Child Psychologist Bridgette Dickinson is at home as far as children go but she’s all at sea when it comes to cruising , navigating her way around was a hopeless task. Thankfully a cute little girl she bumps into she could ask , as Bridgette’s family was on the pool deck waiting to meet up, little Felicity was engrossed in the video game Wade her brother made up, on hearing this the child was elated. Eager to meet her hero , she was eager to go with her new friend , but of course she was a stranger so there was no way she’d take the child from her dad , who was nowhere to be seen so they waited. That got her a little mad until the child said he’s just over there and a little bit busy … Sawyer the dad in question was mobbed by adoring fans , his mom couldn’t travel so he was in a tizzy. “But that’s what my dad does.” Felicity explained. “He hits people all the time.” On this introduction Felicity was quite afraid until Sawyer told her the real job he had and where his money was made ….but he was a little secretive until her brother blabbed “Bebe, this is Sawyer Kaine. He's one of the top quarterbacks in the league. He plays for the Louisiana Storming Cobras.” Her daddy took in her profession and perhaps this was the reason for his confession? Telling her about the loss of his soulmate Lily in childbirth the worst thing on this earth. “Are you sitting here daydreaming about daddy quarterback?” Known to her family as Bebe her sister to her and their family teased “Bebe has a crush.” to which her sister wasn’t best pleased , as was all a blush .. with the greatest of ease did Felicity tease and Sawyer react “You do remember I am a professional athlete right?” And that’s a fact.
“I might not know a lot about football, but don’t you just throw the ball in the air and hope someone catches it?” There’s a mountain of chemistry and little Lil is so cute and sweet , it really was love at first sight for the child she did meet, but her dad is also a stunner and he’s holding her heart to ransom , that and him being handsome , but her declare this ? He’d do a runner!?….This really is an awesome sweet read , does the quarterback and the child psychologist make an happy ever after pairing? Of that I’m not sharing , just know this . I’ve read their sweet , heartfelt story and it sure is bliss….🤗 The writing by T L Russ is super immersive. The cute little girl , she captured my heart and I was willing for their love story to start. Awesome endearing characters and an uplifting tale , great storytelling too, I’m telling you this , because this book won’t fail, to put a smile on your lips and a satisfying exhale , now that’s not remiss.

Bridgett and Sawyer meet when she befriends his daughter while he is signing autographs. He is a widower who has closed off his heart after the death of his wife but watching Bridgett with his daughter brings down the walls and has him wanting more in life. Will he and Bridgett get their chance for happiness together. This story had me cheering this couple on to getting their chance.

This is the 1st book I have read from this series and I enjoyed seeing these two meet, get to know each other and work through obstacles they faced. I really enjoyed seeing Bebe and Felicity connect, seeing Felicity's reaction to Wade and seeing the protectiveness that flared in Bebe.
