Book one

I enjoyed this. It's good science fiction with some litrpg. According to what I've read the litrpg will get used more in following books.

Well edited. I don't think I found much at all wrong in the editing. Anything I found will be listed on Goodreads.

Even though I'm not really a cat person, I did enjoy them in this story. I'm interested in seeing how the MC will evolve.

An interesting sci-fi, but only vaguely gamelit

As the title says, this was a fun sci-fi with a really cool spin on the future of humanity and space travel. However to call it gamelit would be almost misleading. It does have some screen style pop ups throughout, but the MC has no interaction with them at all till the very end of the book. Honestly they could have been entirely left out and nothing would ah e changed besides some verbiage. That being said, I do think they’ll come into play more in book 2. Or at least I hope so!

On another note, this really felt more space opera than the faster pace most gamelit/litrpg novels use. A large part of the book is almost a science fiction detective story as the MC tries to figure out several things. There is a little action, but the MC avoids it until about midway through.

Also we get dropped into the story and then have lots of hints and things given to us with little or no explanation to pique our curiosity. If you stick with it, by the end of the book you’ll have a decent picture but it really does take the whole book for a lot of things to solidify.

One long set up.

Calling this gamelit is misleading. There is very little story, this is just an extended set up for a series.

This was mostly fun but didn’t feel like the ending quite wrapped things up properly. Also, if you’re reading this for crunchy stats prepare to be disappointed, there aren’t really any. Fine with me but might not be for everyone.
