Surprisingly wholesome story following the events of a phone sx operator phucking her pink phone receiver. Said phone turns into a man the next day who has spent years listening to her with her clients. This story follows the two have a great time in bed, but also out in the world as they tackle the question of what makes someone human. The smut was top tier. I do wish there was more of an explanation on why her phone turned into a hunk of man, but overall really enjoyed this read.

First off thank you to the author for giving me the chance to read this as an arc! I normally don’t rate novellas but I had to rate this one! I really enjoyed it lol of course it’s a spicy novella so more smut heavy than anything but it was such a fun time!! I’ve read a couple of novellas that deal with inanimate objects that come to life and this one has definitely been my favorite thus far! Super quick, fun, smutty read 😉

HOT! HOT! HOT!
First, I would like to thank the author, for allowing me to read this as my first-ever ARC! Second, this book is perfect if you are looking for a fast-paced, steamy romance. "Hung Up" had me laughing and genuinely made me happy. The spice was great, but I also really enjoyed the relationship between the two characters. Overall, you need to read this book. It's hot, spicy, and a quick read that will make you blush and giggle.
Some of my favorite quotes/scenes from the book:
"Well, if I was losing my mind, I may as well have an orgasm -- or three -- on the way out." - Ch.3 As the Lady Commands
^ Yes, girl! We felt you there!!
"You don't taste like heaven. You taste like sin." - Ch.3 As the Lady Commands
And later on, this:
'"But you don't taste sweet, darling," he said, voice low enough for only us to hear... I hoped. "You taste like sin. No," he amended, a devilish glint to his eyes, "you taste like salvation."' - Ch.6 Field Testing
Oh and we absolutely can not forget about this scene:

First I want to say thank you to the author for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I'm no stranger to inanimate smut books. I usually read them ironically for the giggles because they are usually so absurd that you just HAVE to laugh. They are usually written not so well but it's fine cuz it's about a head of lettuce, ya know?
This book is different. It starts off with the fun little premise that her needs and wants changes him from a phone to a smoking hot man in her bed. You shouldn't expect plot but you do get a ton of spicier than spicy scenes of him worshiping her in various locations. No weird jizz, no telephone dick. Just hot, well written smut. Thoroughly enjoyed this book & I honestly kinda wish it was longer. I'd definitely read another book from this author.

I received this book from the author as an arc and the rating and the review is my personal opinion
4.75/5⭐️ I actually really loved this short smutty novella. Obviously the spice was amazing but I did like the story between the two characters. I felt that they did have a pretty good dynamic going on for a phone and a person;) I was intrigued through the whole thing and honestly wished their was more!
My only problem was that I wanted to know a bit more of the backstory on how he became human but other than that I ate it up!!!
Over all loved this book and the authors writing was amazing and everything flowed cohesively which I feel like is hard to do with these kinds of stories. I also felt like I was there and the world building/ environment in the story was good and I pictured every little thing;)

This book is VERY smutty and touches on a lot of different kinks!
Despite being a book focused on sexual themes, it’s well-written! I was fairly surprised! It’s definitely silly but also maybe something that could be recommended to girlfriends, or something to tab and come back to later. The plot is pretty loose and there weren’t many answers about the phone magically turning into a man, but that’s not really why we’re reading it, is it? 😂

This was such a fun read! It’s mainly smut, however I thoroughly enjoyed the well-rounded characters. The author did so well to weave in bits of information that made the world come to life, even though it is a short novella!
The fmc is a phone sex operator whose phone shifts into the man of every woman’s dreams. And the way her and the mmc play when she’s working I thought was really great, instead of anyone getting jealous and starting drama.
Overall, very much loved this novella. I was obsessed with the author’s main novel && grabbed this one as soon as I could! Her writing is pleasantly descriptive, but not overbearing. I highly recommend this novella if you’ve found yourself in the world of inanimate object smut😅

Thank you to the author for this early release ARC! This novella comes out on September 13th.
This indie and self published author has a good writing style and stays on topic well. She has one other book released at this time and if the writing is as good as this short novella, I am excited to begin! The author warned the reads upfront that this novel is NOT plot driven and I will say I agree with her! There was about 20% plot- but the plot that was there was sweet.
While there is smut there are also a few other romance tropes: only one bed, he falls first, forbidden love.
The reason I took 1 star off is only because she main character Harper just goes along with this completely impossible plot. I needed her to be more curious and get to the bottom of wtf happened and how this man appeared and where is her princess phone!!!!!!!!!

So cute, fun, and sexy!
This is the first book I have read like this, and it was just delightful! If you are looking for a book that is fluffy and spicy, then this is a perfect read for you. This book will make you both blush and giggle.
It was also a super quick read. I was able to read it in less than two hours. So if you are also looking for a fun read that you can finish in one sitting, then this is perfect.

A palette cleanser, BUT AWH I LOVED THIS ONE. Pierce, originally a pink landline phone, somehow someway turns HUMAN. And my god, he’s so much better than the men out there (why wouldn’t he be? He’s fictional) I loved this! What was unexpected but really nice about this was that it had some plot besides the smut. I loved seeing Pierce become more human with some mundane tasks he did with Harper & the best part? It’s a HEA. 💓

This book is wild. Hung Up takes the idea of romance and flips it on its head in the funniest, steamiest way. Harper isn’t about to let convention hold her back, and what unfolds is equal parts unhinged, spicy, and totally unforgettable. Quick read, big vibes, and definitely one you’ll be talking (or thinking **wink) about after.

Phew is it hot in here? What a fun read. I thoroughly enjoyed it but I think my kindle might have melted a little! Who knew a phone could be so sexy? That dp scene will linger in my mind for a while... ❤️❤️❤️❤️
