There's no fighting the feeling in this Boy's Love omegaverse manga about a flashy alpha model and his omega manager!
Makoto is as average and ordinary as an omega gets. He's nothing like Rio, the model du jour he's been assigned to manage. Rio is charismatic, popular, drop-dead gorgeous, and most importantly, an alpha--everything Makoto can't stand! Makoto is determined to keep their relationship strictly business, even though Rio seems fixated on winning over his prickly new manager with sweet talk and claims of love at first sight. But when a sudden heat has Makoto riled up on his talent's bed...how long can he keep saying "no comment" to destiny?!
the way rio was pining for makoto throughout the entire volume ughhh 😩. i really love them as a couple, but i do wish more drama came from that one guy who wanted rio. you mean to tell me he tried to drug rio and nothing came from it?? plus makoto watched the whole thing go down. idk they should’ve pressed him or something 🙄.

If I had to describe this manga in one word, that word would be "messy."
There was just so much about it that felt sloppy and confusing. - Why does Makoto blame himself for their first hook up when he was the one protesting the entire time and was basically forced into it? Why are we still having non/dubcon in BL manga written in the year of our lord 2021? - Why did the author give Makoto the background of almost being assaulted in high school and fighting off the alphas who attacked him and then not have him respond negatively to the fact Rio literally assaulted him in the first chapter?? Why does Rio not hear about this backstory and feel bad that he basically did the same thing to Makoto??? Why is the first hook up NOT being treated like rape when it basically was????? - Why would an omega who is obsessed with appearing as if he's a beta seem to have a reoccurring streak of forgetting to take his suppressants? Wouldn't this be a second-nature kind of habit for him by this point? - Why does Rio just straight up ask Makoto how to make him fall in love with him instead of slowly getting to know him and discover his likes and interests? Why does Makoto tell him, even though he's still refusing him? Why is it so hard to tell how much time has passed between each scene? - Why are all the omegas, outside of Makoto, depicted so shallowly? It felt really weird to have this whole "omegas have been more liberated" opening and then have them all in jobs that use their body/attractiveness to their advantage, and then also make them kind of shallow and vain and entitled. - Why did Makoto's heats largely seem random, instead of on a cycle like normal? Is being around Rio triggering them? If so, why was this never explained? - Why did Makoto take the threat of him being outed as an omega so seriously when 1) he specifically asked to not work with alphas and that request was ignored and 2) the person trying to blackmail him LITERALLY TRIED TO DRUG SOMEONE AND MAKOTO KNOWS THIS FOR A FACT? Like the blackmail angle was SO stupid, like girl, blackmail his bitch ass right back????? - Why was the above mentioned arc never actually resolved? - Why did this whole story move at a breakneck pace?
Idk... I wanted to like this, as evident by me buying it physically instead of digitally, but it was just.... very mediocre. Not bad, but just nothing special at all. The three stars I gave it are basically for the art -- 'cause I won't lie, it's beautiful. And it's not bad, just okay.
Makoto is a self-made man. Working as a manager in the entertainment industry, he’s made a name for himself representing some of the most promising up and coming omegas. He loves his job and it really shows with how good he is and how much effort he puts in, not to mention the success of his clients...
This book does subvert some ABO troupes (for example the Alpha is more of a golden retriever and the omega is tough and stern) but it also follows a pretty predictable plot. The ABO is pretty on the nose and heavy handed at times. They tend to bring everything back to that dynamic but its clearly meant to be a fun smutty time more than anything else and if that’s what you’re looking for then you’ll definitely find it here, which I enjoyed.

Suostumusongelmainen omegaverse-BL, jossa omegaverse on toisaalta aika kevytversio. Noin muuten hahmojen välinen kemia kantoi tarinaa tämän yhden pokkarin verran hyvin, vaikka juoni sinänsä onkin aika heppoinen.
After being on a streak of good consensual BL manga, stumbling upon this was like getting splashed with a bucket of ice water. I do love the omegaverse but I get why most pple, especially those in the manga/manhwa community hate/are weary of it
We could have gotten a good story of a plain insecure omega having his insecurities healed and finding love through the love of the hottest alpha in the realm but instead, we got... whatever this was. Ew
Ps. Makoto saying that he had a sweet tooth but was too embarrassed to go eat them alone and proceeding to invite Rio to go with him reminded me of Old-fashioned cupcake. Go read that instead of this. Better yet, go watch the live adaptation of that rather than spend your time reading this
This is cute and tropey, but a little bit shallow and thrown together. The characters are very one note, and the complications/conflicts feel forced. Makoto is obviously insecure about being "uncute", and then it just so happens that everyone undermines his self-esteem on exactly that front as if there's no other reason they could dislike him or pick a fight with him. Similarly, Rio is supposed to be a super driven model, but he spends all his time being lovestruck and dopey for Makoto. At then the "final complication" is resolved out of nowhere by just announcing that they're together now, which means there was never even a problem to begin with.
All that said, the art is good and the story is smooth enough to enjoy if you're not feeling too critical about it. It's mostly fluff. Overall, it's a sweet read, but definitely no masterpiece.
Somewhat cute but ends quickly. Our omega hides that he is one in the entertainment industry by masquerading as a beta. He works as a manager for omegas until his boss switches him to manage an alpha. Our Rio falls in love at first sight. Although the relationship as manager and client goes smoothly as love interests its rocky? Consent is dubious. Relationship works out in end but no consequences given. There are a lot of cute gestures given and Makoto saves Rio from another omega that drugs his drink. In the end I liked it and didn’t. Idk. 🤷♀️ I’ve read a lot worse. 😅

The Omega-verse aspect of this definitely could have been omitted, as it definitely took a backseat to the actual story (imo). However, it was kinda nice that the prejudice and overactive heats that are usually found in Omega-verse were absent. Very cute characters tho, and lots of spice.
¿Me gustó? Sí. Es una lectura corta y divertida. No tiene complejidad. Para pasar un buen rato. F porque el protagonista es literalmente yo y el alpha le hace lovebombing pero realmente es buena persona.
It’s kind of hard to decipher the time in between events, like are these all happening back to back or is there space in between? I really like the couple together but I think that it needed to be paced better.
Oh my god, I don’t understand how this book is so boring. DNF for the time being, at about the halfway mark. Nothing interesting happens, the characters are flat and lifeless, and the usual BL tropes aren’t even interesting. :(
I liked it. I didn't know it was omega verse and it does feel dubious consent but shrug I suppose. I just kind of wanted more cuteness and there was a spiked drink for no great reason. But it wasn't bad the smut was smutting.
I like the aspect of a model being drawn to someone with long term self-confidence issues, and being shown they're just as beautiful through the tender love and affection of their partner.
I'd recommend to folks who like Omegaverse and want something that's sorta like self-care.
Cute omega and alpha story but it's not ground breaking. I did like the character so of omegaverse is your thing. This work also had a side of idol drama as well so that was kind of cool. It was a quick read so that was nice.
