Well, S. Massery sure knows how to make an impression! Not only did I enjoy the hell out of the first book I've ever read from her, but I'm dying to read the second! She left me jaw dropped, and I need answers!

image host

Somehow I had forgotten that this was a duet by the time I read it, so the ending hit me harder than it may have otherwise. I'm glad for it though. I was naively expecting a neat and tidy happily ever after to emerge, and then, bam! The author pulled the rug out from under my ass! I can't complain though. A fall has never felt so good.

image host

I'm not a huge fan of an easy love story with a cookie cutter ending. I prefer twisted ones that are messy and complicated, and that's exactly what we have here. Caleb is an angry, broken, bad boy with secrets, and Margo is a girl that's experienced something so traumatic she lost her memory of it all together. They have a history, and their love feels beautiful and tragic all at the same time.

Wicked Dreams is a dark bully romance, and just in case you didn't know, bully romance is my shit! Therefore, I assumed I would at least mildly enjoy it, but what I felt after reading it was much more than mediocre enjoyment. I loved everything about it!
image host

The writing style drew me into the story immediately. I never wanted to put the book down, and in fact, I didn't until I reached that crazy cliffhanger of an ending. It honestly made me bump my rating up another star, but what I enjoyed most is the mystery surrounding Caleb and Margo's past. The memory loss trope is one I'm a sucker for, and I'm still losing my mind trying to figure out the missing pieces in Margo's memory! I'm equally pissed off and delighted that I have to wait for the rest of the story. One thing is for sure, I'll be reading the next installment as soon as it releases!

"We will be watching you, Margo… Rose Hill isn't how you left it."

Caleb Asher.
They were best friends when they were young.
Inseparable.
Until they weren't.
Until Margo Wolfe had to go away.
And that destroyed Caleb's world.
But now she's back.
She didn't have a choice back then and Caleb is making sure she doesn't have one now.
He's not the boy that Margo once knew. He's a king now.
He wants to break Margo. He wants her fear.
The more she resists, the worse his obsession becomes.
Even this king has one weakness.
Margo.

"She really is like a lost lamb, standing waiting for a predator to devour her. Me. I'm her biggest predator."

I received an advanced reader's copy in exchange for an honest review 🖤🖤

"Remember one thing about me… I'll do anything to win."

I know I say this a lot but at this point WHAT MORE DO YOU NEED FOR ME TO TELL YOU THAT S.MASSERY WRITES MASTERPIECE AFTER MASTERPIECE??
This book is no exception - it is a rerelease but it has loads more content and I was hooked already from the premise. Caleb and Margo have a mysterious relationship that we discover as we keep reading and yet we still slip into this mystery world which S. Massery writes absolutely impeccably. Oh and - THAT CLIFFHANGER?? ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? OMG I CANNOT WAIT FOR THE REST OF THE SERIES 🖤🖤
LOVED IT ✨🖤💫

"I will not bend to him. And I will certainly not break."

You have Margo Wolfe who is coming back to Rose Hill after some *history* that went down and she goes to live with a foster family who enrolls her in Emery-Rose Elite. Where she cannot escape her past - especially not Caleb Asher. Now if you want dark hockey bully romance look no further than S. Massery and her collection of fictional men you can INSTANTLY fall for because Caleb Asher is just that. Now he puts the *bully* in bully romance but Margo Wolfe is no little lamb (even though he likes to call her that). She can hold her own even if it costs her in the end. Mystery after mystery unravels in this book and with that cliffhanger I am absolutely chomping at the bit to get the next one!! Caleb and Margo have a toxic relationship but in the best way and I cannot be rooting for them more thank you very much 🖤🖤

"Remember one thing about me… I'll do anything to win."

despite devouring this shit show with enthusiasm, i did not like this book. i’ve come to the realisation and acceptance that high school romance isn’t for me. not anymore. it can be the greatest written book in existence and without doubt it would infuriate me. i feel too old (and am too old) for the setting and the characters are almost always immature, so everything feels unrelatable and far removed from my life, i can’t connect with anything. it’s too much for me to bear witness to and handle without a severe level of frustration.

however, taking into account some heavier and darker romances i’ve read and been reading, wicked dreams was a soft “dark romance” and was a nice palette cleanser, hence the two star rating. otherwise, i fear i would’ve rated this one star instead. essentially, i decided to read this book with perfect timing. i appreciate that this book didn’t demand my full undivided attention, nor require my entire thought capacity to follow along. it was brain dead, mind numbing reading entertainment that made me laugh at myself.

“i’ll swear to god, margo, i have the urge to kill whoever touches you. i don’t give a flying fuck if they’re a friend, because all that matters is how i can possess you. my touch. my words. you’re mine.”

caleb asher is one of the biggest fucking losers i’ve ever had the unfortunate experience reading about. in classic bully romance fashion, the male main character is always controlled by an overwhelming feeling of betrayal, usually caused by the love interest. we don’t have any of the answers, but we’re told on numerous occasions through multiple characters that margo hurt caleb and ruined everyone’s lives. so, as one way to “get back” at margo, his childhood best friend and victim of his attitude, caleb is sweet and charming by fucking both of margo’s ex best friends, and later forces them to be nice to each other in some strange, twisted game with no real end result? this child isn’t tortured, or complex but rather an asshole who bullies and stalks margo. frankly, this boy was one massive red flag who should’ve done everyone a favour and walked himself into traffic.

he’s the portrayal of perfection, and i am a wreck in comparison.

margo wolfe’s as ridiculous and needed to establish a backbone. for too long she allowed herself to be bullied by everyone, especially caleb. i realise that she’s potentially supposed to be this kind, soft soul, a direct contrast to everyone else’s awful behaviour, but for someone who had a difficult childhood, i’d rather have read about a character who has become hardened by life and its harsh realities. i find in most, if not all bully romances that the main female character is always weak, feeble or too dumb to live with intense body betrayal syndrome and margo fits all of the categories flawlessly. she lacks confidence in herself and possesses an iota of self-respect.

i felt that all of the characters, including the supporting ones, were flat and fell into cliche high school tropes. caleb’s best friends have zero personality or purpose except to fulfil his inane requests and provide filler content. margo’s issues with amelie and savannah, who are her old best friends, did not make sense as one minute she doesn’t want to deal with them but in the next breath is upset that they don’t want to be friends? riley’s a classic nerd and social outcast who wastes away inside the library away from the “cool kids” and becomes margo's best friend.

truthfully what really irked me about this book is that there’s numerous mentions of margo’s betrayal but nothing is revealed. don’t keep your readers invested and wanting to know more, if there’s no intention of revealing anything to keep us interested. i understand that authors don’t want to reveal all of the details, but there’s no reason some information can’t be shown. everyone seems to know what happened except margo because she’s so conveniently blocked her memories, yet no one hints as to what the fuck happened!

overall, wicked dreams was far fetched and wholly unbelievable. i understand that this is fiction and sometimes i must suspend moments of disbelief. however, when the book has been set within a realistic world, it’s difficult not viewing this with a keen attention to what feels real or doesn’t feel real. the idea that adults don’t seem to notice abhorrent teenage behaviour, or do and are too afraid to do something to prevent it from happening astounds me. i have minimal interest in this series to be honest. however, i despise leaving things unfinished (and some small part of me does want to know what happened between caleb and margo) so that will be one way to keep me reading on.

Margo & Caleb were friends once upon a time but 7 yers later when she returns to the town, to the same high school Caleb’s going, she finds that something changed him for the worse, leaving a monster in his place. He’s not the kid she knew once, he’s dark and insufferable...

Told in dual POV, 1st person, it’s the first installment in the "Fallen Royals" series and ends on a cliffhanger but book 2 is already out. Wicked Dreams is my first read by this author and I enjoyed it. It’s angsty, a bit intense and dark themed (but not really that dark). I liked the writing and I was captivated. At the end it left me with so many questions. All in all, it was a good read and hope you like it as well!

So, if y’all have been here a minute you know I’ve been on semi-hiatus since late spring/early summer. My family has moved and we’re mostly settled. BUT, I haven’t quite got my reading mojo back. I’ve read some good books - some great books, in fact. None of them, however, have had me reading every spare minute. Until Wicked Dreams. It’s a familiar plot line. Except it’s not. Yes, Caleb is a hockey player. Yes, he’s a bully. Yes, Margo is a Virginia. No, you can’t guess the rest. Chapter 40 is gonna sucker punch you while Sara sits back and laughs.

Read it. Then pop in my DMs and tell me I was right (and that my ass looks great today).

Agh! Again?!

So this one ends on cliffhanger, no even a little one. It’s a huge blow up where reading this book was pointless because apparently none of it was true. The H makes up lies and tries to manipulate the only good foster parents that this kid has had into getting rid of her. Weirdly enough, the things he is spouting off are beyond ludicrous! She didn’t even try for something that could make us feel for the foster parents, but the author has apparently bowed out of having anyone believable at this point. I like bully stories but there is nothing redeeming about this guy at the end of this book. There is nothing to come back for. He is angry over something that happened when they were 10 and won’t let her have a seconds peace. It seemed like he did, but it was apparently just a mind screw. If the author gave at least a hfn with a temporary resolution it would be ok. Im wondering if she is a moron? She is apparently of the thought that if she screws over her readers by tricking them into reading a series that won’t conclude for 6 months, then they might desperately pre order her book to find out what happens. Me? I will do the opposite. What I do with authors (of books that I like) that aren’t greedy, are honest upfront and give each of of their books a satisfying ending (even if there is a continuation) is that I leave good reviews, preorder their next books, and follow them on social media. What I do with greedy people like this person, is write the truth in my review, refuse to order the sequels (why bother, I certainly can’t trust them) and usually forget their crappy book pretty quickly. I may be just one person, but I’ve read enough reviews to know that I’m not the only person that feels this way. Way to lose money by being greedy!

Wicked Dreams by S. Massery

3.75/4 out of 5 stars

Wicked Dreams is a bit of a difficult book to rate. Normally I know what number I'll roughly rate a book. But now I am all over the place. A part of me absolutely loved it. And another part of me missed quite a lot of things here and there.

The book starts with Margo going to a new foster home. She had to leave her two foster sisters and their home and she is placed alone with Lenora and Robert Bryan. The two sisters are placed elsewhere.
Being placed in a new home is rough. But being placed in a home in your native town is even harder. Margo grew up here and everybody knows that her mother preferred drugs and sex over her daughter. So that she got placed into foster care. She used to have a few friends, but they lost contact in the 7 years that she was gone. And now that she has returned they hate her with a vengeance.

She returns to Emery-Rose, a fancy private school and Caleb Asher, her childhood friend, instantly lets her know that he loathes her. And he bullies her straight away.
Savannah, another childhood friend, just plainly ignores her.

Though Riley, a new girl, instantly becomes her friend and confidante. I love how their friendship evolves throughout the book.

And even though Caleb hates her with everything inside of him.He cannot stay away from Margo. He has a constant need to touch her, claim her, make her his. He is jealous and harsh. And the more he touches her the farther he wants to go. And Margo cannot resist his touches. She sees these small glimpses of the boy she used to know. Remembering they got married as children. But those memories are often cruelly removed by his damning behaviour in the present.

Slowly but surely their bond changes. Her heart is wide open. But that is the biggest mistake she could have made. And things happen, go awry and she is thrown into hellfire.

I absolutely loved the angst in this book. Both Margo and Caleb had a certain depth to them. They both are hiding things. And all the secrets pile up and up and up.

SPOILER ALERT IN THE NEXT PARAGRAPH:
I was a little disappointed that almost none of the secrets are revealed at the end of this book. Why does he hate her so much? Why does he loathe her parents? He does something unforgivable, but why? I know he must have a damn good reason. But why does that trump what he feels? What he started to feel?

Margo and Caleb do have a certain chemistry. And I enjoyed that. But it isn't an allconsuming sort of chemistry. I didn't feel their *** scenes in my bones. Some were written rather flatly. And I just wish I felt each and every touch they gave each other.

Margo does evolve. But I just wish she had a bit more depth. More of a presence throughout the entire book.
I also wished that Caleb's chapters were a bit deeper. I think they were written rather flat in order to keep all those secrets a secret. I just wish we got a little more. A bit more to completely attach to Caleb. I think that was a huge missed opportunity.

But all in all it was still a fantastic book to read! So I'll rate this beauty around 3.75/4 stars out of 5.

I am absolutely excited to read the next book in this wonderful series.

This is the first story in the Fallen Royals series and is not your typical high school story.

Margo has been in the foster care system for about the last 5 years. Her father is in prison and her mother checked out on her. She has just been moved to a new home with a couple who are very loving and welcoming. If things go well they may wish to adopt her permanently. The only
thing that worries her is that she will be returning to her old home town and potentially going to high school with people from her past.

Margo had every right to be worried and right from the first day things do not bode well for her. She is vilified and treated like a leper. People are just downright cruel to her. She does find one new friend though and Riley turns out to be someone she can count on. The person she had been the most worried seeing was Caleb. The boy she fell in love with as a young girl, her best friend growing up.

Caleb has a lot of pent up resentment for Margo and he plans to make her pay for every damn thing that has gone wrong in his life due to her. The problem with that is that in doing so he also remembers how important she was to him, how important she still is. He goes from hating her to wanting to possess her, in every way.

Underpinning all of this are anonymous text messages, a mountain of secrets, disloyalty and a few jaw dropping truths that will leave you out on the edge of a very high cliff!

The choice of narrators was fantastic, they really brought the depth to this story that only audio books can bring with intonation, expressions and sounds ;-)

Ok then... I keep telling that I'm done with highschool bully but I also keep reading it like an addicted.
I guess I just need help! LoL

I couldn't read anything after Sicko, so this audiobook was my solution.

This book starts like mostly highschool bully's novel...
New girl, hot jock, blurred past between them, mean girls... Blah blah blah.

I started to enjoy this story in the middle of the book, when he wasn't so bastard to her anymore, but unfortunately she was still a doormat.

But this is a trilogy, so I still don't understand half of the book, or at least, half of the secrets and things that go south in their past to justify his hatred actions.

This book ends in a cliff, so I guess that I'll go to the next one now.

About the narrators, I really enjoyed Stephanie's voice and narration, since her chapters where more easy and clear to understand.
I didn't liked much Troy's narration. I don't know if it's an accent or just his diction, but I have trouble to understand a lot of words in his chapters.

I'm giving 4 Stars for now.

Spicy Level: 🌶️🌶️/5

So, Wicked Dreams. This was not at all what I was expecting, but I think it has officially unlocked a new sub-genre of books that I like to read. Now, I did like bully romance before, but I’ve never really read high school bully romance, and I low-key kind of love it.

𝙎𝙮𝙣𝙤𝙥𝙨𝙞𝙨:
Margo Wolfe is a foster kid who has a father in prison and a drug-addicted mother. She is recently taken in by a foster family who lives in the neighbourhood where she grew up with her parents. Since her foster father works at the local high school, they enrolled her in Emery Rose Elite. However, this is not the first time she has been to the school, as she went there when she was 8 years old and fucked up Caleb Asher's life. Margo and Caleb were best friends when they were children, they even at one point got "married" like kids do... Until something devastating happens, she goes into foster care, and all her friends in the town turn against her, including Caleb. Caleb has sworn absolute revenge on her, bullies her, and has this obsession with wanting to hurt her like she hurt him. But soon that obsession turns into needing to own her, make her his and the lines of revenge and lust become murky in a toxic relationship as he cannot seem to keep his hands off her.

𝙏𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙁𝙚𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨:
Now, I had to split my mind in two when it came to this because the first thing that should be noted is Margo is underage in this, but this book IS NOT FOR UNDER 18'S! if that makes you uncomfortable, I wouldn't read it. However, I have watched enough of Gossip Girl, Vampire Diaries, and Riverdale and any other series set in HIGH SCHOOL and they are constantly sleeping with each other and having intimate relations. SO putting aside her age I just went with it... I mean they didn't do anything that I would have done as a teenager, so I can't hold that against them.

Like those shows I mentioned, this has the same drama-esque feel. It is angsty, full of teenage drama and boys, and it literally felt like watching an episode of any of them while just inhaling it like popcorn. The writing is captivating and easy to read. It is very easy to get hooked on the story, and it quickly pulls you into their lives.

I think the characterisation of Margo and Caleb was done very well. Margo is very careful. She has been hurt before through her different foster homes, and she knows that her life is just temporary, so she doesn't want to establish roots or get too close to anybody. Because that ends up leaving her hurt and more damaged. She has had to put up quite a lot of walls and protection against her feelings because of her past; and as a result, when coming face to face with it she ends up having panic or anxiety attacks, as she has to deal with all of those repressed emotions coming to the surface.

Caleb is a dick. An Alphahole through-and-through. He's a total "popular boy" who has about 17,000 red flags, but somehow adults can't see this. So you automatically love him because of his bad-boy attitude. It must be his pheromones that just seep through the pages. He is pretty angry, and he's conniving and manipulative. He has learned how to manipulate the system, manipulate those around him, and, most of all, manipulate Margo. He very quickly gets her to bend to his will.

There is a lot of push and pull between him and Margo, and he kind of just forces himself into her life and makes himself a constant until she acquiesces because he's not going to go away. It did seem at times that the plot got a little repetitive—her finding something out and then ending up crying, something happening between her and Caleb, and then she ends up crying— and then the cycle repeats with him climbing through her window... BUT I WAS HERE FOR THE ANGST! I was there for the drama. I was there just to see what these unhinged teenagers would get up to.

𝙏𝙧𝙤𝙥𝙚𝙨 and 𝙈𝙞𝙘𝙧𝙤 𝙏𝙧𝙤𝙥𝙚𝙨:
▶ Dual POV
Enemies Hate to Love
▶ High School Bully Romance
▶ Who Did This To You?
▶ Cages Her With His Arms
▶ Hand Necklaces
▶ "Beg Me"
▶ Washes Her Hair
▶ Stalking
▶ "Jersey" Heat (when he freaks out at her wearing his jersey)

There are also quite a few twists and turns in this book, and there is just something about the way it’s written that makes me want to read more. There are ALSO SO MANY unanswered questions left open and hanging on purpose to make room for book 2. The book ends on a brutal cliffhanger, so I really cannot wait to see the next book.

Thank you to S. Massery and Valentine PR for my gifted copy.

Okay so this book wasnt bad...ok it was horrible. This story is about Margo the doormat and Caleb the bland hero but yet hot as Margo thinks but since she is a stupid doormat with green pea size brain, dont trust her judgement. Margo depresses the fuck outta me cuz all she does is cry and whine...like speak up for yourself will you? I legit dont see her standing up for herself or even talk about smtg else other than when she is crying or feeling bad for herself..seriously she has no personality. Caleb on the other hand, what in the name of drugs is he on? Which ever drugs he consumes... he gotta stop cuz he needs holy water. Like seriously? I dont get this dude, he is a borderline psychopath and not a hot or cute one, he is more annoying than fucking Margo, and he has grudges against her cuz she did something when they were 10...10 YEARS OLD! as i said dude is a psychopath cuz no sane person hold grudges against someone cuz that person did smtg when they were that young. After the cliffhanger we get an idea that dude is also Not shockingly enough..a stalker as well cuz he has been keeping tracks on Margo since she left and idk if he thinks he is cute stalker like Joe or not cuz he aint...he needs *help*. On the other hand, Margo LIKE THIS GIRL DOESNT SAY ANYTHING WHEN PPL BULLY HER...i mean SAY SOMETHING??!! i wanted to slap her seriously and after getting bullied she gets wet and Caleb fucks her and she lets him...where is ur self respect? Throughout the whole book all she does is think about having sex with Caleb or feel bad for herself, literally this girl does nothing other than this. I get it that this book is a dark bully romance but is it hard for authors to write a heroine that can atleast stand up for herself? Even in one scene? Cuz Margo the biggest doormat in the world DOES NOTHING TO STOP PPL FROM BULLYING HER! Not a word, not a fucking sound! And then.. she keeps thinking about fucking Caleb.. oh god my head hurts. Caleb’s friends are not his friends, they are his minions. There is no friendship bonding between them and its like they are his punching bag or smtg cuz all he does is fight with them throughout the book.

Another miss for me. I don’t understand the good reviews this book is getting.
To me it seems like the author took all the cliches from the genre and threw them in the book. One after another. No chemistry between main characters, side characters were not developed enough and the story lacks originality.
Not bad writing and that story could have been more enjoyable but it wasn’t the case this time.

DNF - page 44. The H’s lines to the h sent me to sleep. Repetitively calling her “sheep” as an insult - are they 5?? It all seems so one dimensional and uninteresting -sigh-

NOW WTF WAS THIS😭

⭐️4 🌶️3.5

Listen this book def frustrated tf out of me . The way everyone kept hating her because of her family , yet no one is giving her answers as to why they hate her specifically. It’s continuously implied she did something when she was younger , but going through the foster care system and therapy her mind has blocked out all the bad in her past as a defense mechanism.

The only person I truly even trusted was Riley tbh so I would’ve been so mad if she was involved , but that ending took me through a loop OMG .

Caleb plays games with Margo from the jump, but this was something else . I never knew how to feel about their relationship. I didn’t know if I wanted them together or not . The manipulation and gaslighting was on another level and she was so beat down constantly I’m not even mad that she’s constantly referred to as weak - tho Caleb keeps saying she’s stronger than anyone .

I’m so confused what his end goal is seeing as it ended on a cliffhanger , but the lack of answers in this one told me we would end on one . Whew I gotta jump into the next one quickly!

12/04/2021: Reread! Listened to the audiobook this time.

Disclaimer: I received an Advance Reader Copy at no cost from the publisher/author. All opinions in my review are my own.

This book was a total mindfuck. And I mean that in the best way. Like, what did I just read? It has been a while since I have felt so gripped by a book. I think that this book took a little piece of me.

The writing was fantastic. The author's writing voice was warm and inviting. The narration was smooth and welcoming. This book was so addicting. Once I sunk my teeth into this one I couldn't let go. The plot is kind of mind-blowing because of all the suspense in the story. At this point, I have no idea what was foreshadowing or what could have been red herrings. Everything is up in the air at this point. And with that shocking ending, I am chomping at the bits to read the second book.

These characters really jump out at you right away. I felt that Margo's character was very relatable and likable. She was a very vulnerable character. Caleb's character was a bit of a mystery throughout the book. You could never really tell what his intentions were. His character was very fascinating. The secondary characters were really intriguing but I really wished that we got more of their personalities. I really wanted to get to know them more thoroughly. It felt like we only got bits and pieces of them and the bits we got didn't feel substantial.

I don't even know what to think about the romance in this book. It starts out like your typical bully romance but turns into I don't even know what. Margo and Caleb were childhood best friends so you could feel their connection through the pages of the book. Even when Caleb was being terrible. Their chemistry was palpable. And when things heat up between them it gets hot.

Overall, this is a raw story that is full of secrets and intrigue. The suspense in this book is biting. It will leave you a mess. If you like shocking stories full of angst then I suggest picking this one up. This book is brilliant.

I love S.Massery writing ! This book did not disappoint. I was always a little intrigued by Caleb when he made cameos in the Hockey God series. I kept putting off reading this series and I don’t even know why to be completely honest. So today I decided to read and unsurprisingly I really did love it. The mystery surrounding Margo story is addictive and obviously we learned almost nothing in this first book specially because their story is a trilogy. And the betrayal in the end and the cliffhanger 😫😫😫 now I wanted to immediately go to the second book but can’t since they are being republished and will only be re-release on the 10/18/24 😩😩😩😩😩😩 I feel so much for Margo and I want to decapitate Caleb ! What an absolute fucker 😤🤬

Giving this one 2 stars because it has such a promising build-up. Poor girl moves into a rich neighborhood and sees her ex-best friend and then BAMN nothing ever happens afterward. It was unbelievably boring.

Unknown: Heard you were back.
I tilt my head and give it a few seconds. Then I type back.
Me: Yes.
Unknown: Watch out

The angst and heartbreak that I'm feeling right now... On the other side, I'm also amazed. That cliff spined the whole story around, it caught me by surprise, and all I'm thinking right now is how heartbreaking, beautiful, raw, and real the story was.

I can not wait for the next book, and I'm also hoping we'll be getting his friend's stories as well.

S. Massery is my newest slayer of young adult romance. A new-to-me author who became an insta favorite. Massery is a master storyteller with writing that sinks its teeth into you and never lets go. WICKED DREAMS caught me, claimed me, and catapulted me into an addicting world of tantalizing tension, thrilling twists, and fierce fire. This book made me burn!

”You’ve always been mine.”

Cruel Intentions meets Cinderella in Wicked Dreams, a story that’s as savage as it is sweet. A deliciously dangerous game of cat and mouse with a devastatingly handsome devil of a prince, and a beautiful and broken princess whose past together is tangled truth laced with lies. Massery seamlessly shows the beauty among the broken and the fierceness among the flaws in this tale full of torment and tension, but tenderness too.

I fell for a monster.

As soon as I dove into the Fallen Royals world, I didn’t want to come up for air. I basked in the best mix of heaven and hell on this roller coaster of a read that’s part thriller, part romance, part suspense, and everything amazing. Wicked Dreams was my guilty pleasure. A dark drug in words where I couldn’t get enough hits. PURE INTOXICATION. I need more now!

Our destiny is to crash and burn.
