When my sorority turned on me, I knew something was off.Desperation led me to an unexpected refuge—a fraternity house shrouded in secrets. Thirteen demons call this place home, and to my shock, their powers can't touch me. My greatest fear has always been vampires, thanks to a haunting childhood memory. But when I meet the vampire in the attic, everything changes. He's different, and despite my terror, I'm drawn into the college play with him as my co-star. As our rehearsals bring us closer, a sweet, forbidden romance begins to bloom. Amidst this, I start to build a new family with these demons, discovering there's more to me than I ever imagined. But darkness looms over this newfound family.
The head vampire discovers my presence, and a chilling ultimatum is laid before someone must pay for spilling their secret to a human.
This was such fun to read mostly. There is quite a few grammar issues which is what took it out of a 5 star. One other thing I struggled with was the 14 guys, I know they were all introduced and some come up more than others, but I couldn’t tell you who they all were, hopefully in the following books some of the lesser known ones get to see more page time. Our FMC is an arts nerd who loves to read (I couldn’t relate more to a character, so I was hooked straight away). Who is the sole human… or is she???? Even though there are 14 guys, it is not a RH, she only has feelings for one of them. We have vampires, shifters, mediums, psychics, warlocks, gargoyles… such a great mix of the supernatural Found family - both chosen and biological More YA - the spice scenes are minimal and not super descriptive.
I absolutely loved this book by Serena . The visuals she creates make me feel like I’m there the whole time. The demons are as hot as ever and Amelia is a bada**. This book caught my interest so much and was filled with so much drama, headache, found friendships, love and so much more. I love everything by Serena to be completely honest
THIS BOOK!! The world building, the characters, and the details are amazing. One thing I really like about the way Serena writes is that all her chapters have titles.. it's a small thing, but it makes a difference for me. My new fav number is 13, and I'm DEFINITELY Team Oliver!
Amelia is thrust into this world of demons, and her finding out that these things exist and not just in her nightmares is truly a shock. Vamps, incubi, psychics, mermen, and more. I can't wait to read the next book in the series!
Serena really knows how to ensnare you! I was entranced the whole way through. The amount of detail that is put into this book is incredible. The storyline had twists and turns that kept me coming back for me. Our FMC was a damn strong girl! I loved her
The banter was top-notch! I wouldn't expect anything less from Serena! The growth of the characters through certain areas was amazing to read. I loved each character, they all played a huge part in this book. And Seth! I love him! Plenty of humour, angst, a sprinkle of fear thrown in. Absolute brilliant blend of emotions. There were parts I was on the edge of, my seat not daring to breathe. I so enjoyed this book! I do not like Mr Pierce!
OMG this story was soooo good. Serena Knights has fast become one of my favourite auto buy authors. I absolutely flew through this story. Love the fact the FMC is such a strong character Amelia the FMC leaves home for college and arrives at a sorority house thanks to her mother and grandmother pulling stone strings. She finds out they’re all horrible to her who live there so walks out in the middle of the night and is found by some kind guys who bring her back to stay at their frat house. She finds out that the house is full of 13 demons in some form or another. The story follows Amelia getting to know her housemates and the ups and downs of living with demons. There are so many great characters in this book that tbh it’s better you read the story and find out for yourself. Love the unusual way that a song for the play Amelia gets involved with is actually in the book. Using a QR code you can listen to it which I have never seen before in any other book. There’s slight spice in the story but it’s a great storyline so it fits in. You won’t be disappointed if you love stories about demons, friendships and an ending leaving you wondering what’s gonna happen next. Go out and get it asap. You won’t be disappointed. Can’t wait to read the next one which I will be doing as long as I get some sleep as I’ve stayed up till 3am finishing this one. Could not put it down. Serena Knights you are such a talented writer. This is my second book I’ve read from yourself and it certainly won’t be the last.
I absolutely love reading books by Serena Knights because she does not disappoint. She always delivers on character building and an amazing plot in the story. This book was no different. The thing about BEASTS was there was a VARIETY of mythical creatures to enjoy. Thirteen to be exact. DEMONS galore! My favorite was Oliver, a vampire that had a touch sensitivity. OMG was he sexy🔥🔥!! There was also a werewolf, a merman, catshifters, incubi, and some others to enjoy all in the house with Amelia, whatever she is they don’t know, but their powers don’t work on her. Oliver and Amelia are in a play together and work on a duet. I love that the song is in the book. You can scan the code and listen to it on spotify. OMG that is so awesome! This is my first opportunity to do this while reading a book.. The lyrics were written as part of the chapter. It just added to the essence of that scene in the book. Serena you always end the book where you can’t wait for book two to be released. I am so ready for Angels! Thank you for another great read! TEAM OLIVER!!!
🌶️ Slow-burn level: 4/5 Pain Level: Betrayal & Secrets Shelf Status: Displayed like a sacred relic 💀📚
Beasts by Serena Knights absolutely devoured me. 🩸 This isn’t your average college paranormal romance—it’s a wicked blend of betrayal, power, slow-burning forbidden romance, and found family that hits HARD.
I wanted to slap every fake sorority girl in the face and hug every one of those demon boys. The romance is slow and aching and so worth it. And the vampire in the attic? He lives in my mind rent-free.
✨ Full of secrets. ✨ Fueled by trauma and strength. ✨ Topped with a satisfying punch to the face of toxic manipulation.
And YES—my physical ARC is officially my shelf crown jewel. 👑
I've only recently discovered Serena Knights work and I have to say it's instalove on my part lol Beasts is the second of her books that I have read and I loved it just as much as the other one... so much so that I have already went and purchased another 3 x books before I even finished this one!!
Beasts is the story of our FMC finding herself homeless in a new city when starting college, she is taken in by a Frat house full of paranormal beings... what could possibly go wrong??
I loved the world building, each character is well thought out and even better written, the book from start to finish is enthralling and inticing. It draws you further and further into their world as you progress through the chapters, with its unexpected plot twists and surprising developments it has gotten me hooked and super excited for book two!!
Beasts offers a richly imagined paranormal world that feels immersive and well considered. The worldbuilding is the clear standout, grounding the story in a setting that feels layered and intentional rather than rushed or overly familiar.
The characters are likeable and solid, and the writing maintains smooth pacing throughout. I especially appreciated the care taken with atmosphere and structure. I would have loved to see a bit more emotional tension in Oliver’s arc—some added push-and-pull there could heighten the connection—but overall the craft on display is strong.
This book reflects thoughtful editorial work and clear series potential, and I’m very interested to see how this world and its characters continue to develop.
Another great book by Serena. I love the whole premise of this book--a girl bullied by her nasty sorority sisters, only to be taken in by a frat house full of demons, and finding a sense of friends/family amonst them. Sometimes, books with this many characters can be muddled or hard to follow, but I found this easy to read and distinguish between characters and their personalities. The romance between Ameila and Oliver was spot on for me what I wanted in this book and seemed to fit the college age feel. I will be excited to read book 2 ,Angels, to see how Ameila navigates keeping all the guys in line.

This is my first book by Serena Knights, and I can only rave about it. If you are looking for a book to help you shuck all of your responsibilities and to get lost in; then this is your book! It had so many mythical people in it while keeping it fun and not feeling overwhelming. It had such an airy and fun nature to it. The relationship that builds is definitely shipable (I feel that's a word). You will be routing for them throughout the story. I highly suggest ignoring all faucets of life and giving this story a try!
This was such a great read from Serena Knights!!! I love that her style of writing immerses you in the story and causes you to fall in love with her characters. The interactions between Amelia and all of the boys in this story make it that much better. I really enjoyed the interaction between Amelia and Oliver as well and was rooting for them from the beginning. I look forward to more stories from Knights in the future!!!
If you enjoy vampires, shifters, and other mythical creatures, you should definitely check out this book! It is well worth the read and the adoration!!!
The sorority house is really atmospheric. I didn't like the girls though. Hugh and Nolan were kind.
I found her meeting with them mysterious, though. Their frat house was immediately mysterious, as were the peopple there. Niles, Richard and Hendrik, as well as Kane, Reyes and Valentine were realistic.
I liked the way Amelia's accommodation situation was sorted out.
The pacing was really good and I enjoyed this first book in the series
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This book had so many plot twists that it made my head spin, all in a good way! There was beautiful character development, the plot line was interesting and kept me on my toes, and the author made me fall in love with all of the characters. I am excited to read book two to see more of this story unfold. I couldn’t put this book down and I know the second one is going to be the same.
On Amelia's first day at her new sorority house and University, she is turned on by the rest of the sorority and flees. She meets two males who invite her to stay in their frat house, except none of them are what they seem.
It is a fantastic, fast-paced, well-written read that is a slow burn, filled with angst, twists and turns and found family.
I adore the triplets, their characters are as playful as they seem.
Serena Knights books are amazing. The way she writes makes you feel a part of the story. This book is no exception. You fall in love with all the characters. I love the interaction between Amelia and the boys in the frat house. I'm on team Oliver and loved the interaction between him and Amelia. If you love vampires, shifters, and more, then you will love this book.
This story slowly yet definitely creeps into your heart. The characters are interesting and are so different from each other it creates several different storylines which is exciting to us (the reader)! Touching and very relatable, this is a story you don't want to miss!.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Beasts will immediately pull you into a magical world full of mythological creatures. It features a wide variety of supernatural creatures like werewolves, vampires, demons, and more! As per usual, Serena knocked it out of the park with her world building and her incredible characters. I LOVE the lyrics that were added! Oliver is delish! Fantastic read!
This is an interesting book! I would put this solidly within YA - the spice isn't excessive and most of the story is plot rather than just romance. I enjoyed the interaction between the characters and the development of the FMC - I do wish, though, that the tension and drama in the story were more intense, as I felt somewhat disconnected from what was happening throughout.
This was an awesome book 1. The world building was on point, the plot interesting and the banter amazing. I loved the characters, and each and every one of them is crucial to the story. The descriptions are immersive, and the narrative never feels stuck or rushed.
Serena throws you into the thick of things and keeps you there. A house full of demons? The world building, the magical creatures, and the build-up. It was all there. The banter was on point. Amelia is just what these demons ordered. While I'm currently on team Oliver, those triplets are super loveable.
Spicy, paranormal (so many different monsters - vampires, mermen, shifters), new adult romance. I received a copy of this book and am leaving a review of my own accord. Very steamy and fun with some surprises.
Absolutely loved this one! Had all sorts of paranormal creatures that all got along. Amelia was an amazing main character and she never backed down and always supported her friends. Can’t wait to read ‘Angels’ and see what happens next.
This is probably one of the most unique stories I’ve read in a while. I absolutely loved it!! The author did an amazing job with not only the world building, but the storyline and characters as well. I didn’t want to put it down and I didn’t want it to end!! Can’t wait to start the next book!
I rather enjoyed this book, the idea of a bunch of supernaturals at a college/university was really well executed. I like the natural banter between the characters and can’t wait to see what happens next.
Side note: I would also get up at 5:30am for revenge, it’d be worth it.
Absolutely adored this book! The guys are delicious and the tension? I'm seriously craving book 2. Its really hard to surprise me when it comes to books but the ending? Mind. Blown.
I love the characters that Serena has created. They are all so different and unique and don't blend together at all (it can happen with books with a lot of characters). I also enjoy how she managed to make two separate worlds, the normal and supernatural, and blend them together seamlessly based on the characters involved (Amelia's parents get the normal version, not the supernatural etc..).
The book progresses nicely overall, some parts seem a little rushed, but overall great pacing. It keeps the reader engaged without overdoing the drama and fast paced scenes. I picked up book 2 immediately after finishing this one.
Thank you to the author for this ARC. This is my honest and voluntary review.
Leave it to Serena to write an amazing book to capture your attention right from the start. There is an amazing amount of world building and character development. There is a perfect amount of plot and spice🌶️. I definitely had some moments where I audibly screamed 😂 you just can’t be a good plot twist !!
I cannot wait to see what happens in book 2 with Amelia and her guys. I’m excited to also meet new characters along the way!!!
