Simply Scripture for Easter is a beautiful Lenten/Easter study guide through the book of Mark (for Lent) and the Acts of the Apostles (for Easter). I love the simplicity in the layout and the progression from morning to evening. Colleen gives a guided direction in the beginning for how to best use the guide and I found that to be very helpful. There is not a lot of writing from Colleen as the intent is to get you into the Scriptures, but the insights she does provide are encouraging and insightful. The daily pattern is a nice cadence, whether you choose to read alone or with a group. This is one I will be using again for future Lenten/Easter seasons as well as recommending to those who ask for reading suggestions. I would love to see additional books for other books in the Bible or liturgical seasons.

I really benefited from this Lent/Easter resource. Because of the user friendly format, I could keep up with daily Bible readings and reflections.
