24-time USA Today bestseller Sarina Bowen's first holiday collection! Enjoy three complete holiday romances from Sarina Bowen. You’re getting:

Boyfriend: a complete holiday novel with a hilarious premise.

Rent a boyfriend for the holiday. For $25, I will be your Thanksgiving date. I will show up in a nice shirt, talk hockey with your dad and bring your mother flowers…

Everyone knows it’s a bad idea to introduce your hockey crush to your messed-up family. But Abbi really needs a date for Thanksgiving, even if she can’t say why. But when she tears Weston’s number off of a flyer, she accidentally entangles Moo U’s star defenseman in a ruse that neither of them can easily unwind.

Crossroads: a novella of missed connections, broken dreams and two hearts that just won’t quit.

Damien Rossi drives a taxi but dreams of more. Specifically, he dreams about Nicolette Overland, his favorite client, a lonely beauty who lives in an actual mansion on a hill.

Nicolette can’t stop thinking about the hunky guy with the soulful brown eyes, either. She looks forward to every Christmas holiday when she knows he’ll be waiting for her at the airport. But when she screws up her courage to finally tell him how she feels, it might be too late…

Blonde Date: a novella of hot nerds, basketball and revenge.

Katie is done with bad boys after some very poor treatment by a fraternity guy. Now, facing a holiday Greek event, she needs a date. A nice guy this time. Good thing a certain nerdy basketball player wants to audition for the role…

Note: Boyfriend (68k words) is separately available, Crossroads (35k words) is brand new, and Blonde Date (30k words) has been previously published.

I picked this one up for the Crossroads novella, as I've already read (and enjoyed) the other two holiday stories in this book. I wasn't disappointed. I love the Rossi family and it was nice to be back in Vermont with them. Damien Rossi is the brother who's story we hadn't gotten. I loved reading about him and Nicolette. Right person, wrong time, but it worked out so well at the end. My only complaint is that I wanted more of them!

Boyfriend - These two were simply perfection! They pulled me completely into their world, and I was feeling with them every step of the way. All the pain, that deep soul scarring pain they had, along with the light and happiness that burst free at the good moments. Their chemistry could not be denied, but it was their empathy that really solidified their connection. The lessons they learned already in life along, with those that come with gaining maturity, made these two irresistible <3

Crossroads – Damian is the always-steady-there-in-the-background Rossi, and we finally get his story! He is full of emotion, and we get to see him from a young man to the mature person he becomes. He has so much heart, but his patience and caring is what makes him stand out. Nicolette has a long journey as well, hers a little more lost and tinged with sadness. Her growth is always right there, it just takes her longer to realize it. These two grow from acquaintances to friends to distant friends to lovers, and it was a wonderful and beautiful ride to be on with them

Blonde Date - Katie, or Blonde Katie, or K1, and Andy B have their blind date, and it goes really well. Not what either of them expected, but the start of something they both need. Loads of sweetness, sizzling heat, and the promise of more 😊

(ARC Review) 5 stars

I thoroughly enjoyed this! Holidating is three standalone holiday stories, two previously released and one brand new novella, bound into one edition so I’ll do a quick review of each.

Boyfriend - I gave this one 5 stars when I read it in 2021. It’s a fantastic fake dating, new adult sports romance, and I’m saying that as someone who doesn’t particularly like new adult. It was fun and steamy with great banter and I just really enjoyed myself reading it. There aren’t a lot of Thanksgiving romances out here for some reason and this is definitely worth the read!

Blonde Date - I gave this one 4 stars when I read it in 2022. This is a new adult novella with a geeky basketball playing MMC and the hot blonde he’s set up with. It’s a great opposites attract romance and has important messages about consent. It does feature characters from the author’s The Ivy Years series (which is phenomenal by the way) but can be read as a standalone with no problem.

Crossroads - This is a new novella following Damien, the final Rossi sibling from the True North series. Though this can be read as a standalone, it was nice to see the Rossi family again. Damien is a taxi driver with a crush on one of his fares, Nicolette. This follows them over the course of 15 years as he gives her rides at Christmas.

They’re quite young when they meet and the plot takes them far apart from each other at times, but I loved following their journeys and how they were eventually brought together. There is a certain sadness to their stories which i love - not everyone is happy at Christmas and I think it’s good to recognize that. There could be some triggers for people in here so be careful but I really really enjoyed this story! It was so great to be back in Vermont and I just can’t get enough of this world.

Sarina Bowen has released a collection of novellas! Featuring two previously-released and one brand new novella, these are not strictly holiday-related stories, but they are great reads that can all standalone, and I loved this collection.

Boyfriend - 4 stars
Sold separately (68,000 words)

A fun fake boyfriend/girlfriend romance, this is such a gorgeous read!

Weston is a college hockey player who hires himself out as a fake boyfriend for Thanksgiving. Abbi works at the local sports bar where the team hangs out, and she jumps at the random opportunity to hire her crush to accompany her to an awkward family dinner. Turns out Weston has been crushing on Abbi too, and their date goes so well that when Weston needs a date to go home to his family for Christmas, he invites Abbi to return the favour and come along as his fake girlfriend.

I love a fake romance set-up, and these two are so freaking cute together! They have moments of awkwardness, but their friendship is easy and natural, and their banter is so much fun. And when the ‘dates’ are all over and done with and neither of them are ready to say goodbye to the other, their friendship continues, and their not-so-secret attraction builds until they finally act on it.

I’m driving her wild, and I feel like a superhero. If the superhero were a super horny, college guy who’s fallen deeply in like with his fake girlfriend.

I love these characters! Abbi has had a really hard life but she’s brave and strong, and I love her resilience and determination. Weston is a genuinely good guy, and he’s so much fun. He’s exactly who Abbi needs. But while Abbi is desperate for love and a connection with somebody, Weston actively shuns love and doesn’t want a relationship. They have a lot they need to figure out, and it’s a gorgeous journey watching them do just that.

This is such a cute read. It’s quite short, so it moves pretty quickly, but there’s still quite a bit of depth in Abbi and Weston’s backstories. There’s a bit of drama and minimal angst before a very satisfying ending, and I finished this book with a big smile on my face.

4 stars.

Blonde Date - 3 stars
Available in EXTRA CREDIT – The Ivy Years novella collection (30,000 words)

This is a fun little novella that follows on from book #2 in The Ivy Years series, The Year We Hid Away.

At the end of the last book, Scarlet set up a blind date between her roommate, Katie, and Bridger’s friend, Andy. Spoiler alert: based on the noises overheard from Bridger’s dorm room, it clearly went well. Now, we get to see that night in glorious detail as shy and nervous basketballer, Andy, gets the chance of a lifetime with his secret crush, Katie.

Andy is gentle, sweet and caring, just the guy that Katie needs as she is still reeling from a cruel frat joke. From a sorority party to alone time back in Andy’s room, it’s really cute to watch these two get to know each other and start something that has real potential.

This was a great little extra, and I’m glad we got to have some bonus time with these characters.

3 stars.

Crossroads - 4.5 stars
Brand new novella (35,000 words)

OMG, this is a gorgeous little novella! It’s a sweet, emotional romance for Damien Rossi (of the Rossi family seen in the True North and Giltmaker series – though this can be read as a standalone).

Damien is a taxi driver with big dreams for his life, but with a big family and little money to spare, he’s just not sure how to make it happen. Nicolette Overland comes from the wealthy part of his small Vermont town, and though their families could not be more different, when Damien picks her up in his taxi to take her to the airport to begin college, they share an immediate connection.

Damien continues to pick Nicolette up whenever she’s in town. Taxi rides become shopping excursions, coffee and meals, but though their time together is effortless and they’re both feeling the attraction, they’re never in a position to do anything about it.

This story follows Damien and Nicolette over the years as they come in and out of each other’s lives, and OMG, I was SO on board for all of it! I loved the ease of them together, the way they obviously cared for each other, and the long-distance longing had my romantic heart all fluttery. As they both miss opportunities to say how they feel, the story twists and turns in directions I wasn’t expecting, until the stars align, they finally get their shot, and I loved watching this story play out!

I loved these characters, everything that happened felt so real, and my only complaint about this story is that I wish it was longer. I needed more of these two! But it’s a gorgeous little read, and I loved this story so much.

4.5 stars.

Quickie review of three novellas included in this Holiday Romance anthology by Sarina Bowen:

Boyfriend: 3.75 stars. This was a reread for me, but it was still a cute novella. It was on the longish end for a novella, which I like, and had a good, sweet story. My only complaint was it was a little low on chemistry.

Crossroads: 2.5-3 stars. This was not my favorite. It was a little slow and didn't keep my attention very well. I didn't love Katie and I felt no chemistry between the couple.

Blonde Date: 3.5 stars. This story was cute and had potential to be really good, but never quite got there for me. It was too long for the small amount of togetherness the couple had on page. Too many missed connections with no pay off.

I reviewed the other entries separately, so this is for Crossroads only, but I really enjoyed it. I have a weird relationship with the True North universe, but I love the Rossis and their books always hit for me so I very much enjoyed spending time with them again. Loved Damien and Nicolette. Also really liked the framing around pop songs and holiday music for some of the chapters.

And with that, I think I've read all the holiday books I intended to read in December. Woo.

I'm a big fan of Sarina Bowen and have read almost all of her books. After enjoying Blonde Date and Boyfriend last year, I was really excited to dive into Crossroads. Unfortunately, this novella left me feeling a bit sad. Fifteen years of loneliness, only to end with a single date—it just didn't feel like enough. I've loved all the Rossi siblings' love stories, but Damien absolutely deserved better and more. I’m truly disappointed to have to give this one 3 stars.

I picked up Holidating when I met Sarina at the Rain City Author Event back in September, and I'm so glad I finally picked it up! A perfect read for the holiday season, with one short(er) novel + two novellas centered around the holiday season!

*MINI REVIEWS*

BOYFRIEND:
Weston and Abbi were perfect for each other! I enjoyed this introduction to Moo U so much! The premise was unique, what with the rent-a-date from the hottest guy on the hockey team, who happens to hang his number on a flyer on the bulletin board where our FMC works (and she's a waitress who frequently has to serve the hockey team, plus she's got a crush).

I loved how neither had the perfect home life, but they were able to open up to each other about their struggles, and that led to something more blossoming. I LOVED how protective Weston became of Abbi, and how Abbi managed to stand up for Weston in his times of need as well. And when the holidays were over, they couldn't go their separate ways... throw in some fake dating that turned into real hooking up that turned into MORE... with a sprinkle of I'LL TAKE CARE OF YOU. It was all just... great.

BLONDE DATE:
OMG ANDREW *swoon*

I really enjoyed this novella! The set-up was perfect, and I liked how the main characters brought the opposites attract vibes to the relationship, but with so much respect for the other person. I also love when the person in front of you is nothing like you imagined but you can't stay away because something feels so specifically right.

CROSSROADS:
A unique take on right person/wrong time. Nicolette and Damien meet when he picks her up at her mansion to take her to the airport in his taxi. We see their relationship develop across years and life changes. And we actually get a lot of depth out of about 150 pages... my heart broke for these two in individual ways. I loved that Nicolette was a girl who had the world at her fingertips and she couldn't decide what she really wanted to do, and Damien had the odds stacked against him, yet he worked so hard to make something of himself.

I’ve read Boyfriend and Blonde Date years ago and loved them. So all that was left was the new one, Crossroads…and I loved it!

Damien Rossi and Nicolette Overland’s slow burn story, which spans 15 years, was so sweet and magical. I had to finish it in one sitting. And I found myself tearing up. I love SB’s writing style. I loved the whole atmosphere of the book, being back in Vermont, and it had me thinking that I’d love to do a reread of all the stories about the Rossis and the Shipleys…sigh
This was just a feel good story about two people who were right for each other the day that they met, and you just followed along on their journey of life’s twists and turns, knowing eventually they’d find their HEA. The only thing that would make this perfect story more perfect would be an epilogue.

Holidating is a great collection of stories from Sarina Bowen that are fun to read at any time but especially during the holiday season. Two of the books, Boyfriend and Blonde Date, were previously released and Crossroads is a brand new story.

I really enjoyed all three of these stories and didn't want to put them down. Sarina has a knack for creating relatable characters who are interesting and likeable and the characters in this collection are no exception. From the beginning of each book I was hooked and looking forward to seeing how they reached their HEA.

I highly recommend this collection and Sarina's other books as well!

Boyfriend - 5 stars

I read Boyfriend when it was first published, and loved it!

Abbi's been working her ass off to graduate. She works shifts like mad at The Biscuit, waitressing, making tips, and drooling over the resident hockey star, Weston (Westie), who is a regular with his team at the restaurant. Then one fake date, a Thanksgiving feast, and some flirty banter later, and suddenly these two are about to prove fake can be so very, very real when the chemistry these two have has its way with them.

I have to say this first - Westie is the sweetest, swooniest BBF I've read, in a long, long time. Though he was totally anti-love, it was obvious that he was more than capable of it, and would be falling for Abbi, in a very short amount of time. She was absolutely as sweet as he, the two were perfect for each other. Their banter was funny and witty, their chemistry was hotter than hell, and it was wrapped up in a sweet epilogue. I can't wait for more Moo U hockey love now!

Blonde Date - 4 stars

Andy's going on a date with the beautiful girl he's crushed on since he first saw her. He can't believe his luck, and he's going to do his best to convince Katie that nice guys really don't finish last.

Katie really doesn't want to go to this party where she'll have to see the jerk ex she just broke up with. But at least her date seems like a really sweet guy. He's so different from her ex, and not just in looks. Soon she's finding herself really enjoying their date. Is it possible this good guy is the right guy for her?

Katie and Andy are adorable. It was obvious Andy had a huge crush on her, but going on a date with her allowed him to see her as more than just the girl he crushed on from afar. I love that Katie could see how truly good he was, and felt safe with him, which was so different than how she felt with her ex.

Crossroads - 5 stars

Damien drives a taxi in his small town, when he's tasked with driving a beautiful new client to the airport. On the way, he and Nicolette get to know each other a bit. Then, as he drives her back and forth between her mansion and the airport, both develop decidedly more than friendly feelings. But alas, this is not their time, and they slip away from each other. Over the next 15 years, there are so many missed connections, missed chances, and it seems as if they'll never be on the same page at the same time. Until a very happy to help sister (Damien's) Zara decides to school her brother on things, and now, if Nicolette is of the same mind, their chance lies in front of them to grab.

I LOVE Damien and Nicolette. They're the cutest couple in this collection, and I was urging them on as year after year passed by with so many missed opportunities. Damien is freaking swoony af when he finally decides to go after his woman, and he had the best cheerleader in his sister. Though I was starting to get a little weepy, thinking these two weren't ever going to get it together, I was all smiles by the end when they seized their moment and ran with it. I love these two so much that I wish Sarina would write a whole series about them.

In her latest collection, Holidating, bestselling author Sarina Bowen delivers three delightful holiday romance stories that showcase her talent for crafting authentic characters and heartwarming relationships. This anthology brings together a novel and two novellas, each exploring different facets of love during the festive season. While the collection maintains Bowen's signature style of witty dialogue and genuine emotional depth, some stories shine brighter than others.

The Stories

Boyfriend

The centerpiece of this collection is "Boyfriend," a full-length novel that follows Abbi and Weston's fake dating arrangement during Thanksgiving. When Abbi needs a date to avoid her toxic ex at a holiday gathering, she responds to Weston's amusing flyer offering boyfriend services for $25. What begins as a simple arrangement evolves into a touching exploration of family dynamics, trust, and unexpected connection.

Bowen excels at creating believable chemistry between her protagonists. The natural progression from playful banter to deeper understanding between Abbi and Weston feels organic and earned. Their shared vulnerability, particularly during intimate moments, adds depth to what could have been a predictable fake-dating trope.

Crossroads

The second story, "Crossroads," presents a poignant tale of missed connections between taxi driver Damien and his wealthy client Nicolette. This novella spans several years, tracking their evolving relationship through holiday encounters. While shorter than "Boyfriend," it packs an emotional punch with its exploration of class differences, timing, and the courage needed to pursue happiness.

Blonde Date

The collection concludes with "Blonde Date," a charming novella featuring Katie, a college student seeking a nice guy after a traumatic experience with a fraternity brother. This story effectively balances lighter moments with serious themes about trust and healing.

Strengths

Character Development

One of Bowen's greatest strengths is her ability to craft multidimensional characters who feel like real people. Even supporting characters receive careful attention, from Abbi's complicated family dynamics to Damien's military experiences.

Emotional Authenticity

The author doesn't shy away from difficult topics, addressing them with sensitivity while maintaining the overall hopeful tone expected in holiday romance. Characters deal with real issues like:

- Family trauma
- Social class differences
- Personal growth
- Trust after betrayal

Setting and Atmosphere

The Vermont setting comes alive through detailed descriptions and local flavor. Bowen's intimate knowledge of the area adds authenticity to the stories, particularly in "Crossroads" with its vivid depiction of rural New England life.

Areas for Improvement

Pacing Inconsistencies

While each story has its merits, the pacing occasionally feels uneven, particularly in the shorter pieces. "Crossroads" sometimes rushes through important emotional beats that could have benefited from more development.

Genre Conventions

Some readers might find certain romance tropes predictable, though Bowen generally manages to add fresh elements to familiar scenarios.

Length Disparity

The significant difference in length between the novel and novellas can feel jarring, potentially leaving readers wanting more from the shorter stories.

Writing Style

Bowen's prose is engaging and accessible, striking a perfect balance between description and dialogue. Her ability to capture the internal monologues of her characters adds depth to their interactions and helps readers connect with their emotional journeys.

Particularly noteworthy is her skill in writing romantic tension. The author excels at creating chemistry through small moments and subtle interactions, rather than relying solely on physical attraction.

Recommendation

Holidating is recommended for readers seeking meaningful holiday romance stories that go beyond surface-level charm. While maintaining the warmth and joy expected from the genre, these stories offer deeper explorations of relationships, personal growth, and the complexities of modern love.

The collection works particularly well for those who enjoy:

- Character-driven narratives
- Holiday settings
- Complex family dynamics
- Contemporary romance with depth

Perfect for curling up with during the holiday season, these stories remind us that love often appears in unexpected ways and that sometimes the best gifts are the connections we make along the way.

I had read Boyfriend and Blonde Date back when they were already published. So I thought I would repost my reviews from then below. However, Crossroads is brand new! So I have a new review for that one below as well. All three are perfect for the holidays! And if you love Sarina Bowen, you definitely don’t want to miss these.

Crossroads Review:

Damien and Nicolette have a 15 year love story in the making. Meeting when they were 19 and 20, Damien’s job was being a taxi driver in their small town in Vermont and picked up Nicolette to take her to the airport for college. There sparks the beginning of a friendship and a connection neither can shake. But it takes them a long time for anything between them to happen. Between college, the army, relationships, and more, these two never get the right moment. And as the years pass and they catch glimpses of one another, it is clear there is something there. But never are in a position to do something. I really adored these two and though it makes me sad for them to have taken so long to get together, their slow love story was still beautiful and they eventually get the happy ending they deserve!

Boyfriend Review: I read this back on September 27, 2021

When Moo U Hockey series ended, I was so glad to hear that Weston and Abbi were getting a full-length novel! For those who have been with the series from the beginning, Weston and Abbi had a novella that kicked off the Moo U Hockey world. Their story was short and sweet. The beginnings of their potential relationship. But now we get the full story. That novella was in this book, but a lot more information was added and it continued past where that novella left off. And I gotta say, I'm super glad it did! Weston and Abbi are such great characters and when we first met them I definitely wanted to know more. So Abbi is a waitress at a popular wing place the hockey team goes to a lot. She has always had a crush on Weston but he is known as being a guy that is basically allergic to relationships. Plus with her intense work and school hours, Abbi really has never had time to do anything fun. She has to work hard to finish off school and get a job so that she can afford to live on her own. Her own family is her step-father and his new wife and the creepy step-step brother. Her mom died a few years earlier and she never knew her dad. But when Weston posts an ad about offering to be a fake boyfriend for someone on Thanksgiving, she takes it. Not just because of her crush for Weston, but she needs a buffer against the jerk step-step brother. Weston has been avoiding his own home for holidays since his parents split. The anger there is just not worth it and has made him sworn off relationships. But when Abbi messages him with an offer for Thanksgiving, he takes it. And he is glad because he realizes Abbi is the attractive waitress he likes. Their fake relationship turns to real friendship over time. To the point where Weston asks Abbi to be his fake date for Christmas. Eventually the two realize they could have something a bit more real. But the official relationship? Well, it'll take a bit before the two of them will admit they want something more. Loved their story! I couldn't put it down. Their chemistry was fantastic. The humor as always is great in Sarina's books and you just can't help but love the characters she creates. Such a great addition to this series. And again, so glad she gave them a full story!

Blonde Date Review: I read this back on June 26, 2020. Here was my review from then!

I loved this novella! It was such a cute and fun story about Katie and Andrew. Both of whom you meet in The Year We Hid Away. Now we get a story with their point of view and their story. And both of them are adorable. You learn about Katie asking Andrew to be her date in the previous book and now we get to see how it went. At first Katie is worried about running into her ex at the party, but after confessing an embarrassing secret with Andrew, he surprises her and turns the night into a fun one. As they get to know one another and enjoy their date, they realize that something is definitely sparking between the two of them. A really cute story about two characters that I definitely wanted to learn more about after meeting them. If you liked the books so far in the series, make sure you don't skip this one!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

HOLIDATING, is a collection that includes two previously released stories and one brand new novella! Each centers around the holidays and each captured my heart in a different way.

Boyfriend -

Boyfriend is so stinkin adorable and I'm so happy Sarina decided to write this book and add it to the Moo U collection. It is a fake relationship to friends with benefits to something more.....

Weston and Abbi both have a homelife that is a bit messed up and they end up using each other as a fake boyfriend/girlfriend over the holiday season. What they never imagined was a friendship that would blossom from the original fake arrangement, but once it did it was hard to stop the feelings that became even stronger with the more time they spent together. However, they both agree to a short shelf life in their non-existent relationship. Weston doesn't do relationships, ever and Abbi is graduating in a few short months and plans on moving to another state. What they have should be easy, but it becomes anything except that.

Weston is goofy, playful and kind of quirky, "Playful, dirty Weston does not disappoint." Pretty much all sides of Weston do not disappoint. He was all sorts of fun, sweet, and thoughtful. The exact guy you'd want to bring home to the family, if he was a relationship kind of guy. It's really too bad he isn't.

Abbi is also quite a catch. She's smart, a hard worker, and also cute with quirkiness. Abbi draws all of Weston's family into her light and they can see why Weston supposedly broke his rule for never dating, even if they never knew it is a total farce.

These two truly belong together and it shows the longer they spend together, if only they could figure it out themselves. Boyfriend is a wonderful feel good book, that is light on drama and full on playfulness.

Blonde date -

Katie needs a date to her sorority holiday mixer and asks a classmate, Andy, to go. Andy is both sweet, caring and a bit shy, but also exudes confidence when he needs to. He's adorable, like a boy still growing into his body, and on the brink of the incredible man he's becoming, he's exactly what Katie needs when previously she's been surrounded by toxic masculinity by dating the wrong men.

Andy has had a crush on Katie since the start of the semester and now that he has a chance, he wants to make the best first impression he can. Andy is so sweet and I couldn't love him more for Katie. She really needs a guy like Andy by her side and this short story is packed with holiday cheer and a couple who finds each other at the right time.

Crossroads-

Damien and Nicolette's story is all about timing. Damien and Nicolette come in and out of each other's life for years and their timing is never quite right each time they see one another. This novella is a bit bittersweet at times and had my heart racing at others. While it would have been nice to have a wonderful, happy, tied in a bow- holiday story, it was also a reminder that some love stories take time and for that it just makes it all the sweeter when it eventually happens.

Holidating is a collection of Sarina Bowen's stories set during the winter holidays.
Boyfriend and Blonde Date were already published, and Crossroads, the unpublished one, was a nice surprise and a good addition.

Crossroads: Nicolette and Damien only meet during Christmas break when she comes back from college and she needs Damien taxi services, but during this brief encounters they manage to build a nice friendship. Will they have the courage to ask for more from this relationship or will they keep seeing each other only during vacation?

I love these characters together. They easily speak to each other and they can see their true value, and even if life take them on opposite path, they will always have the comfort of their memories.

I was invested in this story from start to end. I've adored to see the Rossi's family here and there throughout the story. This novella left me wanting to read more about Damien and Nicolette, so to cheer me up I'm gonna to re read the True North series.

Boyfriend: I absolutely loved this story, fake dating and nice characters are always a win for me.

Abbi is one of the waitress of the Bisuit, the best thing of her working there is the eye candy when the hockey team's table is occupied. She has a thing for Weston, a Moo U hockey player, and when she sees him hang a flyer on the restaurant bulletin where he offers to be the fake boyfriend to take home for Thanksgiving, she decides to contact him. Their day goes so well that when Weston asks Abbi to go home with him for Christmas, she accepts without even thinking about it. Now that they know each other better will the line between fake and real blur leaving them confused? Or will never be a future for them as a couple?

I just adored Abbi and Weston, I turned pages so fast to reach to the happy ending they deserved.
They are so sweet, they have so much in common, they understand each other family's troubles even if they are different.
It was really enjoyable to read about their fake dates and the blooming of their true feelings.

Blonde Date: This novella is a nice and enjoyable read.

It tells the begin of Andy and Katie's relationship. Andy, the lanky basketball player, thinks he hasn't any chance with Katie, the beautiful sorority girl, but fate puts her on his path and after an unexpected first date they both seems enthralled.

I istantly loved Andy, he is just so cute and sweet. He is the right guy for Katie because he shows her that guys can still be gentlemen. They are perfect together, they are playful, lovable and endearing.

I still hope Katie and Andy have their full book.

I fell in love with Sarina Bowen's writing after reading one book of hers and now many years and many books later that love has been consolidated.

Note: This review is for an ARC and is my unbiased opinion.

Holidating is three amazing holiday romances from Sarina Bowen. The first two, Boyfriend and Blonde Date were previously released while Crossroads is brand new. The first two, I read when they were originally released and was happy to reread them. Here my thoughts on each story.

Boyfriend was one of those books where I want to scream "I LOVED IT!!!" Everything about it was perfect. I don't even know what to start with. I think I will make things easy on myself and give you a little list of some of the things I loved about this book:

*The secret crushes Abbi and Weston had on each other were adorable. It made their interactions at Biscuits so much fun.
*The direction the fake dating situation went was cute and entertaining, but also brought out big emotions for Abbi, Weston, and me. I loved how they got to know each other better through meeting each other's families.
*The chemistry between Abbi and Weston was always hot, but the emotional connection made the transition from fake dates to friends to more all the more real. I adored Abbi and Weston.
*The Moo U hockey team was as fun as ever.
*Sarina Bowen proved once again that she can write NA sports romance like no other. I know she said she didn't think she was going to be writing this age group again before writing this book, but I hope how amazing it turned out gives her motivation to write more NA romances.
*I'm so happy this was turned from a novella to a full-length romance!

Blonde Date was the perfect addition to The Ivy Years series but can be read as a standalone holiday romance. It was cute and funny. I couldn't help but fall in love with Andrew. I knew he was a good guy after meeting him in The Year We Hid Away, but I didn't expect to love him this much. My only complaint about Blonde Date is that it was a novella. I wanted more Andrew and Katie! They were just too cute!

Crossroads was a present from Sarina Bowen to her True North fans. I was so happy to finally get Damien Rossi's story. I loved how he met Nicollette as a young man and how their story took place over years. The way everything developed was interesting and not what I had expected. It was a sweet romance that was fun as a novella, but I wouldn't have minded a full-length book for. It was that good.

Holidating is a collection of Sarina Bowen’s holiday stories. It includes Boyfriend, a full length novel which is separately available; Crossroads, a brand newTrue North novella; and Blonde Date, an Ivy Years novella that has been previously published.

Boyfriend is a standalone new adult, hockey romance set in Vermont. And it has a very original premise. The captain of the hockey team is advertising to become someone’s fake date for Thanksgiving. He gets $25 and a free meal, and the other party has a pretend boyfriend in exchange.

But the girl he ends up picking is the one he has a crush on. So their connection starts to deepen while they’re pretending the thing between them is real and trying to remember it’s supposed to be fake.

There’s fake dating, Thanksgiving dinner, Christmas shenanigans, chemistry for days, and fake kisses that turn real and lots of feels. Boyfriend is fun and sweet and heartwarming.

Blonde Date is an Ivy Years novella. A sorority girl needs a date for the Christmas party at the frat house to save face in front of his douchy ex, and ends up resorting to a blind date with a baseball player. The baseball player? He’s a sweetheart. A nerdy hunk who happens to have a crush on her. It’s a fun story with lots of heart and steam. I really enjoyed it when I first read it years ago, and I enjoyed it even more this time around.

Crossroads is a True North novella and it is brand new. Damien Rossi has been there somewhere in many of the books in the series, and it’s his time to shine. I would have loved Crossroads to be a full length novel so I could have stayed in this story longer, but I’ll take what I can get. I loved it. And Damien was worth waiting for. I will just say that our favorite Vermont taxi driver is sweeter and hotter than we even knew.

It is a standalone so you don’t need to know anything about any other story, but if you’re new to this series it could end up in addiction. Like any other story in this series. Damien meets Nicolette when he’s 19. But for one reason or another, and you’ll have to read the story to know what they are, they could never become more than friends. But he’s never forgotten her and even though she only shows up in their small Vermont town for Christmas and it’s been 15 years, there might still be a chance their stars get to align this time around. So there’s longing, pining, missed connections and lots of chemistry and Christmases. I think Damien’s story is well worth reading.

There’s not a lot that can beat a great holiday romance. Except maybe - 3 great holiday romances. And here we have it. 3 wonderful reads (1 full length and 2 novellas) all in one book. Here they are…..

Boyfriend (Moo U Book 1)
I always love it when a player gets played, and Weston Greggs (who is the biggest player of all), finally meets his match. Abbi is not the player that Weston is, but she jumps at the chance to have a mutually beneficial fake relationship that will solve both their issues with their families throughout the holiday period. The beauty of this story is that Abbi doesn’t want to try and trap Weston, she’s willing to see where the cards fall and just go with the flow. When things get a little intense and believe me they do, Abbi doesn’t bend to his whims, it would appear she can be equally as stubborn as Weston, who it seems, can’t see the wood for the trees. A sweet, fun, highly enjoyable fake romance.

Blonde date (an Ivy Years Novella)
The book follows Katie Vickery (blonde Katy) and Andrew Baschnagel from Ivy Years book 2 as they go on their first date. A date made more awkward for Katie as her douche of an ex boyfriend is also at the party. I loved these two characters in the previous book, and Andy was just the perfect gentleman. I loved his inability to believe in himself, it made him all the more endearing. Katie, a self centred sorority girl came into her own once she cared to look deeper. A wonderful quick read that left me with all the fuzzy feels.

Crossroads (a True North Novella)
As a fan of the True North series, this little novella won my heart. Every Christmas Damien Rossi drives Nicolette Overland to the Airport and back, he even takes her shopping. In fact I think he’d drive her anywhere (and never charge her a penny) if he got the chance. Every year they make googly eyes at each other, but take it no further. Then one year Damien’s not there for her. Herein their lives take a very different turns until again, they’re thrown into each others trajectory. Personal circumstances have changed though, but it would appear the feelings are the same. A lovely novella with two beautiful main characters (both inside and out), that had me praying for their happy ending, they most certainly deserved it.

I received an advanced copy of this book. This is my honest review.

Holiday romance x3

Sarina Bowen's latest release is a collection of three novellas, two which had been previously released and one brand new one. Each a perfect Holiday read, whether it be Thanksgiving or Christmas. They were all entertaining reads, heartfelt, emotional, sigh inducing, and steamy. A perfect Holiday collection.

Boyfriend

This is Abbi and Weston's story, one that had me smiling and sighing from beginning to end. Abbi was sweet, and her previous relationship had ended in a lot of unpleasantness. Weston was simply delicious and had decided to hire himself out for the Holidays rather than go home. Neither are looking for a permanent relationship, so faking it over the Holiday period suits them both. Abbi and Weston belonged together, their chemistry, banter, and heat were sparkling, brilliant, and hot. How long will it take for them to realise that they were perfect for each other?

Blonde Date

Katie and Andy's story was another sweet one. Katie needs a date to a sorority party and asks Andy. She'd been hurt in a previous relationship and wasn't looking to be in another. Andy agrees to take her to the party, why not, he's had a crush on her for a while. Andy is so sweet and caring, just the type of guy Katie needs in her life, one who doesn't take her for granted. I enjoyed watching their friendship evolve.

Crossroads

This was definitely my favorite of the three stories. If you've read the True North series, then you'll have met Damien Rossi before, if you haven't, no worries, you'll love him. This story follows Damien and Nicolette Overland over a period of ten plus years, beginning when Damien picks her up in his taxi. Their friendship had many highs and lows over the years, mostly due to circumstances and miscommunication. As the years passed feelings grew, but there was always someone or something standing in their way. Would they find true happiness together, or are they destined to remain just friends? This was a beautifully written story with plenty of emotions.

I thoroughly enjoyed all of these…:
BOYFRIEND:
I loved this! Ms Bowen has created two fantastic characters in Abbi and Weston.

What starts as a mutually convenient agreement soon turns into an amazing friendship with heat, heart and humour!!

Abbi has a difficult life, she is virtually alone with a very small network of friends. Working hard to secure herself a future.
Weston is a popular guy, star defence-man on the hockey team, he is never short of friends or company.
As these two embark on their ‘fake’ relationship it soon becomes clear to both that even though their arrangement has an agreed expiration date, neither of them is looking forward to it!

I was instantly invested in both these characters. The story flows really nicely and my heart ached for Abbi….but her strength was so admirable. I’m really pleased she took a chance on her boyfriend agreement with Weston!!
Another winner from Ms Bowen.

BLONDE DATE:
A fun college Novella about Katie who is determined to show her jock ex that she is worth more than he gave her…especially after he humiliated her in one of the frat house pranks.
Andy has always kept a low profile, he’s not a wide boy or big on drinking with the hockey players. He’s a nice respectful guy…when he gets the chance to accompany Katie, a girl he has been crushing on since he first saw her in class, on a date, he can’t believe his luck….but will he take his shot or will his manners win out…
Katie learns a valuable lesson on their date…you should never underestimate the nice guy….he just might surprise you..in a good way!
~~•~~
CROSSROADS

loved it….Damien and Nicolette’s story spans fifteen years and each section of time that passed had my chest aching that little bit more…their friendship becomes the most important thing they both look forward to each Christmas..but their timing is just never quite right!
I so enjoyed their interactions, Damien is such a great guy and perfect for Nicolette, he’s reliable and steady.

I was cheering for these two all the way ..I found myself wanting more of them, their future and of course the mad and completely loveable Rossi family!!

I’m starting my review with Crossroads because it was absolutely adorbs and made me feel so darn good, that I hated it came to an end! Such a terrific, well thought out novella that just bursts off the pages with happiness. I wanted so much more, not because this story is incomplete, but because they were fantastic characters that I could have read for days! 5+ ❤️s

✨✨✨✨

Moving forward to Blonde Date, which incidentally, I had just finished listening to about a week before I received this ARC! :) This story is part of the only series I have yet to devour by Sarina, so this came just in time to remind me I have to continue with my #AudioBinge of the Ivy Years this weekend!

I was pleasantly surprised by this story because I didn’t even feel their young age at all. It’s a short story so not a lot of room for 20something OTT shenanigans, but they are young and also so endearing and cute! There are so few authors that accomplish this on the regular, but Sarina is one of them and I love her more because of it! 4.5 ❤️s

✨✨✨✨

And now for the pièce de résistance (lmao) … Boyfriend *happy sigh* *heart eyes* times one billion! This story was magic when I listened to it back in 2021 and it was magic today when I read it! It should be noted that it is because of this story’s magic that I am late reviewing this ARC! Obviously, I had to listen to it again! I’ve decided what I love most (of which there is plenty to choose from) about this story is how authentic Weston & Abbi were with each other. Their connection was instant and as they navigated their building feelings towards each other, they were honest with one another about it all, every step of the way. There wasn’t really any over the top dramatics or even conflict for that matter. It was a genuine story that entertains and fills the heart! Without giving it a thought, because she does have an extensive backlist, I’d say this is one of Sarina’s top books for me! 5++ ❤️s
