Upon arriving in Karachi, Pakistan, Ryker decides to antagonize the local target killers. All the while, Kate and Colin are back home chasing down clues in hopes to find out who's been brutally abusing their time-stopping device.
One random thing I'm surprised by in this comic is the amount of real products in it. I can't quite say it feels like product placement like they're somehow sponsoring this comic, but I feel like in most comics the names of brands are changed by a letter or two so you still know what they're supposed to be but there's no copyright infringement or whatnot. Here, in these first two issues, there has been blatant usage of logos, except perhaps that they're slightly covered. Maybe that's enough?
Anyway, the violence and intrigue continues, and the killer finds new and more creative ways to wipe people out in this one, while a scientist starts to put together what's been happening. The book is pretty stylish, and points to Image comics for not cheaping out on the cover or paper materials. I like the heavy cardstock over the flimsy, almost see through ones from the big names.
One other note, what is it with comics that have something, someone, or some action on the cover that has nothing or very little to do with what's actually inside? Sure, there's a car in this one, but it's a BMW (I think) and certainly not a green Porsche. I digress.
