He steals hearts left and right. Hers is the first one he wants to keep in this scorching romance from Donna Alam.

Did you hear the one about the wedding planner who took the bride’s place? No? Maybe that’s because it’s never happened before.

Until now.

I’ll do a lot of things to keep my business afloat and a roof over my grandmother’s head. So when the bride from my latest gig says she needs a decoy to fool the press and offers me a hefty bonus, I jump at the chance.

It’s not like she asked me to fake marry the groom, just his best man. Charming, sophisticated, Mr. Sin-in-a-Suit, Fin DeWitt. A man who once kissed away the worst day of my life.

He’s so far out of my league it’s not even funny. And how I wake up next to him—thoroughly honeymooned—I’ll never understand.

Then I spot the wedding certificate, signed in our own names…

The closer we get, the more the lines blur. So much for fake when we discover some knots are impossible to untie.

Overall I did really enjoy No Saint. It’s a fun spicy second chance romance. This was a super fun easy read, if you’re looking for a spicy little romance book this will be perfect for you and for those who enjoy when the male falls first and is completely besotted with the FMC you’ll love this!

2.5 Stars! This is the second book in the ‘My Kind of Hero’ series and can be read as a standalone. I wanted to love this book but it fell a bit flat for me. The main characters are Fin & Mila & while he sounded like a perfect guy, with a possible sex addition, she came off as an always angry with him ‘female dog’.
I started skimming through some of it because it got a bit boring at times & confusing at others. Most of the time I was confused over something, maybe I missed something and had to go back to reread or wondering what set her off again. Why was she mad this time? I get being closed off after being hurt and not communicating, but dang, these 2 are pros at hiding, feelings and thoughts.
They were either having sex, arguing or distraught over something for probably 95% of the book. I love a good ‘sexy time’ scene but you gotta give it a break every now & then. Let ‘it’ breathe once in a while. Maybe have some dialogue or go into more details of their back stories so I’m not as lost. How does a couple fall in love when they talk so little?
Now, all that being said, it was still an interesting book & I enjoyed bits and pieces. I liked the idea of the book but the dialogue could be better & less ‘sexy times’ would be great too. It just got annoying & ridiculous after a while. This book has a lot of potential but as is, just doesn’t work for me.
*I received this book at no charge & I voluntarily left this review.*

Special thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this Audio ARC.

This was an enemies to lovers romance. There’s a Billionaire MMC and the FMC is a struggling wedding planner. While I loved the concept of this book is just didn’t scream out to me like I would hope. I did love the narrators and I felt like their banter was almost real. From page one I was hoping that Mila would get a chance to meet her beau from her closet hookup from months ago.

It seems that while Mila was having a pretty bad night that evening hence the drunkenness in the closet things made a turn for the better when she encounters Fin.

Fast forward several months in the future and she is given an opportunity of a lifetime to work at a very great high power couples wedding which will bring her name back into the business. The problem is this wedding that’s intended to bring her business back onto the scene is not bound to happen if she doesn’t walk down the aisle herself.

This had so many funny scenes and moments when I cackled out loud listening to it. This was pretty light romance and when I heard about a sexy billionaire bad boy I wanted some pretty hardcore sexy time on the page.

While this was not in the book I believe that ladies who prefer closed door romance will love this novel and the very lovely British narrators will keep them very entertained throughout this experience. In this novel of will they won’t they take a journey with both Fin and Mila on this wild and interesting ride.

I really wanted to like this book, but by about 53%, I started skimming, and by 70%, I DNF'd. The premise was intriguing—a fake wedding that turns into a real marriage with someone the FMC has a brief history with—but unfortunately, the plot fell flat. There was little substance beyond the MMC trying to convince the FMC to stay married, but even that was mostly conveyed through his internal thoughts rather than through actual dialogue. The lack of location movement also contributed to the feeling that the plot wasn’t progressing. It was disappointing because the idea had so much potential. A more developed subplot or additional character development could have really elevated the story.

Thank you to @NetGalley, Donna Alam, and the publisher for providing an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

I really struggled with this book. While the premise intrigued me, the execution didn’t work. I really didn’t like the FMC. I felt she was all over the place. The MMC was a golden retriever boyfriend who fell first. And while he acknowledged his emotions to himself, he did not verbalize them to FMC except in casual endearments.

Also, the post wedding scene was weird. She was so drunk/high that she didn’t remember anything?! It gave me a date rape drug vibe even though the MMC was not culpable. There were many (conscious) sexy times but limited heart-to-heart conversations between the MC’s to develop an actual relationship.

I received a free copy from Netgalley. This is my unbiased review.

I listened to "no saint" as an Audiobook. At first, I was hooked because it was easy to listen to while keeping up with my tasks. After a while though, it was too much of an instant-love story for me which made me think twice about it and if I really want to continue. In the end, I stopped around the 60% mark because it really was not for me. Don't get me wrong, I didn't mind the characters on its own, the fmc was tough but a little bit annoying and the mmc was, well, he was just there. maybe I would've liked it better if I would've read it instead, I don't know.
I still want to thank NetGalley, the Author and Publisher for the opportunity to have access to the audiobook version of "No Saint" by Donna Alam.

This book had me clinging to my kindle from the very beginning to the very end!

Not only did this book make me fall in love, it also broke my heart and then mended it. And there is nothing 1 love more than a story that can give me emotional whiplash.

I couldn't have asked for a better story, but paired with the author's amazing writing style… I was in heaven. The author had me falling in love while laughing and crying. The amount of emotion I was feeling while reading this book is surreal!

The characters were all very intricate and complex which made it easier to fall in love with them.

Fin seriously has my heart. The man would stop at nothing to show Mila how much he loved her! I will admit, at first I couldn’t understand why he seemed to instantly love her, but then I realized I didn't really care to dig too deep into it.at the end of the day, we all just want a man to prove how much we mean to them and Fin does not disappoint. I love that we get to see multiple sides of him. He is more than just a millionaire playboy.

Mila was a mess but I loved her for it! Her life may have been falling apart, but she kept trucking on. For this, I truly felt like she was more relatable.

Because of Mila's past, she was reluctant to pursue a relationship with Fin. Honestly, if I was in her shoes, I would feel the same way. Her hesitance was totally justified.

There was a tiny bit of mystery to this story.it was obvious someone or something was hindering her career but who or what? This wasn't a major part of the story but it was a nice little tidbit that kept me hanging on. I will say. I did not see that reveal coming.

Also, the banter between the main characters was unmatched! There was times they had me laughing so hard.

The ending was glorious! Mila finding her voice was everything I think we all needed.

Overall, I loved this book. Not only were the vibes right, but I didn't have any problems with this book. Hands down, I would read again.

I recommend to anyone looking for a millionaire romance. Especially if you are looking for an age gap.

Fake wedding turned into accidental marriage, sort of.

Fin is adorable and you just want Mila to drop her guard and appreciate them together, but just like the previous book - she’s really hard on him for literally the entire book for little to no reason. Poor guy.

Mentions his apartment is a ‘stone’s throw from Harrods and buckingham palace.’ Had to google map it because I’ve been to both and wouldn’t have realized they were that close (even figuratively speaking) to both. I guess they could be considered, but idk why reading it was so disruptive to me.

Very Short Synopsis: Recently cheated on/dumped wedding planner fake marries hot billionaire best man; the catch is that she had a one night stand with said hot best man a few months prior; she doesn't want to get involved because of the recently being dumped/cheated on thing but obviously only an idiot would think that you aren't going to fall in love with the persuasive hot billionaire you fake married.

This was pretty much what I expected but not in a bad way. I mean, when you read a romance starring a hot billionaire you know what you are getting yourself into. Tropes involved here were fake marriage/forced proximity, reformed playboy and he falls first; honestly, all favorites of mine. This was entertaining and had some nice feminist moments. My biggest critique is that I think it could've been shorter. I would definitely read the first book in this series.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.

No Saint is the second in Alam's My Kind of Hero series and is my favourite of the series to date. It's easily readable as a standalone, but for those who have read the first book it does feature Evie and Oliver and is a continuation of sorts from No Romeo.

Mila and Fin are my new favourite couple. They were so good together, it just took them a whole book to find out! I'd be hard pushed to choose a favourite out of the two.

It's told from the POV of both Mila and Fin, so we could swoon along with the gorgeous couple and pinpoint exactly who fell first. If only all men could take a thing or two from Fin!

My favourite part of the book...that epilogue! It evoked a snigger or two that's for sure.

Steamy, sexy and so, so good.

Well, I don't think there was really any doubt that this was going to be a 5* read for me!

I read No Romeo recently which is the first book in the My Kind Of Hero series and I was so obsessed that I had to dive straight into this second book.

It was really great to see our main characters in book 1, Oliver and Evie taking centre stage in the beginning of this book. I can't say too much about that for fear of spoilers - but this continuation was brilliant.

We move smoothly into our introductions to Mila, who is our FMC for this book and our hero being Oliver's friend Fin, who we met a little in the first book too.

I was so excited to read Fin's story and this book was everything!

I'm obviously not going to talk about the plot much but suffice to say that there was a lot going on here and it was again, a rollercoaster of emotions throughout.

But this was so packed with humour that even those down moments were quickly balanced out and had me smiling again.

I loved Fin in book 1 but oh my, if he didn't get even better the more we see his personality shine here.

He fell hard and fast and it was glorious.

Now, Mila...so, I'm not really a girl's girl- it's quite rare that I adore an FMC - Mila, you have topped my albeit short list...but there you are!

Apart from the slight communication issues, you are literally my twin!

Although I wish that I could be half as witty!!

The banter between the two is gold and the chemistry and spice, off the charts!

I honestly have never tabbed a book so much as I did with this one!

This is definitely one of my favourite reads...I'm officially obsessed and need book 3 immediately!

Fin and Mila were hot together. It was nice to read about an older couple, although the love story was little too insta. Also, Mila was a bit annoying. She was happy to blame Fin for too many things in her life.

Billionaire MMC
Fake dating/marriage
Secret hook up
Forced proximity
Spicy

Dual Narration - John Lane & Zara Hampton Brown
Fabulous accents!

This is book 2 in My kind of hero series. Can be read as a standalone but for best experience read in order.

This story was fun flirty and cute.

Secret hook up turns into fake marriage. Finn and Mila make a deal with Evie and Oliver to help make their wedding go smoothly.

Finn and Mila are forced together for a week. Months after secret hook up. Mila has been fantasizing about Finn for months and now here he is and she has to spend a week with him in essentially paradise. The spice was spicing in this one. I liked the banter. It was enjoyable and I would definitely recommend.

Being roofied isn't a funny plot twist; DNF

Started well enough with the hot, one nighter and then they meet again at the wedding where Mila was the wedding planner and then deteriorated rapidly.

I have real triggers with anything associated to lack of consent and when it became clear that Mila had been drugged just before the "fake" wedding ceremony (that turns out to be real) and didn't remember anything about what happened after, or having sex with Fin, my utter contempt for the story was set. Disgusted at the attitude of the girl, Sarai, who drugged Mila with a local hallucinogenic and didn't have any regrets whatsoever about doing it, plus she had the nerve to basically blame Mila for her having to do so in order to calm her down before the ceremony.

Then we have Fin, who is fully aware that Mila didn't know about signing a real marriage certificate and being just fine having sex with her even while assuming Mila’s blind drunk; he wasn’t really bothered about Mila being drugged and only became peeved when it’s revealed that he inadvertently ingested a small amount too: a prince amongst men - NOT. Then he has an epiphany: he’s been in love with Mila since their one time together months earlier and turns into more of an arrogant asshat.

Don’t get me started on Mila’s capitulation to all of this nonsense with minimal anger towards either of those two narcissists.

I hated this book and couldn't get beyond 30%.

Steam: 🔥🔥🔥☄️ (0-5) I bump up for public-ish places/outdoor spaces.

What I’m Starry-Eyed Over:
🤩 Cute narration with gorgeous accents. I especially loved the short delay in getting John Lane’s narration. I smirked so hard during his first chapter because the sunny, flirty characterization is so great.
🤩 The whole mustache conversation is fantastic. When Fin is thinking, “Hey, Mila, I’ve shaved a seat for you.” LOL!
🤩 Fake is one of my favorites, and I really liked the situation for this one.
🤩 The short amnesia part of the plot is very fun!
🤩 A little shower self-pleasure is quite good in the slow burn. Even, especially?, when it’s interrupted.
🤩 Vacation/temporary fling with a theme of fulfilling fantasies. Yeah, I’m definitely saying the slow burn is very worth it—the steamy scenes are deliciously detailed.
🤩 Fin, the MMC, is a great character—I love how he’s a sunshiny billionaire and also how he’s down bad for this girl.
🤩 I love Mila and Fin together—they banter so well. It’s LOL hilarious.

What I’m Wishing/Dizzy About:
💫 I love the accents of the narrators, but I didn’t love the female narrator’s male voice.
💫 I wish the first interaction (one night stand) would have been extra detailed with the door wide open to make it stand out from the amnesia situation later.
💫 I never quite loved the female MC because of her wishy-washiness maybe.
💫 I think I stopped paying good attention in chapter 26 just because Mila was not coming around.

Mila and Fin's relationship is filled with tension. Their lifestyles are worlds apart—he's wealthy beyond his dreams, surrounded by admirers and a dedicated staff, while she struggles to make ends meet. She fears becoming just another conquest.

Mila's past heartbreak has her building walls, while Fin tries to break them down. Their connection is electric, filled with witty banter and undeniable chemistry. They can't keep their hands off each other.

At times, the dialogue can be overwhelming, making it hard to follow who's speaking. Nonetheless, the character development is engaging. I was pulled in by their laughter and frustration, and found myself rooting for them. I particularly wanted Mila to see how wonderful Fin was and how much he cared for her.
This story is perfect for those who enjoy steamy scenes filled with passion, but also appreciate moments of tenderness and love.

Fake wedding or real marriage? The premise of this story had me intrigued and I immediately dived in.

The physical chemistry between these characters is explosive and sometimes that kind of chemistry also comes with a side of agitation - these two definitely pushed each other’s buttons. Be ready for moments when you want to shake one or both of them - but for me I like that in a book, I don’t want perfect characters. I want flaws.

I enjoyed this one and look forward to seeing what comes next in this world.

I received an arc of this book.

It starts off so strong, the writing is good, I like the characters & the premise of the fake wedding but then… nothing happens.

It’s a lot, a LOT a lot, of banter, innuendo & not much else. They’re spending 6 days together on their fake honeymoon & each day seems to last a lifetime. I DNF at 40% because the story kept going no further. We’re going around in circles, the banter is getting too much & any spicy bits are all off page.

I’m so disappointed as I was enjoying this style but time is precious & I need some story development!

Once I started this series, I was basically committed to seeing it through. Overall, it was a decent read. I really liked Fin, but the storyline itself was just okay, not bad, not amazing, somewhere in the middle. It didn’t feel like a quick read, but it also didn’t drag on forever. I’d say pick this up if you’re in the mood for something to pass the time and you enjoy tropes like fake marriage and a secret hookups.

Be true to who you are and the RIGHT Fin will find you!

When a man lives a women he will do anything for her. I loved Fin, he is a wonderful man. I had some trouble with Mila as she continued to doubt him over and over no matter how much he did she show his love for her. I liked that she was a strong independent woman, but she's lucky he didn't walk away after so many rejections. I'm glad it all worked out in the end but it felt like the multiple rejections was a way of dragging out their story. I gave 4 stars because of the very funny ending, and that Fin finally got his happily ever after. I was absolutely rooting for him.

Scorching romance novel for the win! Really enjoyed this one. Loved the banter between the two main characters, Mila and Fin, as well as the chemistry. This was the first book that I’ve read by Donna Alam, and I really enjoy her sensual way of writing.

Not for me.

I really tried to love this one— I really tried, but it was a struggle to get to the finish.
Fin and Mila as a couple wasn’t throwing off the vibes and chemistry I seek in my reads.

Mila was likely my least favourite thing in the book and certainly would be in my top ten disliked FMC’s. She’s irritating and determined to blame too much on Fin the MMC.

The book wasn’t all bad, and the writing was well done and the plot easy to follow… sadly the characters and lack of chemistry was a let down for me.
Just didn’t do it for me and was nearly a DNF at about half way, which isn’t usually an issue when reading Donna Alam.

Though, in saying that— what doesn’t work for me might be someone else’s bible.

Not Donna’s best work in my opinion.

I received an ARC for this title in the hopes of my leaving an honest and voluntary review— which I have just supplied, using an opinion that is solely my own.

This really really really wasn’t my cup of tea. I figured out that from the first page alone but dragged myself through the rest of it regardless. The conversations give me the ick and the fmc is annoying. I give it 2 stars for the idea of the plot being interesting but this is a NOPE from me.
