The blurb piqued my interest which was diminished by the execution.

Hayden couldn’t hold my interest, he looked softie and lacking backbone.
Addie was more relatable, but still didn’t fascinate me.
I didn’t care if she had to watch steamy video scenes as to pleasure herself.

Also, there were dialogues that sometimes I couldn’t clarify who was talking.

I just couldn't get into this story. I read it through hoping it would get better unfortunately it didn't. The writer made Hudson out to be a weak-kneed jerk when it came to being around Addie. Addie acted like a close-minded brat. The only mature one was Luna the child. So much could have been brought out in this story but it fell flat.

I love good second chance romance story a good story. Hayden Cohen ruined his relationship with Addie Flores when he accused her of his father's death.
Leaving him and her Abuelo behind, hiding a secret that she knew she couldn't tell anyone, she started a new life in Phoenix.
When her Abuelo passed away, she returned to LA for his funeral and finds that she inherits all his wealth, with the stipulation that she live in the mansion for 1 year.
And so starts the story of reconciliation.
Hayden and Addie's Abuelo were working together on a project to build a new hotel in the area. That meant Addie and Hayden would be seeing each other every day!
Hayden wanted to put the past behind them but Addie was not so forgiving, plus she had a 7 year old secret, Luna, that she had successfully kept hidden from Hayden all these years.
The angst and emotional rollercoaster ride this story brings, tugs at the heart strings. I am not sure I would have been as forgiving as Addie as she tries hard to work with Hayden on the project and when he suggests that they pretend they are married to help with the purchase of the parcel of land they were trying to acquire, feelings and emotions become entangled, until they finally give into their desires.
Addie needs to bring Luna, her 7 year old daughter, to LA to start a new life together. When Hayden first meets Addie's daughter, he knows in his heart she is his, even though Addie denies he is the father.
This sets another whole set of emotions as Hayden and Luna get to know each other and blend and gel so well together, as only a father and daughter would do!
Hayden tries hard not to be like his father, but admits he does have a temper, which he sometimes cannot control. This is evident several times through out the story and unfortunately for Hayden it is usually directed at Addie.
She decides to not make the same mistake as before and arranges to leave LA and give into her mothers demands of handing over the business and inheritance to her.
How does Hayden convince Addie that he is trying to be the man she so desperately desires, and to be the father to Luna she so deserves?
An all round heart breaking story of how to make the best of circumstances and accept the chance of taking life with both hands and hanging on and hoping for the best.
Addie and Hayden eventually have their HEA with Luna, but it is a rocky road to the end!
I found this story an inspiring read, worthy of your time if you are into second chance romance.

This is a great story by Ivy Snow about a woman and her six year old son and a billionaire grump. He is the baby’s father but he doesn’t know this. But when her grandfather leaves a stipulation in his will the crafty old coot knew just what he’d done , put in the boot and made her go there. To inherit the wealth she must stay in the family estate and complete the Hotel project with Hayden Cohen. He’s a pain but with everything to gain from this close proximity vane then she does what she has to. Which is all well and good but now they have to present themselves as a couple !public kisses the lot! Oh my word though she thinks they’re hot! And starting to feel real…oh no she cannot do this . He will discover her little girl …is his! She can’t dismiss it any longer. The damaged billionaire is devilishly handsome and he sends her heart and other parts soaring . Is this a recipe to an happy ever after ? Or a rollercoaster ride to epic disaster. Crash and burn or yearning for more . Rooting for the two of them so cute . Speaking of cute , that six year old girl. Come on guys sort yourselves out . Get the money and be on an equal standing . Then make a family and a second chance at romance will ya already and at least love withstanding. I’m in awe of the author and her writing , the ability to create characters that are interesting and inviting . I’m leaving my review voluntarily in my own words.

Second Chance at love

This was another great rekindled romance by Ivy Snow, with lovely chemistry between the main characters, misunderstandings, unknown daughter (some lovely father-daughter moments), fake marriage, a few twists and a sweet HEA.

Addie and Hayden grew up living near to each other until they gave into their feelings for each other. But when Addie went to give him some exciting news, he blamed her for his father's death and told her to never come back.

Eight years later she returns for the funeral of her grandfather to discover he'd left her everything, his house and business, but under the condition she live in the family home and work on a special project. She'd qualified as an architect and likes the idea of using her skills on her Abuelo's plans for a hotel; what surprises her is that there is a business partner for the project, Hayden.

As they begin to work together feelings are rekindled. Though Hayden connects with Addie's daughter, she doesn't know how to tell him the truth, and things aren't made easy when they agree on a pretend marriage to win over the owner of the land they want for the hotel. Can they have their second chance at love or will he break her heart again?.

I love second chance romances! And Hayden Cohen definitely needs a few chances. But he didn't give up and he took the steps to change and do better. That's what I eventually love about him, not just apologizing for messing up but doing what he needs to do to change.
I'm happy that Addie ultimately gives him the chance to redeem himself. I love books that share the character of strong women. Women that do whatever it takes to take care of themself and values her worth enough to not let someone else abuse her.
I think my favorite part was when she finally came clean and revealed the whole truth to Randall and his reaction. That took courage, but I do believe honestly really is the best policy even if it means you don't get what you want in the end.
This is an easy read and I enjoyed reading Broken Grump. The reason I gave 4 out of 5 stars is because there are some areas where the story jumps ahead with no lead into it, especially towards the end like the author rushes to wrap it up and leaves some holes in the timeline of the story.
But I am glad they got their second chance and their HEA!

This contemporary romance is page-turning with exceptional world-building and characters that exude power, are captivating, alpha, grumpy, and realistic. Their journey is enthralling with the broken grump in this enemies-to-lovers fake dating romance with forced proximity that is consumed by steamy, sizzling lust, passion, desire, and spice with all the feelings to leave readers breathless, needing a fire extinguisher, and begging for more, a secret baby, second chance romance, flawed and broken, single mom, secret pregnancy, past betrayal, drama, heartfelt emotions, action, adventure, and more. I recommend reading this book by an extraordinary author who knows how to captivate her readers' hearts and attention with the broken grump and explicit romance that is sure to transport readers into a world that is wild and unforgettable.

**SPOILERS AHEAD**

Hayden and Addie's story was OK. There were some inconsistencies and verbiage/wording errors throughout the book (not a lot but enough where I felt lost a few of times). The flow of the book was off to me at times as well. Some parts felt too choppy or uncomfortable and then it'd be fine. Their time-line made no sense to me. They are in their early 30's, met when young, then at 18 they got together, and Luna is 7--what?

Hayden was not a consistent character for me. He ran hot and cold and eventually his past was kinda there and then he decided therapy would help him be better for Addie and Luna. Addie was gone for 7 years because he said some nasty things to her and had Hayden's baby, never tells anyone about the father (and he automatically knew Luna was his by feeling it) and was all good with it--never mad about that. And I don't recall Luna being told who her dad was. Some events and characters in this book were not expanded on or explained all that well.

Though the concept of what this book is about is good and why I chose to read this--I think it could have been written a little clearer and flowed better.

Addie is the girl next door that he had a secret relationship with that ended with a baby that he didn't know about. When her grandfather passed away her inheritance included his house and business.

Hayden was working on a secret project with Addie's grandfather and the project passed to Addie. She didn't want anything to do with Hayden after the way he sent her away. She has conditions that she has to meet in order to get the inheritance and one is to complete the secret project.

Will Hayden be able to make up for his mistake? Will he ever believe that she didn't do what he accused her of? What will their relationship be like when he finds out that he has a daughter? Will Hayden and Addie put their past behind them and start anew? Let's finish reading to find out!

Addie and Hayden had a relationship seven years ago and she became pregnant. She hadn't told him and because of Hayden's temper when saying hurtful things to her, she left and never came back, having her daughter on her own.

Now, seven years later she must return due to her grandfather's will that states that she has inherited everything. There are stipulations to his will that force Addie to stay and work with Hayden, who she hates. She also must interact with her horrible mother that complicates her life even more.

Their story gets even more complex when the other characters are introduced, especially the ultra-religious Randall and his judging friends. It was an interesting dynamic between Allie, Hayden, and Randall.

Ivy Snow is a wonderful storyteller, and "Broken Grump" is no exception. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Hayden and Addie as youngsters were friends until one night they give in to temptation, but when Hayden who has a bit of a temper blamed her for his fathers death, I mean how? She moved away taking a piece of him. Several years later she returns home as her beloved grandfather passed and left everything to her ( thank goodness, because her mother is a real piece of work, she frustrated me so much!) but she must move back into the family home and work with her baby daddy in order to gain the Flores business. This is a sweet, second chance, secret baby love story. Although well developed characters I felt Addie needed a back bone and Hayden needed to cool his jets and stop taking his anger out on Addie, although he tried his best not to. Overall some sweet father, daughter moments and a lovely story with ups and downs before they found their hea.

This wonderful story is about two people that fall apart and are given an opportunity years later to rekindle their relationship. When Hayden's father dies, he accuses Addie of leaking information and as a result breaks things off not knowing that she was expecting his child. When she is given the opportunity to inherit her grandfathered s estate she has to work with Hayden and live in the family estate. Will she be able to fulfill all of the obligations and will it lead her and Hayden down the road to a happily ever after.

A great second chance romance. I loved that it wasn't perfect and they had a lot to work through. Hayden and Addie are forced to work with each other after years of a devastating breakup. Seeing the growth from Hayden and watching him see the error in his ways from long ago. Addie was strong and independent and doing anything to protect her family. Overall a great story and looking forward to reading more.

This is a cute second chance story about Addie, a single mother to Luna, Hayden her one-time love interest, and Luna's father. Addie comes back home after more than seven years away. Her grandfather has left his estate to her and she has to battle against her mother for the inheritance. She also has to figure out her relationship with Hayden.

This story is about forgiveness, self trust, and giving in to your heart. The book did drag a bit in spots but overall it is a darling story with characters that I loved. I recommend reading this book.

Addie is excited to tell Hayden that she is pregnant. However, he accuses her of releasing information that caused his father's death and yells at her to get out. As a result, Addie keeps her pregnancy a secret and moves to Phoenix, where she raises her daughter Luna. When Addie's Abuela dies, she has to move back to LA, where she finds her mother to be just as evil as she was before Addie left. This story has twisted parenting, romance, and steam, ending in a HEA. Very highly recommended.

This is a well written book with strong characters in Hayden and Addie. The author does a great job developing the story and painting her scenes perfectly. She takes you into their lives with a second chance romance, love and a new family. But not before they can work through their past issues with a bad breakup. She moves the story fluidly and delivers a terrific read.

I enjoyed reading this book. Once I started reading Broken Grump, I didn't want to put it down. I wanted to keep reading so I could see what was going to happen next. Past Mistakes

Hayden and Addie were once quite happy together until he makes accusations that drive her away. When they are forcefully reunited the connection to each other resurfaces but the past and the secret she left with complicate everything. I enjoyed how these two work through their past and subsequent feelings. What an entertaining read.

I love the stories of Ivy Snow and as always I was glued to my book. The same goes for Addie and Hayden's story. The storyline is great, they have to overcome some things and work through their past if they want to have a second chance at love. There is some drama, sadness, romance and steam and together you have a great story.

I always hate to say this because I know I could never write, but I just couldn’t connect with this story. Both characters were just brats, adult brats. The only character I truly liked was the 7 year old. I’m not sure what it is missing, but there is just a lot missing from the story.
I stuck with the story in hopes it would get better, but it just never made a lot of sense to me.

Second chances are always great! This is about Hayden and Addie. The trust issues between these two are unbelievable. A secret she holds onto because she believes is better has him trying to be a better man, but can he be a different person or more like his dad? She needs to decide if what she inherits is all worth it. I love this; it keeps you on your toes until the end.

WOW this was an another great book. It was a steamy page tuner and the suspense was intense. I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn’t even put it down. This is a very emotional story. Maddie and Hayden were together when they were younger, and she got pregnant. Circumstances beyond her control, he didn't know they had a child. "Broken Grump: An Enemies to Lovers Fake Dating Romance" (Broken Billionaires Series Book 1) by Ivy Snow was a great read. I enjoyed Hayden and Addie's story. This story had romance, passion, secret baby, billionaires, enemies to lovers, second chance, fake dating, single mom, and more. This was a nice start to this series. I'm looking forward to reading what happens next. I highly recommend it to all fans of romance, billionaires, secret baby, and series.

A second chance love romance with emotional baggage and with also secret child. MMC and his child bound beautifully together. It was both plot heavy and had a good amount of spice. Their emotions feel real and bring the story to life. This was a fun, cute romance, heart and few complications. Recommend this who like second chance love romance.

This is the first book from Ivy Snow I've read...some of the details seem way too much and others seem a little too light. The characters, Hayden...he could be a real pain and total jerkface...Addie seemed at times strong but also a little flightly but they were well written because they invoked emotions, which is a good sign for any author. The wrap up was quick...but I did appreciate the HEA at the end including the surprise.
