It was okay, it's a novella, so...

A young woman got lost in the mountains and injured herself, but an older guy living there saw her, rescued her, and nursed her back to health. The next thing I knew, they were professing their love for one another, and a year later, they're officially married and pregnant. 🤷‍♀️

This book grabbed my attention right away, and was an awesome curvy girl, older man romance.
If you are into the “daddy” books, in which the older man is referred to as “daddy”, you will absolutely love this story. For me, daddy books have never been a favorite, so it is my own fault for not researching this book more prior to reading it. However, even with my dislike of “daddy” talk, this book was EXCELLENT and I would not have stopped reading it for anything.
I could quote sentence after sentence of positively wonderful, romantic words delivered in perfect timing by this author. It reminded me of the end of “Pride and Prejudice”, when Mr. Darcy pours his heart out, the dialogue was that good.
This quick read is a MUST, it’s steamy with romantic dialogue.

Olivia is a city girl who takes the advice from her best friend to distress away from the city. OliviaSo this is how Olivia finds herself hiking on a mountain trail and she is directionally challenged. Jack, a mountain man who lives in his cabin away from others, finds Olivia. She has rolled down the hill and is bruised and unconscious. Jack takes Olivia back to his cabin where she will be safe from the mountain wildlife. When Olivia wakes up, she only knows her name but feels safe with Jack. Jack and Olivia find a strong connection to each other and they are able to explore it without the outside world giving their opinions. Jack and Olivia are living are borrowed time as to when Olivia's memory starts to come back. This guts Jack because he knows that he can't live without Olivia if she returns home. This is a short and hot read that has all the feels of instant connections and love at first sights. Enjoy!

Jack sexy as all get out mountain man who enjoys being out there all alone out when he finds a young women unconscious of course he does the right thing by taking her back to his cabin and of course she wakes up not remembering anything with her amnesia he can’t leave her to her own devices. The magnetic pull between the two of them can’t be ignored no matter how hard he tries and the longer her memory eludes her the stronger the pull between them grows despite what is going on around them the heat builds between them but what happens when reality comes looking for their friend, will she walk away not to return, will she come back for her mountain man once her memory returns, where are they headed maybe happiness?

Olivia is a curvy girl from the city. A friend suggests she take a hiking trip into the mountains to clear her head. Olivia ends up falling, hitting her head and becoming unconscious.

Jack hears something in the woods near his cabin. He finds an unconscious Olivia. After checking her out for any major injuries, he scoops her up and takes her to his cabin. He cleans up her wounds and puts her to bed. When Olivia wakes up, the only thing she remembers is her name.

Jack finds Olivia to be very attractive, curves and all but feels that he is too old for Olivia. He ends up deciding that doesn’t matter to him. He wants to take care of her forever.

Cute, short story. Totally kept my attention.

First, I’ll say that this story, despite being quite short is a bit of a slow burn. DD/lg-lite aspect of this story is pretty light so it’s probably good for those who aren’t into that but for those that are, just expect it to be light!

The MMC was a gentle man who cared so much for the FMC. He did everything he could to make sure he wasn’t taking advantage of the FMC who was suffering from amnesia.

There was a bit of angst in the story and a little bit of a twist, but it had a sweet ending. 😊.

Curvy Girl for the Mountain Man is the first book in the Curvy Girl Romance Shorts series. This is a opposites attract and lite daddy romance is a quick read. The story finds Olivia, an overworked and stressed city girl going for a solo hike/camp in the woods. When she goes off the path is when she gets into trouble. Lucky for her there is a mountain man, Jack, who finds her and then takes care of her. But once he has her in his cabin will he let her go?
This is was a fun and entertaining read. The story is lite, has some drama, romance, angst, and a bit of suspense. My only issue was the book needs another visit to a good proofreader to correct the easy to spot errors. Otherwise though it I quite liked it.

This book is a part of the Curvy Girl Romance Shorts series and focuses on Jack and Olivia. Olivia went to the mountains for a hike to get away from the city and the stress of her everyday life. While on the hike, she ends up injured and has no memory of who she is. Jack has lived a reclusive lifestyle in the mountains for years, but when he finds Olivia injured on his mountain, he knows that he had found his other half. He was determined to take care of her and eventually have her fall for him as much as he had already fallen for her. This was a great story and a great addition to the series.

I haven’t read a book by Emma Bray in a while, but this novella called to me. I like the amnesia and mountain man tropes, so this was my jam. Olivia and Jack have an instant connection even though she lost her memory when she fell. They both tried to keep their feelings hidden but couldn’t resist. I liked the story. It was cute and smutty. Some inconsistencies made me just stop the flow of the story. Overall, it’s good for when you want a good afternoon read.

This was a wonderful story to read. I enjoyed the journey that Olivia and Jack took. He finds her after the earth shifts during her walk and she falls unconscious. Fortunately, she is found by Jack. It is immediately clear that she is his, as soon as she wakes up, and she suffers from amnesia, his need for protection arises and he does everything he can to ensure that she stays with him when she gets her memory back. A wonderful insta romantic story.

Okay but I had questions

The story is typical instalove mountain man book, which I happen to like but my issue is with continuity. He puts Olivia in his room when he brings her back. There's a mention of a door so I assumed it wasn't a one room cabin deal. Then he mentions seeing her curled up with his blanket while not having talked about her moving from the bedroom. So, is the bedroom separate?! Was the door open?! Then there's a scene where she goes up steps. What steps?! If the room is upstairs now did he see her from the kitchen?! It bothered me.

Love this short steamy story with HEA love these mountain men the last book I read it wouldn’t let me review it for some reason love Olivia and Jack when he found her on his mountain unconscious he fell hard Olivia couldn’t remember anything but her name but that didn’t stop them from falling in love I love no cliffhangers and short romantic stories so if you get the chance to read it go for it you won’t be disappointed thanks to the author Emma Bray for sharing keep up the good work thank you

Another great story from Emma Bray. Olivia gets lost and Jack is here to find her. She lost her memory, and they felt the attraction instantly and succumbed to it. When she does remember, he thinks he has lost her forever but when finds her at the cabin and not gone, it all came to place. It was a story full of passion and uncertainties but love at the end overcomes all the obstacles.

A short insta love at first sight story. Olivia escaping from the strains of city life goes on a solo trip, out on a walk she’s disoriented, gets lost then has an accident. She’s soon rescued by Jack, dealing from grief he’s lived in the mountains for years, when he rescues Olivia it’s love at first sight for him. This was a riveting although short steamy story. Who’s rescued whom? Will anyone come looking for her? Will they live hea? Enjoyable reading.

The 2 mains were sweet together. He's a big, burly mountain man and she's a big city girl.
I love instalove stories, especially with overprotective mountain men.
This book was short, and there were skips in time. So, go into it knowing you won't see everything. But if you need something short and sweet between other books, this is a great option.

Jack hears a noise and decides to go see what it was when he finds himself looking at beauty, but she is unconscious. So he carries her to his cabin to look after her. Olivia wakes up in a strange place but no memory of anything only her name. So the stranger tells her that he will watch over her until she remembers. This book is an insta-love, age gap romance.

Ugh, I wanted so much more out of this short story.
I despise the virgin trope. And especially mentioning the hymen. Ughhh
There was just not enough.. depth and yes, I know, it's a short story but I felt it was still lacking.
I felt like there should've been the mentioning of Olivia's life before and why she was running away and a discussion of how she was going to just stay. With nothing to her name but I'm assuming a backpack? Maybe. Idk.

A sweet and sexy novella

Olivia is hiking alone in the woods, when she suffers a big fall.
Jack is walking in the woods near his cabin, when he finds a beautiful young woman, injured and unconscious, so he takes her to his cabin, and cares for her wounds.

When she wakes, Olivia doesn't remember her past or her life before the fall.
But despite his desire to keep her, Jack knows someone will be looking for her...

This was a fun and steamy age gap romance for Olivia and Jack. She's on a stress relief hiking trip only to end up lost and hurt. In comes Jack to save the day but he has to struggle with his attraction to Oliva with her suffering amnesia... These two had hot chemistry and the drama of her amnesia really made this a page turning read for me :D
