Rate this book
MJ may seem just like a normal 26-year-old, but her eyes hold a glimmer of ancient knowledge that comes from being the daughter of one of the most powerful scientists in the world. With a camera in one hand and a bow in the other, she dedicates her days to her passions and making a difference.
That is until the world crumbles around her, the adrenaline pumping through her veins as she races against time to save two innocent children. Upon returning to her home, MJ discovered the eerie silence that followed the passing of hell hounds and demons as they leave and make their way to a supposed haven.
Now in charge of ten others, she battles her own nerves, determined to protect them as she steers clear of her mother’s open arms. Without warning, the three fates materialized, their presence filling the air with an unsettling energy. Can she protect those she’s grown to love from harm?

The Demon's New Princess is the first book in the Devils Land series by Sam Ruiz. It follows the main character, MJ, through the start of an apocalyptic situation where she ends up in charge of a group of other survivors. Teaching them everything that she knows and ultimately making sure they know how to take care of themselves through the very unfortunate life they now have to live.

I really enjoyed this book! I thought it was very well written, and I thought it was really interesting that the book is from MJ's perspective, but it also includes her inner monologue. I think that this added extra depth to the story, giving us exactly what she was thinking while everything was going on. It kept my attention, and I didn't want to put it down! I am definitely looking forward to the next book in this series.

The Demon's New Princess will leave you wanting more and eager for the next book to come out! It does have some content warnings, so make sure you read those before picking this book up. But I definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves a strong female led story with an intriguing plot!

I absolutely love MJ! She is filled with anxiety on her normal day to day life. But the world has drastically changed in a matter of minutes. Demons and hell hounds are roaming around looking for someone. MJ rescues a brother and sister duo, and they join in with a group of people trying to find a safe place. This reluctant hero will have you laughing and is extremely relatable. I adore her inner monologs and the counting down to calm down in her head. I can't wait for book 2.

Wow this was so intense. It starts right off with action and keeps the action going at all times. I did not see some of the reveals coming and it definitely makes me want to read more. I can't wait to see what happens next. This was such a good book and it kept my attention the entire time.

The action starts early, and it's tense! The FMC is MJ and she witnesses the world around her turn to hell. I loved her protective nature.
The constant stream of anxiety inner monologue was so relatable. I loved seeing her connection with those around her grow.
Also, Fury!
Waiting for the next book!

MJ is seriously so funny to me. The way she didn’t know how to take care of kids but did it perfectly! I enjoyed this book and the way it was written!
Thank you Sam for letting me enjoy the adventure 🖤
