Imperfections Seduced

What if falling in love with your best friend destroys your entire family?

Catherine Reed has been in love with Nicholas Alexander for as long as she can remember.. They'd always had a certain chemistry and had even shared one passionate, forbidden, perfect kiss as teenagers. For years, she'd hoped he could look past her overprotective brothers and their age difference so they could be more than friends. Tired of waiting she left New York and her heart behind.

Nicholas has always been secretly in love with Catherine. She's the only woman he's ever truly wanted. But as his best friend’s baby sister, she's definitely off-limits. Not even having a merry-go-round of beautiful girls has stopped him from wanting her. Watching her leave town nearly killed him, but all he wanted was for her to be happy and he knew giving in to what he wanted would ruin her... them.

Now Catherine's back to stake claim to the only man she's ever loved. And Nicholas isn't about to lose her a second time. But love is never simple, and their situation is more complicated than ever. Because Nick's engaged—to her sister.

First read as titled IMPERFECTIONS.
It is now retitled as book one in the Imperfections series as SEDUCED.
I saw this as a free read but once I started reading it, I realised I had read it before.
Original review says it all.
2016 original review
Over 370 pages with no ending, no HEA, not even a HFN.
Do not waste your time unless you like spending your money and waiting for an ending in further books.
What a waste of my evening.
NO WHERE does it say that this story continues in more than one book.
I read and read all this angst and carrying on, only to find there is no HEA. Not even a HFN.
It just ends and left me with a sour taste in my mouth as Nick is screwing another woman.
And why the hell is he spending time with the sister Kate? the one he got pregnant.
I was enjoying the story even if Nick is a douche but to have to buy another book to finish is something I hate.

She is younger sister and he is bros best friend. She goes off to college and then on to career… 4 years later she returns home shortly after he has had a 1 night stand with her sister with functional condom but sister claims she is preg and he is dad … so she announces their ‘engagement’ during sisters welcome home party… they will not be engaged until it is proven the kid is his. I did not like any of the people… there is nobody whose morals are attractive. Nobody to care about. Nobody to root for. Bunch of people I would not want to know. And, then it ends … seems it is only part 1.

normally, i don’t love to hate on books, what is horrible to me might really be amazing for someone else; but this book was the actual worst thing i have ever read. i honestly don’t even know why i read it as i normally don’t read romance, but it was free and i thought the name was a little funny so i read it. if i could give this zero i probably would.

not only was it not edited (multiple grammar mistakes throughout), it was so incredibly boring and repetitive. there was never anything else going on except for cat and nick wanting have sex and not (except for the two times they ended up doing it). the dialogue was so unbelievably unnatural that it made me laugh a lot rather than make me understand the characters and the situations they were in. cat is such a boring and annoying main character, and nick is just a horrible person and genuinely is very creepy.

the characters were one note, and the best character was the side character ava, only because of the outlandish things she said and the fact that she seemed to be the only one that genuinely cared for cat.

my other huge issue with this book was the constant obsession with cat’s body, how hot she had become and how she had to work to keep that physique. characters would constantly comment about how she wasn’t like other girls and her beauty was natural and other girls were plastic, which is such a horrible thing to say about anyone. this book was extremely misogynistic at times, and felt like it was praising nick for being a bad person. nick is the epitome of double standards, as one of the main conflicts he has is that cat and his old friend matt hooked up and matt took cats virginity. his reasoning was that there was too big of an age gap between matt and cat, and therefore it was wrong. however, nick (who is the same age as matt) has no issue with the fact that he has been in love with her since she was 13 and was 15/16. he also hates when cat will wear something revealing or talk to other guys because he doesn’t want them to find her attractive or take advantage of her, but has no issues doing those exact same things to her. nick had a very alpha male, you’re my pet you listen to me vibe which i hated. he also barely listened to cat and what she wanted specifically during the sex scenes, which i found… weird to say the least.

if you hate women you might love this book to be honest. it ends on a huge cliffhanger, but the book was not interesting or well written enough for me to continue.

i feel bad writing such a scathing review, because i believe all stories should have a place and if you have something you want create, you should go for it! but the thought and attention that most books get was just not in this novel at all.

Cat comes home after four years to try and claim the man she loves, Nick. Nick, Chris (her brother) and Cat used to hang out together as they were growing up so she knows Nick (maybe). She has been in love with Nick for as long as she could remember and Nick loves her (he finally tells her). On her first night home her sister, Kate, announces she is engaged to Nick. Nick eventually explains the situation to Cat about why her sister said that and Cat is not a happy camper. The story continues where Nick and Cat find time to talk and spend time with each other. The disappointing part is that I had to buy the next three books to finish the story. I wish an author would mention that this is a cliff hanger.

This is a pretty crappy way to sell books. I got this one for free. There is no place where it says it continues in another book. I got to what I thought was the end and it just stops. You have to buy the other books in the series and I don't even know for sure that it continues with this story or if it takes you to different characters. I also don't care for the story line. If he knows that he cares for the younger sister, and has since they were children, then why did he sleep with the older sister? He's just a man whore. Surely he could control his urges and skip a one night stand with the older sister. Not to mention what it does to the family, since the twin brother of the older sister is his best friend. Talk about dysfunctional. What a disappointment.

Did Not Finish

DNF at 39%. Partially my fault, I didn't realize this story covers more than one book and I'm not liking it enough to continue to read more than one book with this couple. I'm not into all the emphasis on the FMC's body and how in shape she is and how much she has to workout to maintain it, plus some villainization of a very minor character based on her looks (too plastic). Overall too much time spent on physical descriptions that don't add to the story in a meaningful way.

Sexy

5-stars, this book is a must have, Nick is so handsome, and Cat is so beautiful. They can't stay away each other. Kate is z user, I hope it's not his baby. Nick finally told Cat he loves her, hopefully it will have a happy ending. I won't be happy if it doesn't. There has to be a part II.

Picked up this book simply because Kobo is giving away the first book of series. The storyline wasn't too bad, but I realised it's going to take 3 (or 4?) books for the story of this couple to have a resolution. I'm sorry, I can take a long book... but I cannot take it when it stretches over several books.

I already wasn't sure about the book based off of the summary but thought I'd give it a read anyway. For me it's a 2.5 star read. The book just ends, the characters go back and forth between being mature vs immature. I only finished it because it's a quick read and thought the saga would end when the book did.

Imperfections

This is part one of a series and ends on a cliffhanger. A man and woman who were best friends see each other again when she returns home.
This is their chance to be more but her sister has other plans. Unfortunately i did not like Nick who treated his staff like shit and wasn’t honest with anyone.

A soap opera of the heart finds it's voice in a love beyond words. Nicholas and Catherine are an alluring piece of heartache. Watson seduces emotions with a captivating leap into love, loss, regret and betrayal. Imperfections Seduced is an addiction that makes it's mark on both heart and soul.

This is a series book.

The story is good but why read a chapter in a book and then have to buy the next chapter to find out what happens next. I like books that have a beginning, middle and end in the same book.

Oh my!

WOW! Miss Shaniel has started to weave a very, very sexy story! If only that was all it was. Unfortunately, there are other people involved and those people have FEELINGS!! I’ve got a feeling this is gonna get sticky. . . .

Utterly addictive….

One of those romances where you scream at her « no, don’t go back!!! » but totally understand when she does…. I am dying to read book 2 just to see if Nick was innocent and immature or a devilish sob….

This was very poor writing😭, got it as a free download because the summary looked juicy and just had to see it through, but the storyline doesn’t even finish. The writing isn’t good enough for me to “find out what happens” in the next book

This soap opera of a novel gets bad marks for having four parts, when it could easily have been two parts. Cat spent her college years out of the country, only to return to find out that her sister is engaged to marry the man Cat has always loved. Unbelievably, the story gets even messier.

Disappointing

This is the first part in a series and is not a complete stand alone story. Would be helpful to know this before purchasing or reading.
