i hate grayson. liam is slightly more reasonable but i hate him too. fuck everybody in this book yall are sooooooo stupid !!!!! like mind-numbingly stupid. it is shocking how consistently stupid their thought processes were.

the main reason i'm so mad is because i genuinely enjoyed the first book, it was a fun and goofy time and i was really looking forward to more. massive disappointment.

i will allow only one compliment. despite being stupid, it's surprisingly feminist and the sex scenes are good #consentissexy

----

i'm pretty sure this book is exclusive to the galatea app (which i've heard needs a paid subscription) but i found a full copy of it online so that's what i read. it is so obvious this book is not meant to be consumed in a single sitting and was made purely for a prolonged type of business model. i hate the netflix-ification of books please don't give these people your money, piracy is valid and encouraged because everyone deserves free access to books

5 STARS!!!!! SPOILERS BELOW!

Love love LOVED this book, the 1st and 2nd together were just 👌🏻. I read them both in 4 days total, couldn’t put them down and I couldn’t get enough of Grayson and Belle’s relationship. when they final got back together it was incredible. I usually hate, and I mean HATE being made to wait so long for plot to be revealed but the author wrote this in such a way that I was more than happy to wait for Grayson to explain everything to belle. The amount of time we were also made to wait till they finally did the deed was long but the build up was so good🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ I PRAY for a 3rd book, no idea if it will ever come but I hope it does cos I need more of these 2 in my life 😂

This book was a lot better than the first. But it has so many small things taken out of other books and used in this book. It was cute and smutty. Im getting really tired of these men not communicating with their mates or telling them things that they need to know.

This is the second book to Kidnapped by my Mate. The writing has gotten much better since the first book. However, it still struggles with some plot holes and character progressions. There are certain things in the story that, when the story ends you still want answers to.

Aiight I guess. Coulda used less misogyny and alpha male bs. The male protagonist got humbled and saw the error in his controlling and information hoarding behaviors but that was only temporary and really didn't recieve any real consequence or attitude adjustment.

it went on & on & on
she ran away and the distance almost killed them both then once he found her he didn’t explain that he was possessed by vampires and that’s why he treated her like shit bc it wasn’t him. They didn’t mate until the end bc he was afraid for her safety yet in the end she ended up saving his ass and killing their enemies with her faerie powers.

Book 1&2 needed to be condensed into one book and then I’d probably give the full story almost 3/5 stars

Song: the cut that always bleeds by conan grey.

So 4 stars...honestly it would have definitely been 5 had she not rushed the whole thing at the end...but I love it honestly, def one of my fav series ever...and Grayson.. omg GRAYSON it's definitely an understatement to say that he is all I've ever wanted in a man ...omg he was freaking perfect and the writing of his character...omgggggg...I love when they're so obsessed like this but they're not toxic...like he's the perfect balance and I'm here for it.

154 update
I came for the romance, and I stayed because for me this book is everything
Since book one this series took a specific and special place in my heart...you literally don't get how special this series and people have become to me...it's 2 am I hav eto wake up at 7:30 am and I still can't put it down...I just can't get myself to leave them and sleep...and they're not even fucking together rn...and I'm just dying dude.

254 update:
Omg omg omg omg omg okay....so I literally have no words, but let's start from the beginning okay so literally everytime I tried to think about this book I got so anxious and worried in the best way possible...I literally could feel myself just tensing up thinking that if I start reading im just not gonna stop...when I stopped last night they weren't together...she was pushing him away and just would let him talk...and I was frustrated because I have alit of study that I literally don't have time to read...and that if I read i wont get to the point where he explains and they get back together...but then I started reading and omggggggggg they did...he explained and it was the best thing ever...them together make me so happy and content in a very weird way...and I wouldn't have it any other way...so many emotions and I loveeeeee it. The amount of love and care he has for her makes me love them so much more.

454 update
Okay I literally don't know why I always stop on the page something 54...it's kinda funny but omg. I couldn’t put this downnnnn...all the tension was so killing me...I felt like I've been holding my breath forever and now that she finally knows the truth...you can't begin to imagine my relief...this story is just making me fall i love even more everytime and it's the best thing I have felt in a while...I hated how uncomfortable they were with each other when they couldn't mate and I literally felt like I was feeling the emotions myself and when he took her to tell her everything I felt like I was experiencing this myself...I feel like this is what makes this book so special to me...that somehow it makes me truly feel all the emotions the sadness the tension the happiness the panic that relief the love. And I'm here for it.

100% update
Okay...so the épilogue wasn't really good...like yea I loved what happened but it was so rushed and the writing wasn't as compelling...though I would never judge this because of the epilogue I loved it honestly...it really is everything to me this series...I love me an obsessed loving man who would do anything for her...and I loved the tension and angst...literally one of the best series ever..but I liked when they were more obsessed and can't get enough of each other more...like the last book and first half of this one...dont get me wrong I love the tenderness and the sweetness of the endingbut i like morr the too much emotions that were consuming them before.

so I just found out this is the last Grayson and belle book...when I looked it up I thought they were 4...but now I realize it's about different people and I'm so freaking sad...like whyyyyy...I wanted more of them...I miss them already cmonnnnn Annie...I really wanted to see what was happening after everything we went through in the last 2 books...but no, the story is over and I'm so freaking sad.

Okay, I think this has cured me of my Galatea addiction. I enjoyed the first book and when it ended on a cliffhanger I happily started this one. The pull quote in which Grayson says, "There's no me without you" also promised more romance.

And the first half was actually well written even though it was unnecessarily long and all based on a misunderstanding.

So thanks, Annie Whipple, I think I'm cured now, and can go back to reading actual books. Reading this just proved the value to me of editors, proofreaders and publishers. I didn't want to pay for bodice rippers, but I see now the difference between self-published drivel and romance novels that have been worked on by professionals. So I will happily pay good money just to read a satisfying romance from now on.

This book took me back to my twilight days. Nostalgia at its best! Gotta love the ol vampire and werewolf fighting over a human trope! (It wasn’t super twilight-y but a little bit).

Ugh this book messed with my emotions! Again I was just as addicted to this one as the first but It took them far too long to communicate properly and make up. Then far too long for them to “complete the mating process”.

“Come give Daddy some sugar.” No Kyle. Just no. Don’t make me hate your character because of this one line.

The fighting scenes were a little odd in my head and I just felt like they could’ve been better.

Spoilers:
The first battle we were made to believe they were training really hard for and then the opponents show up and just take themselves out?! That was weird and anti-climactic.

Second battle was just against two vampire men hiding behind an invisible shield messing with the palace’s force field and diddling with cloning powers?! Ehh kinda lame.

Also, I found it a tad strange that after Grayson turned into a wolf then back to human so he could talk to the enemy dude, he just kills the man while in the nude. And then he just hung out helping out the injured just being naked. I guess if you’re just as good looking as the book makes you seem, you have no shame. But it’s like he’s shifted plenty of times and has always had pants nearby!

Still overall I’d say this was a great two book series of a story.

It was good. The miscommunication nonsense, could’ve wrapped up more. The mating stuff dragged out and I was so bored after they finally mated.

I get the spicy scenes but it almost felt like it was compensating for a lack of storyline.

I loved the supernatural royal angle. I loved Queen Evangeline and the warlock aspect.

The spicy stuff just got repetitive.

I’d read a prequel of the original immortal royal faes. I’d want to know more of what happens in the supernatural world with a king and queen of the world.

Exploring more powers.

Or the fae kids- do they live forever?

Still good book. I actually liked the Maine storyline but thought that they were a hidden fairy tribe hahah.

Liam’s dad- prick but not enough story development.

Also, where did his sister go? She just disappeared?

Good story. 4 / 3.5 stars. I hope it evolves and gets beyond fan fiction of fan fiction (Belle for Bella swan and Greyson for Christian grey was a nice nod to the concept).

I liked the plane aspect of their meeting in the first book but some stuff needs a bit more editing before it becomes a published series, but I see this doing well.
